Apple actually leaves more headroom in its AXX chips to help them run cooler. This means, in theory, you could probably overclock their mobile chips and get even more power out of them if you had better cooling methods. Not to sound like a fanboy, but Apple has some amazing thermal dynamics engineers.

After my initial set up and charging, I haven’t noticed the phone getting hot anymore. I think it was just busy setting up all of the apps while charging while using it to record video. The amazing thing is that even though it got warm, I did not notice any performance issues at all. Also, I like these table top discussions (almost podcast format) and would like to do more of them, and bring you in on some of them. Down for that? We could record at the Oaks office for a nice backdrop.

@@TechyAgent You know I am always down for that kind of stuff! As for the heat, that is something that is very underrated. When I was looking at cameras, the heat issue seemed to plague a lot of reviews. You even talked me out of the one superzoom Panasonic due to its 20-30 minute max recording time.

Yep: and even though a couple of the Sony cameras I have can, in theory, record until the battery runs out, I’ve run into a couple situations where the camera began to overheat after recording in 4K for about 30 minutes. It was in 80 degree weather, but still, not exactly as “unlimited” as they specified the camera to be.

I got the smallest storage, just because I use the iCloud. And I didn’t want to spend so much money! But I’m jealous, I would’ve loved to have more storage!
