Hello great job , i have a few questions, can you do this over an existing granulated cap sheet with a low sloping roof?if yes, or would you need to place down asphalt first over the cap sheet so it will stick or do you nail down the base and then put on the granulated roof?

Seems like a practical approach , nothing fancy , his wife and him work well together…whistles n bows are not for everyone …. I believe the work is logical I doubt they will run into too many problems with this build… frugal budgeting whats not to love

From the current published specs for Polyglass self-adhered SBS roofing: "When re-roofing, *remove all prior roofing materials* down to a clean debris-free substrate and properly close off all abandoned roof penetrations." From the text of the Polyglass 20-year warranty: "The original installation of the roofing membrane must be in accordance with Polyglass current published specifications." That roof could never be warranteed for 25 years.
I would not have been paid if there was a leak. I billed them 2 months later. BTW, I have been doing roofing for over 40 years. Everyone have there own tricks and methods. Just because I do it a different way than you, doesn't mean it is wrong. Make some videos and show your method. That might be helpful.

Yes. The Roof Doctor is knowledgeable and does great videos on roof repair. However, these may all be "Infomercials' for his Turbo Poly Seal. He owns the company that makes it.

You cannot torch properly and have almost zero knowledge on basic flat roof systems There are so many steps you miss and do not know about that I can’t list them all The customers you do roofs for are not getting any professional workmanship You need to stop roofing on your own and go get hired at a reputable roofing company so you can learn how terrible you are at roofing. I sincerely hope you take this advice as your future customers deserve a roof done correctly Good luck

most of the time I use Turbo Poly Seal. Super Silicone I use on skylights and EPDM Rubber Roofs

Manufacturer actually says not to use a torch, but to use a hot air welder. This guy giving out bad info in every video
However, you only need a welder when it's granule over granule. If it's granule over fast lap then no extra steps are necessary
