Boy 1970 was an incredible year for concerts and gigs here in Toronto. I have to agree on your number one Pat. It's the same with me. I seen Sabbath that year and I got to tell you for me it was rock in a whole new direction. I seen them on raw opium and that might of had something to do with it. The Beach Boys were on before them and the crowd was yelling for them to get off the stage so they could see Sabbath. They even threw veges and shit at them. LOL... Mike Love said if you guys don't stop throwing stuff at us we'll leave. Big mistake, the missiles doubled. LOL.. I got to admit though they broke into a song and visibley were dodging stuff. But they won over the crowd shortly soldiering on and weren't bad at all. Then Sabbath blew everybody away.... Lets see now 1970, The 12 Dreams of Doctor Sardonicus, Moondance, Cosmos Factory, Band of Gypsies. Never saw the Experience but I did see Band of Gypsies. Live at Leeds, Tea for the Tillerman, Cricklewood Green, Blackmans' Burdon would all get consideration from me.... You know something your right about rock changing. Something happened to rock in the early 70s. Rock got disembowelled and what fell out was punk, metal, glam, rap, hair, aor and worst of all disco in the 70s. Certainly some arcane ones. For your next year 1971 I wonder how many would pick the psyche classic Quintessence Dive Deep.... Cheers.
I was just looking at 71. It may be harder than this was to narrow it down to 10. Tea For The Tillerman was my #10 but I just couldn’t leave off Bridge Over Troubled Water. As far as weak records making my top 10 in the late 70’s. No way. Quite frankly some of the best albums from the late 70’s weren’t top sellers. We will see when I get there.

Hey Mr. Rich, Me and Grandpa really enjoyed this!! Grandpa graduated high school In 1971. So 67-71 are his favorite years.... I really love most of the top ten today, especially after the gold rush and American Beauty... Oh also Plastic ono Band... We listen to and try and find lps from these years... When I started listening to records with Grandpa, these were some the first ones ... Almost forgot New morning... So good.. thanks Mr. Rich. Olivia..
Mine for 70' Just a few of them. Led Zep III . Cosmos Factory- CCR. Funhouse - Stooges.Deep Purple in Rock -D.P. Sweet Baby James - James Taylor. Band of Gypsys - Jimi Hendrix.Let it be - The Beatles. Tea for the tillerman - Cat Stevens. These to me are all classics.
What a great year 1970 was for albums, I know we all have our personal favourites, but how could you not have Abraxas by Santana, absolutely fantastic.
Hey Rich.. Just wanted to thank you for the nice comment to my grand daughter Olivia today. She doesn't really to much to anyone but you. She loves your videos. She is quit amazing for her age. Loves music and can Dig with the best of them. She has been home from school this week due to illness, but is feeling better. After your 1970 top ten, she was wanted to hear " American Beauty". So thanks buddy, Olivia is a fan of your channel, and a good judge of character. Peace and love love. Dan.
I always thought "The Boxer" was the killer cut from Bridge Over Troubled Water. I need to revisit that full album. After all these years of just the cd, finally got "Funhouse" on vinyl this year. Wow!! So many great albums in 1970 and IMO you showed some of the best. I am not at all familiar with that Bob Dylan. I kind of stopped after Nashville Skyline. Yeah that "I am Iron Man!" is cheese.
I’m really enjoying this series. I haven’t commented on every video, though. Really glad to see New Morning on here as I feel that album doesn’t get enough love. I had 5 albums from 1970 in my 200 favorite albums. Aereo-Plain by John Hartford. Led Zeppelin III. Moondance. Spirit in the Dark by Aretha. And Cosmo’s Factory. If I was flushing out a Top 10, I would go with a few from this list for sure. Cheers ✌🏻
Hi Richie - greetings from North East England. A great channel and a good list as ever. I'm doing similar top 10s, but I don't look at your year until I've completed mine-this is difficult enough without being influenced by other (very well informed) opinions. A little overlap on 1970 between our two lists.
I liked the description of the music splintering. I was supposed to see Black Sabbath around 1973, but they cancelled. Their 1st album was a student union staple. Thanks, Chris
1970 great year. Thanks for talking about it. I like alot of 70's music but yeah what's the deal with the harps? I’m with you on The Stooges Funhouse great record! Yo, Keep on Truckin Richie
I love all of the choices for this special year (the year I was born). 😃 I just bought that Bob Dylan record and I'm looking forward to hearing it on vinyl. Funhouse is terrific and the Black Sabbath are great. Art Garfunkel's vocals still give me goosebumps when I hear Bridge Over Troubled Water. Paul wrote that incredible song but no one can sing it like Art did. Take care.
I think you will enjoy New Morning. Art Garfunkel does a great version of I Only Have Eyes For You on his Breakaway album. It is something special. Thanks for stopping by.
My favourite albums of 1970: 1. COB - Spirit of Love 2. Nico - Desertshore 3. The Beatles - Hey Jude (comp) 4. Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath and Paranoid (both of em) 5. Plastic Ono Band - Plastic Ono Band 6. The Doors - Morrison Hotel 7. Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother 8. Simon & Garfunkel - Bridge over Troubled Water 9. Hawkwind - Hawkwind 10. Velvet Underground - Loaded ( 11. Robin and Barry Dransfield - Rout of the Blues (Folk) ) 👍
@@vinylrichie007 yeah I saw 😉. It was my favourite album for a long time. They played one of the tracks at her funeral - I think it was Abschied. Petit Chevalier was sung by her son (who also became an addict unfortunately). Beautiful poetry though - def worth a few plays, although it might be a “grower” ✌️
Wow, what great selections, Richie. Fantastic, superb albums, all of them. I wore that Black Sabbath debut album OUT!! Also, it is so cool to see someone praise "New Morning", one of Dylan's most unique and underappreciated albums. Cheers! Jeff
Santana-Abraxas, Blood, Sweat & Tears 3, CSN&Y-Deja Vu, CCR-Cosmos Factory, Traffic-John Barlycorn Must Die, Deep Purple-In Rock, kudos for Bitches Brew & S&G...1970 was a great year for music but, 1971 was even better
1970 was indeed a great year. I don’t have Abraxas on vinyl. If I did I don’t think I could keep it out of the top ten. The first four Santana albums are all great.
Nice list Richie, I agree with you ranking the debut higher than the follow up. Good span of albums too great stuff but your the king so what's not to expect
Love American beauty, Box of rain is one of my favorites songs, New morning too, fantastic that's one of my fave Dylan LPs After the gold rush, ..don't let it bring you down.....can't go past Miles either, good selection,g'day from Melbourne,OZ
...great 2022 for you! top choice 'funhouse' is outstanding! had the 1st Sabbath as an UK first pressing, but because a tiny scratch on the last track i exchange it to the dealer the next fair and took another record - same price range (1998 mabe 50-70 USD) - i'm so stupid, fuck the tiny scratch, nowdays far too expensive...
I can say I have never listened to an Art Garfunkel album so now you have me intrigued. Curtis is one of my favorite albums of that year. When I was looking up albums for 69 Bitches Brew popped up so I used it there and now I find it was 70. As usual I screw up a year, no big surprise I guess. Great picks, a lot of similar ones in my list
Great list. Another favorites from that year : In Rock, Moondance, Abraxas, Déja Vu, Loaded, Cosmo's Factory, Morrison Hotel, Led Zep III, Closer to Home..
Evening Rich👋🏻 nice pull on Bridge over troubled....I’ve seen that Curtis at the antique mall! And I passed on it😱guess I shouldn’t have doh!.....love that cover of Dylan, I had a huge tapestry of it back in the day wish I still had it....ooooo Dead!! Hell yes Richie you be hittin’ it outta the park✊🏻✊🏻✊🏻NEIL nuff said lol🎶🎶🎶Lennon cool hmmmm surprised to see this in your lineup✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻enjoyed this Pat! Good seeing ya- Lis 🎶😎🎶
The Beatles have to be my all time favorite band and John is my favorite Beatle. Thanks for stopping by. I listened to that Mystic Braves album the other day.
All great choices and you could do top 30 easily , for Bridge Over Troubled Water , what did it for me was The Only Living Boy in New York , missing your best friend since you were a boy , just great
What a great variety in your picks. Sabbath - Lennon & Ono - Miles - Young - Dead - Dylan - S&G, Mayfield. All great. Can't argue with any of them, but it did surprise me a bit. Enjoyed very much. Another good one as always.
@@BattManion1979 A good list but none are better than the Black Sabbath debut. Benefit, Led Zeppelin lll and Lizard came very close to making the top ten.
1.Layla and other assorted...-Derek & the Dominoes 2.Loaded-Velvet Underground 3.After the Gold Rush-Neil Young 4.Led Zeppelin III 5.Moondance-Van Morrison 6.Plastic Ono Band-John Lennon 7.Lola vs Powerman and the Moneygoround-The Kinks 8.Cosmo's Factory-CCR 9.The 12 Dreams of Dr. Sardonicus-Spirit 10.Workingman's Dead-Grateful Dead
I liked, Hell I still love the Iron Man intro, cool either way to see Sab get the #1, 1971 has got to be one of Rocks strongest years, looking forward to that.
I love that Simon and Garfunkle album. It's one that I see popping up pretty regularly in charity shops. I really struggle With Dylan. I get his historical relevance and respect the part he played in the evolution of popular music but his voice grates me! American Beauty was my introduction to the Dead and love it to this day. After the gold rush is an incredible album and Sabbath's debut is, in my humble opinion, one of the greatest albums ever made. Great choices!
On the early Dylan albums the harmonica really grates me. At times it is ear piercing. I like his voice on most albums but the vocals on his later albums are frightening. I play his Christmas album on Halloween. When he starts singing “Here comes Santa Claus” the trick or treaters run for their life.
Another great list, man! Surprised you rank Sabbath's debut higher than Paranoid, but hey... 2 stellar albums in one year, so who's complaining? I like that Fun House is also highly ranked. Looking forward to 71!
Good evening! I am from Montreal and I just want to drop a line to let you know we have 2 things in common: 1) a passion for music (including collecting) and yes 2) the NY Jets…..cheers! Keep on doing your great work. Love watching you!
@@Warnerchild The Carpenters were a group that I didn’t pay much attention to at the time. It wasn’t until the 80’s that I realized how great they were. There was a great PBS special on the Carpenters that really opened my eyes.
Grateful Dead, 1 hit wonders… LOL 😂 Great choices, Richie. Those are all fantastic albums, of which I fortunately own most of. Great stuff as usual. Thanks, Richie.
You are right about Bridge Over Troubled Water. Their best album. The Bob Dylan I like best was probably his earlier stuff. After The Gold Rush is probably my all time favorite of 1970. I could never get into that Miles Davis album. That’s just me. John Lennon did leave us some good music. Enjoyed your video. I agree about the change in music.
Some great albums in 1970. I listened to 71 albums all day yesterday and have my list complete except #10. It is always tough to decide what will be #10 and what will be left off.
Mine would be: 1. Black Sabbath - Paranoid 2. Caravan - If I Could Do It All Over Again, I'd Do It All Over You 3. Quicksilver Messenger Service - Just For Love 4. Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin iii 5. Funkadelic - Funkadelic 6. Exuma - Exuma 7. David Bowie - The Man Who Sold The World 8. Funkadelic - Free Your Mind And Your Ass Will Follow 9. Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath 10. Syd Barrett - The Madcap Laughs
@@fantasypgatour I like Zeppelin lll but it is not top ten for me. Maybe top 25. I don’t like it as much as the first two. It is trendy to like it now. Many pick it as their favorite Led Zeppelin album.
@@vinylrichie007 Yeah it's one of my favourite Zeppelin albums, I love the acoustic influence and Since I've Been Loving you alone is enough for it to make the top 10 aha.
Great list Ritchie , i would have ranked Deep Purple " In Rock" between Black Sabbaths debut album and " Paranoid " on my list. The birth of Heavy Metal was awesome.
Damn I was hanging with ya doing these Top 10 but I’m falling behind LoL! Still haven’t done 69 yet I’ll try and get back in the game! Work is killing me Testing 40 people a day for the Rona! Then I’m too exhausted to do vids LoL! This is great Loved that you showed S&G Loved that album as a kid! The Boxer! Cecilia! Bridge! Man it’s a good album! The artwork on that Miles is so wild! Stooges! Black Sabbath debut was a bit of a surprise! Not because it’s not great cuz it is! I just didn’t know that you were so fond of the Sabs! Killer! Peace ☮️✌️👽🤘☮️ PS I loved the intro to Iron Man as a kid! Who am I kidding? I still dig it! LoL!
Happy to see your choice for number one because that would also be my choice for number one. I now feel strangely validated. I see a lot of people mention this album now and say it’s good but not great. Actually, it IS great.
Another great year and another great list. I can't argue with any of your choices. I do love Bridge by S&G but enjoy Bookends more. The weak link in Bridge is the live cover of Bye Bye Love. Should have included one more original instead.
Great selection Richie, I totally agree with your critic of POB album and Fun House, it’s also my favorite of all the Beatle solo albums. Looks like you have the new double album, I highly recommend the supper deluxe cd set, it’s really good. Love the Sabbath albums also, I would have placed Sabbath around number 7 and 8. CCR - Cosmos Factory would be in my top 5 and Sex Machine - James Brown.
My favorites from 1970: Pink Floyd - Atom Heart Mother (my favorite Pink Floyd album) Paul McCartney - McCartney (my favorite Beatles solo album, and I don’t care if the entire world disagrees with me) CSNY - Deja Vu Paul Kantner / Jefferson Starship- Blows Against the Empire Beatles - Let it Be Neil Young - After the Gold Rush John Lennon - Plastic Ono Band Derek and the Dominoes - Layla George Harrison - All Things Must Pass (Got the remastered vinyl boxsets and/or anniversary editions of 5 of the above; this was an expensive year for me.) and in no particular order: Chicago - II James Taylor - Sweet Baby James Joni Mitchell - Ladies of the Canyon Leon Russell - Leon Russell Jethro Tull - Benefit Rod Stewart - Gasoline Alley Traffic - John Barleycorn Must Die Led Zeppelin - III Elton John - Tumbleweed Connection Badfinger - No Dice Velvet Underground - Loaded Stephen Stills - debut Cat Stevens - Tea for the Tillerman
I really enjoyed your 1970 video. My picks would look very different. I counted only 4 that would have picked. Is it to late to start doing this thread? LOL Good job as usual Richie.
I'd never thought of that Curtis album being a bit overproduced, but you may well have a point. Good list, it's nice to see someone (anyone) saying something nice about Paul Simon. I've never still heard New Morning.
More Stooges, double shot of Sabbath. Incredible album from Lennon...my classic Buick Skylark custom - red exterior w. black interior! Lol! What was not to like about 1970?! 🚘🤘🎶🤘
1970…maybe the best year in music? Probably so. When I got the Plastic Ono Band when it came out, I thought it had either Instant Karma or Power to the People on it. I was disappointed but that went away quickly….one of my fave albums.
I really liked the early John Lennon singles. Now of them were put on an album. I just looked at 71 and it may be harder than this to narrow down to 10.
Fantastic overview of a great year for music Richie (although perhaps not as great as 1971). I can't agree with you on the Paranoid cover haha. Bitches Brew though is of course a beautiful cover and a fantastic and unique record. John McLaughlin's playing is incredible. Fun House is another stunning bit of cover art. Can't go wrong with the Black Sabbath debut of course.
Another tough year to narrow it down to ten picks. I wouldn't argue with any of your choices; I am not familiar with the Simon and Garfunkel or the Lennon or Dylan records. Possible replacements for those three (for me) are CSNY - Deja Vu and Crabby Appleton. (I'm kidding about Crabby Appleton....maybe Cosmo's Factory by CCR and Santana's Abraxas.) I enjoyed the video!
Abraxas should be on my list but I don't own it on vinyl. The Lennon album is pretty unique. For the most part it is John Lennon on guitar, Ringo on drums and Klaus Voorman on bass. Very sparse.
At first when you said, "This album starts out with harps"...I swear I thought you said, "This album starts out with FARTS." That would've been my #1 rekkid of 1970!
I prefer listening to Art Garfunkels solo albums, but it's all great music. If I should think of the best song of 1970 then it might be Maybe I'm Amazed by Paul McCartney for me.
That is interesting. If I did best songs of 1970 Maybe I’m Amazed, McCartney is a favorite of mine but I couldn’t put it top ten. Easily top 20. Which ain’t bad.
of course there is no right or wrong when someone picks their favorites, i liked your pickets ,but one thing i do is look at these years thru the mindset i had in these years, in 1970 ,i woke up the first day in santa barbara, and know exactly what was being played by friends and record stores, gasoline alley, gerorge harrison and lennon and mc cartney 's,leon russell was everywhere, james taylors ,sweetbaby james, cat stevens, and traffic, and DYLAN 's new morning, which confused a lot of people,(if dogs run free),kinks, were king. There were so many great records that actually still hold up today,Deja Vu was on everyones turntable, moondance is another, pink floyd atom heart--i could go on and on ,its almost like 10 albums are too small in scope,so many were and are still good, thats why i like looking back thru my 1970 lens ,in the years some of the best would not be considered as good today=== i like my 1970 brain better. haha-another nice one thanks for doing such an important year, because in a few years it would all change=Does anyone talk about Leon Russell anymore but in 1970 eeryone wanted to play with him.👍
I really like the early Leon Russell albums. In fact I love all the albums you mentioned except Atom Heart Mother. That was never a favorite Pink Floyd album for me. Tea For The Tillerman was going to be my #10 but I couldn’t leave Simon and Garfunkel off. I meant to mention the song The Boxer. That is a favorite of mine. Also, Abraxas should have made my list but I don’t have it on vinyl.
@@vinylrichie007 yes there are so many great albums, atom heart was the tour where floyd were making more complicated music in concert ,i saw that tour at santa monica civic, and this quad sound was all around you, some guy started screaming and running up the asile freaking out, haha funny now but that night it was scarey hahaha, good luck and wish you.d do part two at 1970-- 1971was also an amazing year👌atom heart was not my favorite ,also, then i.ve grown to like it more in later years .
1. Genesis- Trespass 2. King Crimson- Lizard 3. Jethro Tull- Benefit 4. Van der Graaf Generator- H to He Who Am The Only One 5. The Mothers of Invention- Burnt Weeny Sandwich 6. Soft Machine- Third 7. Black Sabbath 8. Magma- Kobaia 9. Black Sabbath- Paranoid 10. Led Zeppelin III Yeah, as you can see I'm a huge prog rock fan. I have to say I'm just listing my personal favorites and am not trying to be objective in any sense.
I agree on Fun House, such a great recording. Were you thinking of Don't Let It Bring You Down as the other rocker on After the Gold Rush? It's kind of a rocker. I really love that Black Sabbath debut, I believe it was the first record I ever bought. That one and Paranoid are the only Black Sabbath records I own. I do prefer Working Man's Dead over American Beauty, but as you say, it's all personal taste.
1970 was one of the very best years. Have to include Zeppelin III, George Harrison All things must Pass, Beatles' Let It Be, CCR's Cosmos Factory, Deja Vu by CSN&Y, Santana Abraxas, Jethro Tull Benefit, Mountain Climbing, Grand Funk Closer to Home, and Layla by Derek and the Dominos. All essential albums of the year.
Double Black Sabbath is justified. I've held out for of finding a clean old school Curtis in the wild. May have to settle for a repress or an online purchase whenever I can start buying vinyl again. I love the waffling. Waffles>Pancakes.
1973 was the best year in music for me but 1970 is not far behind. Bitches Brew is an epic LP. Still looking for a good early copy of Funhouse. Same deal. Hard to find at any kind of reasonable price for the condition.
I listened to 1971 albums yesterday and have the list complete except for #10. It is always hard to pick #10 and what to leave out. Off the top of my head I'm not sure what came out in 73. I know no Miles.
There are two I would have included: Moondance by Van Morrison and Layla by Derek & The Dominos. John Lennon's solo and Neil Young's After The Goldrush are classics.
It's all good man, I jest.. There were sooo many good albums coming out almost constantly back then, it's pretty challenging to keep track of everything and formulate any kind of list at all. There's bound to be albums that get skipped over or that some might not dig, as it's all subjective anyway. 🙂 Rock on! 🤘
Favorites from 1970 : The Stooges - Funhouse Rolling Stones - Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out Derek & The Dominos - Layla Jimi Hendrix - Band Of Gypsys Led Zeppelin III Black Sabbath - Paranoid Taste - On The Boards Rod Stewart - Gasoline Alley Free - Fire & Water Elton John - Tumbleweed Connection

I liked the description of the music splintering. I was supposed to see Black Sabbath around 1973, but they cancelled. Their 1st album was a student union staple. Thanks, Chris
Holy crap, Black Sabbath in73 would have been awesome.
1970 great year. Thanks for talking about it. I like alot of 70's music but yeah what's the deal with the harps? I’m with you on The Stooges Funhouse great record! Yo, Keep on Truckin Richie
1970 was an explosion of great music. Thanks for watching.
Great top 10!! I agree with you , Funhouse is awesome! Great job , the Sabbaths are killer ! 👍🤘🤘

Thanks for stopping by.
i love the simplicity of the Paranoid cover. we only had 1 match this time
Only one? Did Abraxas make your top ten. It should have made mine but I don’t have it on vinyl.
@@vinylrichie007 yes, Abraxas was in, the only one we matched was Parinoid

9. Hawkwind - Hawkwind
10. Velvet Underground - Loaded

I just bought Desertshore and recently showed it inna vinyl finds video.

Cheers! Jeff

1970 was indeed a great year. I don’t have Abraxas on vinyl. If I did I don’t think I could keep it out of the top ten. The first four Santana albums are all great.

Side one of American Beauty is perfect. Three of my favorite songs on the album are bookended by Box Of Rain snd Candyman. Great year of music.
Tough to leave out live albums for the year that both Live at Leeds and Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out were released!
Same with 71 and the Allman Brothers at the Fillmore.
Great list! "Electric Funeral"!

...great 2022 for you! top choice 'funhouse' is outstanding! had the 1st Sabbath as an UK first pressing, but because a tiny scratch on the last track i exchange it to the dealer the next fair and took another record - same price range (1998 mabe 50-70 USD) - i'm so stupid, fuck the tiny scratch, nowdays far too expensive...
Even US versions of the Sabbath albums with the green label are expensive. Vertical swirl versions are crazy expensive.
My favorite Art Garfunkel albums are Breakaway from 75 and Watermark from 77.
Great list. Another favorites from that year : In Rock, Moondance, Abraxas, Déja Vu, Loaded, Cosmo's Factory, Morrison Hotel, Led Zep III, Closer to Home..
Closer To Home got heavy consideration. In all honesty, Abraxas should have made the list but I don’t own it on vinyl.

Great year.
I liked, Hell I still love the Iron Man intro, cool either way to see Sab get the #1, 1971 has got to be one of Rocks strongest years, looking forward to that.
Sabbath ruled.
I think the Sabbath debut is superior and it was like no other album at the time. Thanks for watching.

A fine list dude. Loaded by VU (uneven as it was) & Zep 3 would've made my list. Can't wait for 1971!
Loaded is way to inconsistent to be a top ten for me. Led Zeppelin gets close.
I have a couple Art Grafunkle LPs I need to revisit. Sabbath, Miles, Stooges what Sabbath again? solid picks ...well except missing LZ III ;)
You don’t seem like an Art Garfunkel guy but I guess I don’t either. I don’t care for Led Zep lll as much as dome of their other albums.
@@vinylrichie007 Yea Art is not a go too solo but I play S&G on a Sunday afternoon once in a while.

3. Quicksilver Messenger Service - Just For Love
4. Led Zeppelin - Led Zeppelin iii
5. Funkadelic - Funkadelic
6. Exuma - Exuma
7. David Bowie - The Man Who Sold The World
8. Funkadelic - Free Your Mind And Your Ass Will Follow
9. Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
10. Syd Barrett - The Madcap Laughs

Grand Funk Closer to Home and Grand Funk Live were both released in 1970 . Neither one made the list ?
Closer To Home was considered. Great album.
Happy to see your choice for number one because that would also be my choice for number one. I now feel strangely validated. I see a lot of people mention this album now and say it’s good but not great. Actually, it IS great.
Anyone that claims that Black Sabbath’s debut isn’t great has been listening to too much Charlie Brown music.
The production was also a part of this album's success. It sounded so damn good. Paranoid repeated the trick but then it all went south.
That Bob Dylan album has The Man In Me, theme song from The Big Lebowsky
Yes it does.

Do you really think Paranoid is a good album cover?

So good indeed.
Alot of these would be in my Top 10. Love that Dead and Sabbath albums. Im not a Dylan or Young fan though.
of course there is no right or wrong when someone picks their favorites, i liked your pickets ,but one thing i do is look at these years thru the mindset i had in these years, in 1970 ,i woke up the first day in santa barbara, and know exactly what was being played by friends and record stores, gasoline alley, gerorge harrison and lennon and mc cartney 's,leon russell was everywhere, james taylors ,sweetbaby james, cat stevens, and traffic, and DYLAN 's new morning, which confused a lot of people,(if dogs run free),kinks, were king.
