One of the reasons I think Mr. Gear is one of the better 1000 degree knife channels is because he actually TURNS DOWN THE MUSIC. The sounds are about two thirds of the reason I watch these videos when Im stressed. I find these videos strangely satisfying. Having stupid stock music playing so loudly you can’t hear anything is so upsetting because I want to hear the knife actually going through. I like that he doesn’t blast it and focuses on the point of the video; the knife.

Can someone explain to me exactly how seeing something you think is cool on the internet, trying it yourself but with other stuff, and uploading it is "stealing content"? I'm not sure you guys know what "stealing content" means, it's not an original idea of course, a lot of things aren't, but where in the world do people get off treating someone like scum of the earth for uploading something they thought was cool? JogWheel used to make a show called "Is it a good idea to mircowave such and such", that doesn't mean any other channel that microwaved things for fun and uploaded it stole the freaking idea.

The thumbnails aren't the same at all, Fire's thumbnails all were actual pictures of him cutting the thing, this guys thumbnails are a picture of one of the things he cuts with a giant knife that was taken into photoshop and painted red added to the front of it. And as far as I can tell, the only thing, as far as video titles, that he has cut that are similar, is the rubber band ball. I can't claim to have seen all of either of their videos, but they do seem to cover very different items, Gear will tackle much more interesting and "extreme", for lack of a better word, objects. To me, it seems like this guy might have seen Fire's videos, thought it was cool, and thought he would try to take it to the next level. Sure, he profits from how popular and cool the idea is, but that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve to if he's taking it a level further than Fire did.
