Samantha Johnson the knife is at a mouldable heat but its not melted so that means it wouldnt be able to heat the other knie evough to melt it, if its a steel knife which im guessing it is it needs to be between 2300-2400°C to melt

heat the knife up really hot, then throw it into a sink that is FULL of water. try this with many types of water. regular plain water, soapy water, sanitizer water, then maybe sinkfulls of other liquids such as soda, milk, and even cleaning products such as windex or bleach. then for the grand finale, throw the knife into a sink full of gasoline. i would just fill a bucket full of gasoline and do it outside. if you do attempt any of this, it goes without saying, please be careful. thanks. merry christmas!
