I found that too. I have high porosity hair and only just discovered that my hair prefers gel when it's dry. Before that I never really used gel in my wash and go, but Camille Rose Naturals Curl Maker was a game changer. Realised that gel takes longer for my hair to absorb which leaves it hydrated for longer. This hair journey... But I love it lol.

Hey Amber, luv your vids! Please do an updated wash and go routine. Thanks. On a new note, I did a big chop on 8/1/18, no more dreds. However, i have an off topic question. Should i get a professional cut, trim, or none of the above? My hair is very fine and about 4 1/2” long. On the spring, it appears to be 1”, therefore hiding its unevenness. The back half of my hear is 3b and the front half is 3c. Not that this matters but I’m debating the professional scissors. What do you think? Should I let it grow out more or should i wait? Please share your thoughts or if anyone reading this has suggestions holla. Thanks a bunch!!! Keep up the good work!!!

when i first went natural in 1999, i realized that my hair took days to dry and that was problem living in the east coast in the winter especially. When the curly girl method came along she said put conditioner on the crown of your hair before washing. I did that when my hair was straight. Next thing you know, my hair was curly, but it dried really fast. I was like let me try this after i wash.I have been doing this for years now, especially in the winter. i wash/deep con on saturday, bun it and let it dry and then i put my styler on on sunday morning as soon as i get up so it can be drying while i am getting ready for church. Best thing i ever discovered as an east coast cold weather curly girl.

When I say I am loving this gel. Listen I did a wash and go and on the fourth day decided to add more moisturizer so I spritzed my hair with water and added moisturizer and then used my fingers to detangle, but when I tell you my fingers glided through my hair with no problem. I then proceeded to twist my hair in about 8 or 9 twists. I did not comb my hair out I just used my fingers to separate my hair and added water and moisturizer. A few days later I took the twists down and Omg I had the Best twist out Ever!!!! It looked like your curls on this video. It looked like a wash and go and was super soft. This gel cousin, this gel is Bae!!!! I am totally sold.

So we have the same kind of hair (fine and long) so have you ever tried “rice water”. I’ve seen a lot of videos on here with naturals trying it.

Question? (btw love your videos and I believe you are my curly hair sister which is great, check me out on instagram @amyaimsjay), I love to re-shingle my hair during the week and I see that you are doing a "dry wash and go", with this, I typically wet my hair with a spray bottle but I wanted to know, are you doing it without a spray bottle to mist hair or no water at all and just going in on straight dry hair? I may have missed it.
