Equal Pay Matters to Mississippi Women's Pocketbooks

Black women in the state of Mississippi only earn 56¢ for every dollar earned by a White male. On January 27th we convened at our State Capitol to express our stance on what an Equal Pay Law should include.
We placed pocketbooks filled with a cookie with “56c” on it, our policy agenda and our call to fix glaring flaws in the equal pay legislation on every lawmakers desk.
