Fantastic video finally some cerebral explanations of very simple things to do except tucking the pinky gets some getting used to. Better try it in practice to stretch that pinky muscle.
Always had too much side roll to play outside, now with your finger position for more roll end over end i will be more tooled to play that position . THANKS !
I am not Benji, but the general rule is that if you are opening up your angles you want to be left (or right for lefties) of your target with your slide foot. This will depend on your "drift" left (or right) of your target at the arrows with your slide foot. The key is opening up your shoulders to the target at the start and on the approach. Often the open shoulder will actually have you drift a bit away from the target, thus opening up your angles. Try not walking towards your target first and pay attention to the location of your slide foot in relation to your target. If you find that you are sliding left but missing inside your target, then consider moving further left to start but walking towards the target, this will help keep your finish position opened towards your target location.
@@justinhoward2108 I still don't quite understand what you are saying. Typically I start with my target being the 2nd arrow (10th board) from the right (I am a righty). I walk straight toward that target such that my left (slide foot) is planted at the foul line at about the 15th board. This places my right shoulder at the 10th board. Now as the lanes break down and I want to move left I have my slide foot planted at about the 20th board, but that means my right shoulder at the 15th board, 5 whole boards away from the 2nd arrow. So if move left 5 boards do I change my target 5 boards left as well? If I keep the target at the 10th board but my shoulder is at the 15th board, I have to have a sharp angle from the 15th board to go up the 10th board. Maybe 25% of the time, my ball goes into the right gutter when my right shoulder is so far away from the target arrow. What do I do to correct this?
@@w.r.adams-cooley8096 As you move left the general rule is 2:1, 2 boards with your feet and 1 with your eyes (target). So if you are moving 5 boards left you might move your eyes 2 - 3 boards with it (12 or 13 board if you started at 10). You are correct that playing 10 board with a 5 board move with your feet would be a very sharp angle and lead to a gutter from time to time. Try the 2:1 rule as you move, so move your target 2-3 boards for each 5 board move. The goal is as you move to get your breakpoint about the same as when you started (if you had a good look). the 2:1 should allow your ball to get through more oil (not hook so early) and will still lead to you opening your shoulders a bit more.
Brilliant video. I’ve been bowling my whole life. 15 years bowling regionals and a lot of great info packed in this short video.
Omg.. the finger positioning tips are everything i didn't know I needed to know!

I seen many videos on bowling tips but this one is the best. Finger placement works for me.
This video was extremely educational. I’m sharing it with friends!
Great info, I will try them tomorrow. I know these hand positions just don't use them much. I've got to start no time better than tomorrow.
Benjy, keep the videos coming! They have helped me immensely.

Excellent video! Thanks!
Great information, new to bowling seriously. These tips will help to get more consistent throws and higher scores
Great instructions and information.
I want to know everything about the loft technique.
Great info and topic!
Good explanations. Subbed!
great knowledge, thx
Great video
That's for the tips..
Do these finger positions also work if your two handed?
That’s a question I have too, I’ve been struggling to fine tune my rotation as a two hander.
Would like to see some aiming techniques
This is helpful!

What about the weight if the ball?
Project the ball. Launch is for rockets and middles.
