Did you feel any altitude sickness? Did you take any medication for altitude sickness? I am planning to do the same hike in July, what advice can you give me please? thanks.
Best way is to stay there a couple of days before trekking and slow climbing. Most of travel agent have a reasonable plan to adapt high altitude for normal person. Usually people recommend to drink enough water and tea but you can ask your doctor for some medicine. If you are used to 7-10 hrs trekking and have enough strength you do not need to worry about altitude sickness. Though it is not easy to walk many hours at high altitude. It is normal. Slow and slow
How is it you didn’t even carry your own backpack? If my husband and I climbed together, unless I was having severe breathing problems, I wouldn’t have him carry everything.
what a spiritual place to be, I love Africa.

My travel agent arranged guides and porters who take care of my bagage and others for trekking
Sometime they carried my wife's small pack too
Got it! Thanks
