If you want a real Pheasant hunt you need to go up to the midwest in the fall. Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, the Dakotas. Some of the public lands do get stocked with Roosters by the DNR, but its still harder than the preserves here in VA. I still try to make it back to Iowa each year to chase Pheasants with my dad. It's a heck of a time.
I live in kansas and we had record amounts of pheasants on our farm this year, I think we killed 8 this year and say another 20 including a few nests with eggs.
@@colevancleve6667Its illegal in those states, yes. But in Virginia game preserves are stocked with hens and roosters for shooting. It's more like harvesting than hunting really. There isn't even a bag limit on pheasant here because there's almost no wild birds. In Pennsylvania you can shoot wild hens too, no different than roosters.
I like how you kept the cage hunt in perspective In relation to hunting wild birds. I've hunted over released birds(not very often) for my dog training. And by the way, you're dangerous with that 20 gauge, Some good shooting. Wow.
3:03 In England we raise the birds from chicks and release to curtain places called drives (normally woodland) and they have free range for there whole lives until they are shot
Hey Kendall, I’m from England and I regularly go pheasant hunting in season. And I can say it isn’t like this at all, we release them in the thousands at the beginning of the season, then each day there’s a shoot we gather them together and “flush” them out for the guns to shoot.
I’m from England also and this is like shooting rats in a barrel, I’d rather shoot Clays than shoot tame pheasants. No disrespect to you KG, your a legend!!!
Traditionally 12 bore (gauge) double barrel shotguns are used for pheasant shooting (but that is where I live in the UK) also well done for getting some pheasants because they are - let's say they're not very bright and will fly off in any direction Also I've shot pheasants (only on the ground - as I've only got a couple of air rifles but no shotguns or rifles because firearms and shotgun licences are notoriously hard to get in the UK). Anyway those were some great shots there - Great Video, keep them coming...👍
Yeah not easy to get the license here so I'm in the same boat as you the only pheasant and partridge I could take would be with a 12lb a foot air rifle
It’s very easy to get a shotgun licence in the uk. You actually have a right to it under old English law. The police, when you apply for a shotgun licence, need a good reason to not give you one. Just get a decent cabinet and apply for one. Super easy.
@@Ian-ev5tg I'd have reason to own a shotgun which is pest control, I have access to about 100 acres for grey squirrel pest control (with my air rifles) and the land owners have said if I get a shotgun license then I'd be welcome to use the shotgun on their land, although the only real problem is that I don't really have anywhere to fix the cabinet securely, the walls in my house are wood and that wouldn't comply with their minimum standards for security, but I hope one day to get a shotgun, I've got the form all ready just waiting to be filled out.
Kendall dude! So glad everything is going so well for you. I have been watching your videos since the beginning and I love that you stay you man! Keep up the with great content.
Yeah. I gotcha on the "out of a cage" hunting. A friend used to work for a place much like that, and we hunted "cleanup" a couple of times when no paying clients were scheduled. It was a beautiful game farm.
Kendall needs to go on a waterfowl hun sometime. Im absolutely loving the big game and upland hunts but man, seeing kendall on some mallards or geese would be awesome.
Loved the video! I’ve hunted a few times over planted birds. I get the concept of it not being “real” hunting. With that said though, it would’ve been great for that lady to let the dogs work a bit more. That’s the joy i get out of hunting planted birds is just watching the dogs
thank u kg for posting the most amazing content. it just crazy how u put every thing in one video. iv'e been watching u since early dec. so i just wanted to say thank u and congrats on 2 mil
Hi I'm from Ireland and hunt phesanst the whole time they are wild and you actually have to hunt them you should come over and try or go to a driven shoot in England, but we have multiple other species you can hunt. The season lasts from November 1st to 31st of January We have snipe, phesant, woodcock, partridge and ducks are the main one you should try some time I have some vids up if you want to check them out
Up in Pennsylvania my dad and I hunt pheasant a lot. And we have a lot of state game lands during season small game season(Oct. 21-Nov. 11, Sunday Nov. 12, Nov. 13-18, Sunday Nov. 19, Nov. 20-24, Dec. 11-23 and Dec. 26-Feb. 29, 2024). My dad guides at a place similar to this at pheasant valley farm. But what I’ve heard is that they have wild pheasant populations up in the dakotas you can hunt.
Yeah I wouldn't call that hunting. Thats like getting a 10ft fence around your property and putting deer inside it to hunt. There's a place kinda like that here in Winchester Tennessee but its a natural field and the people who own it do guided hunts for pheasants
Hey Kendall! You should do a truckbed pool pond video this summer, the last one was one of my favorite videos, and it’s just something different. I know Ethan liked it to, he said so on a podcast a year and a half ago or something like that.
Would love to deer hunt again went with my brother and his friend when I got out of the Army, but my Alpha1 started to kick in bad a few years later could not walk long distances and its only got worse. So no more hunting for me. Even fishing is a no go for me cannot climb the banks. Stay safe and healthy my friend.
KG i love your videos you are an inspiration to me and my brother to get to know the Lord and nature better. Thank you for being so awesome!!!!!!!!! You are my favorite for the main reason that you are on of the only hunters on YT that are clean and Christian!!!!! You are soo cool and thank you soo much.
Love Pheasant. I don’t have a dog (well one that’s trained to hunt). So it’s kinda tricky but still fun. Going outside and enjoying nature. Planning on a trip to some public land here in NY (where they stock pheasants yearly) on 11/16. Hopefully I get something. Bag limit is 6 here in NY

Unfortunately northwest ks is in shambles after the drought, we used to go out and 20+ a hunt
@@ianberggren7599 our part of ks every pheasant around got killed there is very few of them left up here
You’re supposed to shoot roosters not hens because it is illegal

I’m from Scotland and I was thinking the same thing. It’s a bit unsporting
We just find wild ones
Jolly well right!
Not even sporting kendal . Those birds are way too low to be shot . Here in england you would be frowned upon for even raising the gun.

Day 1 of asking kendall to do another video with his 147 year old grandma. We miss her
I would love to see another mammy video. Great video KG!
Mammy Passed away a couple months back may she rest in peace

The shotgun videos are the best!!!
You were spoiled with that hunt, get on are cattle farm up here in South Dakota and we will see if you can hit one of these wild roosters!😉
You need to go duck hunting or snow goose hunting with like flair I think you would enjoy it
If I ever feel sad im just going to watch him
Yeah. I gotcha on the "out of a cage" hunting. A friend used to work for a place much like that, and we hunted "cleanup" a couple of times when no paying clients were scheduled. It was a beautiful game farm.
You could tell Kendall hated the way of this hunting 😂😂😂
I just finished a quail hunt that was the same way. It was some of the most fun I've ever had hunting with a bunch of my buddies.
If you want all natural pheasant hunts, go to the Midwest we have lots of them
I’m all for Kendall but can we just isolate the fact that the pheasant in the thumbnail is literally the size of a basketball 😂
Kendall needs to go on a waterfowl hun sometime. Im absolutely loving the big game and upland hunts but man, seeing kendall on some mallards or geese would be awesome.

"Glorified trip to the grocery store " 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
“Kendall gray vlogs posted a new video” that’s the best thing you can hear after school
Good to see upland stuff from you man! Would be cool to see you go after some wild birds though, it's a whole different experience. God bless

700 bucks to hunt chicken coop pheasants bout made me choke
Improved, modified, or full choke? 😂
I'll hide some chickens for 700$ if you wanna go out and look for them

watching the dog run was so cute

I don’t agree with this kind of hunting but that’s just my opinion
Because this isn't hunting
@@christianstone2339 exactly just seems weird to me personally
Let’s get a kg boom boom on RUMBLE!!!!
I just love seeing as soon as they shoot the dog just goes flat out and jumps into the long grass
nice vid kg!! I've been wanting some more podcast though i love them.
Im actually going to one of those pheasant farms this Saturday

If you like pheasant hunting you should consider coming to England we have loads of pheasant shoots
Kendall is just built different sometimes
It’s such a great day when Kendall Greg post
You need a flush dog.. That lady did all the flushing lmfao
You should come up to Nebraska and hunt some wild pheasant and some quail it like a state holiday when pheasant season opens up
