I had my bus parked in Hollywood in the same spot for a year. Just moved it for street cleaning and then right back to the same spot...i will say I was not living in it but I was there every day because I was slowly and secretly gutting it out, lol. It was challenging but it was there for a year.

Wait. You shower?? Inside your bus no less?? I thought the whole point of bus life was to not shower. Every vid I get further mind blown. The shit you can learn from watching this channel is comparable to none! It's impressive to say the least. But what's really over the top is this gamer dude from the Midwest that has an impressive set of skills to not only build this bus, but then be able to fix everything that breaks along the way. Strong work!

I live in LA. The thing to know about LA is it has some areas that are "unincorporated" - meaning they have their own municipalities. Although, technically par of LA, they operate independently. Like Glendale, Burbank, Culver City, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Pasadena, etc. They have their own city halls, court offices, police departments and those little municipalities basically rely on tickets to fund their entire operation. So, rule of thumb is, stick to areas of town that fall under the LA proper jurisdiction. Venice, Playa del Rey, Marina del Rey, West LA, Mar Vista, Palms, Koreatown, DTLA, Topanga Canyon. These all fall under LAPD jurisdiction and will tend to leave you alone unless you're causing trouble.

Love that you are figuring this stuff out for us. I however, would NEVER even dream of just taking a chance that my animals would get towed off somewhere. My animals are way more important than some movie night.

I definitely expected a comment like this and totally see where you're coming from. We felt very sure we weren't going to get towed or we wouldn't have left. We also left our number on the door incase there were problems and talked to a local who told us we wouldn't get towed. Some of that is just for the video haha. It was stressful though for sure!

I hope you see my message, my daughter moving in California with her tiny home bus. She will work there as an accountant. She plan to leave in her tiny home bus. Is theres a good location to park in Los Angeles?

With that first ticket, best result is before moving the car take pictures of the signs with the car possibly in view and mail in the contested ticket.

LA parking seems stressful. I think next time you should take the car out to LA and leave the bus outside the city limits. This city is really aggressive against homeless and houseless people. But people seem to make it work there, judging from the other RVs and Vans spotted in the video.

It was an absolute mess. I’ll never take my bus back to LA lol. I’ll just fly next time. Apparently we just parked in the wrong neighborhood…

Walmart and Home Depot come to mind. They allow 1 day overnight.

I quit anything to do with California, I even refuse to take an international flight that changes flights there. We use to vacation there back before it went woke and broke ...

In 2014 I took a 4 month tour from Vancouver BC to New Orleans and back. By the end of it I don't think there was enough space for even one more ticket in my glovebox. Valid or not I knew I would never pay them so it made parking a breeze. The game, obviously, is to avoid the tow.
    Sorry America.
