i sold my arc and bought a surge. i wanted something stronger. the bit holder on the arc flexes a lot. the t shank holder on the surge is a huge plus and its worth the trade off for the arcs hammer surface. theyre both perfect for different jobs. surge for outdoor and hard use work and arc for camera or ict or elictrician work.
As a wave + owner Leatherman emailed us an early offer with a small discount... I passed, I didn't complain, you have unlimited income, that's awesome, but not everyone does, my wave + and it's bit kit, works just fine for me
Not unlimited income. I wish I did. I am just old and with being old my house is paid off and everything I own is also paid off so it puts you in a better position is all.
I don't have the arc, but I have the surge and I love it! I also have never understood the winging about not being able to use 1/4 inch bits. I always looked at the extension bar and thought...HELLO... ANYBODY HOME? Anyway my whiskers are grey too so maybe that's why we think the same? 😂 Also, you can use a 1/4 inch socket adapter with the extension bar. 👍
I think it’s funny how people will bitch about $230 for a magnacut Leatherman with a ton of functionality, but have no issues with paying Benchmade’s ridiculous prices.
I wish I bought some spare Leatherman squirts! I have never collected anything in my life but every time I use my squirt I fear I'll bend my flat driver or snap my pliers.... Shame they discontinued it.
@@SurvivalSavvvy I googled it and brand new ones were going for $300 still in the packaging. But I decided to look again now that you replied to me and I found slightly used ones for $45 each, picked up two! Thank you!
I have a Supertool 300 that I weally like and wont replace, but I want one that i can carry im my pocket outside of work. Im inbetween an arc, wave, and Victorianox spirit. I can get a 30% off student discount with leatherman, but the spirit does have the perfect toolset. My main problem with the arc is that it has a lot of flex in the handles, and im qorried about the magnets breaking if it get dropped. Its not the best looking multi tool, but i think that it would be cool to just carry to town or something.
That is some great savings. Stay a student forever. 😂 I say do this order it and see what you think for 2 days, If you do not like it, send it back for another. But like I said in the video when I opened it I was like this is amazing.
I've owned two Arcs. Both suffered from major frame flex, blades that won't hold or take an edge worth squat, and wire cutters that broke on wire that even Gerber tools cut like butter. I'll stick with my Charge. It's superior to the Arc in every way
yeah but build quality and warranty is not as good as SwissTool X. Just sayin !!! The ARC is pretty sexy but the tools are a little schlocky and lack heavy duty-ness.
Do you own a handgun? Do you own a good camping knife? Do you own a car/truck? If yes how many kidneys did they cost you? :) I myself use a bark river knife when I hike which was way more than this leatherman. It really just comes down to if you like it. :)
Replacing my signal with the arc. Should be here any day. Thanks for the review!
I love my arc personally. I bought it as soon as it was launched. I've used it quite a bit.
You got it right, the Arc is a great tool!

I came very close to buying the surge. I may still buy it. thx for comment

All kinds of different surges out there which one is the best one to get?

I have the garage 005 with the spring loaded pliers and it’s so much better than my Arc or my Arc obsidian.

Ebay may have some

I honestly don't need this but I'm tempted to order it. Thanks for the informative video!
Glad it was helpful!

The greatest thing about the USA is choice. Thx for the comment
I work in HVAC. If you invest in a good tool it will provide the needed value/service.
Sidekick and Wingman have spring loaded pliers
Yeah I did look at those but I didn't really like the tools and size
Surge 👑🙏🏻
You guys are going to make me buy one. lol
Best of the best 😂 ja nah. That scissors alone are the most trashy all around. Tried to cut some yesterday. Nah, grabbed my 15$ Victorinox and done.

Pass, my kidney is going to stay where it is.

The case sucks! The Leatherman marketing team sucks!
