No trade , Dalton Knecht celling is very high as long as he has the IQ to be elite he has the physical, he could be a top 10 player in the league possibly top 5, depends on his development and mentality!
The list of Center should be: Walker Kessler, Nick Richards and Dayron Sharpe. You don't need a Big contract like Jakob Poeltl or Jonas Valanciunas, specially when the Lakers play Valanciunas off the floor in 5 minutes. Top priority would be Walker Kessler, then Nick Richards and last Dayron Sharpe. They are all younger than the other 2, more athletic and can still have some development. Yes, I know Nick Richards is a bit older but still he is 27 so still have some really good years on him
My thoughts exactly, and with the same priority order. Lakers do NOT need a big contract Big. This should be a Backup Big Bruiser. Someone who can hold it down when AD is off the court, with minimal play alongside him. A center that is reliable on defense, in order to reduce some mins off AD, to help preserve him throughout the season. When AD is off the court, opponents have consistently gone on a scoring spreee. As I typed this response, it happened again against the Rockers - Lakers got close, AD came off the floor, and Rockets scored around 10 unanswered points.
If you are not getting back at least a KAT or Kyrie level player you should not give up your future and a large segment of your current roster. I like Kessler but if Utah is asking for basically the Anthony Davis package to the Pelicans...no way.
If the Lakers open up a roster spot and give Koloko the same playing time Kessler gets he would develop to the same type player as Kessler! Don't be surprised if this happens!

He would work well I think. They don't need a shooting big. They have C Wood and that helped out in some match ups but for the ones they need it doesnt work. He can play with AD and have Hayes switch with him to move AD to the 5 and Hayes to the 4 during those stretches. They have shooters now and they dont have to play him many minutes. but is needed for match ups to have AD move to the 4 who can switch on guards and be a help defender and that may also help him increase his 3 ball so kesler can play inside more
Noooooooooooo Do not include DK4 in the trade. Unprotected first, another first and C Woods should be more than enough for Kessler. DK4 himself could be better than Kessler in 2-3 years.
No, shooting wise yes, team wise and winning wise kneact isn’t it, inconsistency, can’t dribble, can’t make his own shot, at least I could dribble off the pick and pops and shoot jumper when heavily contested, k4 can’t do that and don’t see him as a high ceiling type of player and defense is bad. I know he is just a rookie but I just don’t see a offensive game in him besides chuck up 3’s he got decent size but he be getting blocked every time like rui does, just needs to be more aggressive to to the bucket
If not Kessler I like Jakob , duop reath, Day Ron and last is claxton . Claxton is the best but the price makes it hard to get another guard or wing . And I think they need one more

Walker Kessler doesn’t need a 3-point shot, because he’s an elite defensive and rebounding center who is a literal game-changer in those two vital areas. fs. they need him to give ad a break defensively to have him more available on offense. I would be interested to see how kessler would change the energy of the whole team. Wouldn’t have to worry about defense as much
We are not worried about his lack of offensive scoring we have enough at that department. He can block, rebound, paint protector, and defend any big in the NBA. He's vital for us to go up against Jokic and other star and superstar bigs.
@@PhxRevlife54 not at all, he gets like 20 million a year, and everyone keeps mentioning all these centers that are starters or making starter money, they are looking for a BACK UP center that can shoot the 3 and rim protect, and FIT RIGHT AWAY in JJ FLOOR PLANS lol

If the Lakers offer the Jazz TWO UNPROTECTED 1st round picks (2027 and 2029) for Walker Kessler and Collin Sexton, no way does Danny Ainge say no to that. Who are you kidding?🙄 The Lakers should make this trade for two important reasons. First off, they’d be getting back two young talents in Kessler (age 23) and Sexton (age 25) going forward. Secondly, the Lakers can always flip Anthony Davis for three 1st round picks AND two elite, young, but proven NBA-level talents. Don’t get it twisted. This is the new NBA CBA. The Lakers are NOT beholden to Anthony Davis going forward. Trust and believe that the Lakers will look to add more good, young talent to their own four good, young talent of Austin Reaves, Max Christie, Dalton Knecht and Christian Koloko. Not only is LeBron James now 40 years old, but trust that he’ll opt out of his deal this summer, which is his patented playbook move to put pressure on any team that he’s on. The Lakers need to move off of his old ass and look to the future. You do that by making a trade for Walker Kessler and Collin Sexton and then by cashing in on Anthony Davis’ full trade value this summer.
Koloko is too small of a Center! and would get bounced around playing against the bigger Bruiser centers in this league! Definitely not a starting big😢
You said a 7 foot center’s “con” is he is a “floor shrinker” because he’s not a “3pt shooting threat”? lol this is why basketball is so cooked. Centers aren’t supposed to be on the 3 pt line chucking 3s all day since when is that a con for a guy who is 7 foot?
All of your comments are complaining about 3pt shooting lmao. Go pop in the VHS tape of 90s basketball and stay away from the modern game then. If you don’t think 3pt shooting bigs are valuable you’re in denial bud

@@derekchatman2595 And yet they're selling the Celtics because there's no way that the current owners will pay $500M in luxury tax soon.
@ Sometimes things come at a cost. Balmer could afford it and many others. You gotta pay to play. Also, the jump in salary is after Ainge with the signing of Porzingis etc…
Sheesh Knecht & 3 1st?
If the want Knecht like you mentioned 1 unprotected 1st & removing the protection and the previous 1st
Otherwise I’d do JHS & 3 1sts with protections no Knecht
Like you mentioned he doesn’t raise the defensive ceiling of the team while he does put up some statistics personally he doesn’t change the game around him for others they’ve been one of the worst teams for 3 years & he has a legit front court partner in Lauri
Utah likes to fleece gms in trades.
Paul Reed from the Piston is likely a better option than Stewart. His days in the 76ers backing up Embiid showed a lot of promises. Probably can get him with Milton and a second rounder.
Pretty sure Reed can’t be traded since he recently signed back with DET (60 day trade restriction).
@@JSM24 Ah that is good to know, thanks. Kind of disappointed that is the case though. Also the Lakers didn't waive someone and claim him IMHO was a mistake.
They should not have a give up everything for danny Angie hell the Lakers need to keep They young assets and top protected picks and they Utah keep Kessler since they are not giving him up nick Richards ASAP
Shouldn’t have let Zubac go
Do y’all not remeber Drummond??? Idk why everybody calling for Kessler
why would Utah trade him?
We don’t need a 3 pt
Your talking about the right team wrong player PF/C John Collins I’ve said this before small ball can WIN people C. J Collins
PF. A Davis
Sf. LBJ
Sg. A Reaver
Pg. J Vanderbilt
Kessler or not we really need a good rim protector C....God forbid anything happens to AD our paint def is doodles everybody be beating us in the paint ...even when AD sits opponent's wanna rim run cos we have no paint D....if we meet denver again we go two bigs if we meet ither teams we go one...if we meet cavs in the finals we go 2 bigs again...we really need a good paint def big man
*Will be more than worth it.
Isaiah Stuart, is the perfect center/
Power forward, that could play next to ANTHONY DAVIS. It's up
To LEBRON JAMES, and ROB PELINKA.
Knecht stays
How much better is Walker Kessler than Jackson Hayes? My guess is not that much. Keep the picks and look for a better option.
id rather wait for vando and gabe to comeback and see from there before we do anything else
Is Javale signed by Any team? Why don't we trade JHS for picks and make a roster spot open then sign Javale
Richard’s and bridges will make the lakers a win now team throw the future away for them they will have a top 3 defense and an amazing scoring/defensive option in bridges, trade rui Gabe hayes and picks
I think ideally I'd want Nick Claxton
Not sure if Isaiah would be a good choice tbh
Would Kessler even be on the floor against Denver down the stretch?? Stick him on Gordon and have LBJ/AD guard Murray and Joker? If you put Kessler on Jokic to fever their PnR the Bron on Gordon? They would both get cooked 😭😭
?? Kessler on Jokic, AD "on" Gordon, helping off of him when necessary, LeBron on MPJ, Max on Jamal and Austin on Braun. That's a great matchup.
Kai Sotto might be available
Is he good against jokic really ??
Why do we want him never heard of him
Knicks should get walker kessler or okc
He won't get traded. The Jazz already suck they don't need to tank holding on to young players is in their best interest.
They’re going for JV. Kessler isn’t worth the 1sts Utah is requesting.
they needa get either JV or nick richards from charlotte, both centers can create they own shot too
Dalton can leave if we get Kessler and reaves can go for anyone better than him
Lakers, don't trade with UTAH.
Koloko is too small of a Center! and would get bounced around playing against the bigger Bruiser centers in this league! Definitely not a starting big😢
Trading Rui vs Stewart lol... No.
If the Lakers give up a first for Kessler they’re idiots.
??????????????????????/????????>??????????????
Nick Richard is perfect he’s cheap
Isaiah Stewart
You said a 7 foot center’s “con” is he is a “floor shrinker” because he’s not a “3pt shooting threat”? lol this is why basketball is so cooked. Centers aren’t supposed to be on the 3 pt line chucking 3s all day since when is that a con for a guy who is 7 foot?
All of your comments are complaining about 3pt shooting lmao. Go pop in the VHS tape of 90s basketball and stay away from the modern game then. If you don’t think 3pt shooting bigs are valuable you’re in denial bud
@ you don’t know basketball.
@@surfa3543nah bud the problem is that you THINK you know ball
@ yea…you don’t know ball.
@@surfa3543 being a stretch big is now the trend in the modern nba. This isn't the plumber era. Having a big that can stretch the floor gives you more advantages, especially to contenders who has stretch bigas
Duop Reath.
kessler is not that good. can we calm down
Get Lauri mark
Any move of this caliber is going to require Dalton. Hope Rob is ready to pull the trigger.
Lakers should get Vucevic!
Fuck no
Nick Richards better ft
Move on from Kessler not worth that much
first
