    Not sure if you ever got your 6R issues fixed but lately I have been able to pair a 6R80 to a BMW M57 diesel engine for a customer in Canada. He made his own adapter plate in his 2011 f150 3.5 EB 4x4. He removed the original engine used a BMW standalone ECU kept the original trans and PCM and I was able to adapt a calibration to operate the transmission alone Via very few sensors. Like Pedal, Crank Signal (RPM), coolant temp, and t-map sensors. The truck has bee a daily driver since December and I was able to get it to operate as if it came with the truck. If you need similar support you can message me any time.

    Could you diagnose a issue I'm having with my built 6r80 has park and reverse when you try to go to first it goes to 5th and 6th no 1-4 has new lead Frame still has problem

    So could this be the reason why my 2016 Ford F-150 is shifting rough from 3rd to 4th gear?

    Hey man you really know your stuff to build a circuit board like that I have a 2011 Ford f150 it won't go over 65 would you suggest replacing the shift solenoids or replacing the whole valve body assembly

      @olboy1981  Рік тому

      Might be easier to do the valve body with new solenoids. Just do it once... 50/50 shot you guess the right part the first time.

    Can I change out a solenoid a long as it’s the same number

  • @Eric-lj8sw

    Do these solenoids rely on pilot pressure from the hydraulic fluid to drive them back and forth? I am testing linear solenoid valves on the car with the pan off, using a TECH2 to turn the solenoids on and off. They aren't really moving, though the resistance is correct. Is that typical or is there varnish preventing them from moving?
    Nice use of a Teensy BTW!! We use them in our Tympan Open Source Hearing Aid platform

      Another way to put it... Are you seeing the solenoid move on the bench, or just hearing them buzz? I like your idea of pulsing the current. That's built into a lot of pneumatic on/off solenoid driving circuits.

    • @olboy1981
      @olboy1981  3 роки тому

      @@Eric-lj8sw i could not see the pintel move when I sent current through them. Just the buzzing(pwm) or clicking(on/off) when driving. I'd like to rig up a way to run trans fluid through them to see the change in flow at different pwm values.

      @@olboy1981 thanks, that's helpful. I was about to diagnose the solenoid as bad, but really it needs pressure to move.

    Now to find a 2011 Ford Truck and drive around with a scanner to get the factory reading to input into code.

    Hey just curious is there any actual difference between all the solenoids for the shifts? I'm not trying to do any swaps I just wanna fix my transmisson

      Yes there is. 2 are normally open and 2 are normally closed. I think A and C are NO type.

      Sick! Are you using dx gears? I’m trying to do something similar on another zf6 speed. Or did you write your own setup? Also my tcm uses a 8 ish volt power system for some reason. Did you set yours up to use 14v?
