@@KamsPoliticalPredictions “The most unnerving thing about playing Miami is Zach Thomas calling out all of your plays,” Manning said. “He caused the most problems for me of any player I ever faced.” - Peyton Manning HOF QB "Zach Thomas ranks as one of my favorite players of all time. Having coached 10 Hall of Fame players in my career, I believe Zach deserves to be in that group. Zach was a coach's dream as a leader and a player. I never had any player that prepared himself as well as Zach. He belongs in the Hall." - Jimmy Johnson HOF Coach "Everything about Zach said Hall of Fame. His statistics, how he played, the winning defenses he led, the Pro Bowls and his knowledge of the game all jump out at you. He was not only certain to be in the right spot and get to the ball, but he would get everyone else lined up before the snap. He was the quarterback of that defense and he made his teammates better. - Dan Marino HOF QB "Zach was one of those pure football guys that I really admire. There aren't very many players who were as tough, productive and consistent." - Bill Belichick "I first met Zach as a friend. Then I met the warrior. Year after year, Zach showed to the world how to play the middle linebacker position. He wasn't the biggest or fastest, but his instincts, passion and knowledge of the game always impressed me. Sideline to sideline, there are not many linebackers that I have ever seen better than Zach." - Ray Lewis HOF MLB
@Kameron's Political Predictions Center You can't give it a number. Zach was everywhere on the field. He was not very big, nor was he very fast, but his reads were instant and his angles were flawless. He was making contact in the backfield before closer, faster players could get there. He was literally a missile on every play. This selection is way overdue.
@@KamsPoliticalPredictions ... I don't know if I could put a number on it, but one thing I maintain to this day, Zach is one of the most CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED great LBs in NFL history. He never truly got the respect he deserved, and was always overshadowed by Ray Lewis and Brian Urlacher (for my money, just my opinion, Zach was better than Urlacher ... if not, at least just as good). For a guy that was drafted 154th overall in the 5th round of the 96 draft, and was basically just drafted to be nothing more than a special teams player ... to be a 7x Pro Bowler, 7x 1st or 2nd Team All-Pro, 2x LB of the Year, AFC Defensive ROTY, put up more than respectable numbers for a full decade at least, and be selected to the 2000s All Decade Team ... I think he did pretty well for himself. And if you look up what Zach Thomas did (and even his teammate Jason Taylor, who got in the HOF in 2017) during a time where for a number of years the Dolphins were at their ABSOLUTE WORST ... ZT and JT CARRIED this team. After Dan Marino retired in 1999 ... the Dolphins franchise basically did a full-transition from an offensive team to a defensive team, and ZT and JT were basically the flag-bearers of the Dolphins after Marino retired. There were other great players on those early 2000s Miami Defenses with ZT and JT ... like Sam Madison, Patrick Surtain, Brock Marion, Tim Bowens, Daryl Gardner, Trace Armstrong ... but no one remembers them because they didn't win anything, because the Miami offenses they were paired with were either "one dimensional" (Ricky Williams 02-03), or were so bad. And as those defenses began to break apart year by year (Tim Bowens retired ... Brock Marion released ... Sam Madison signed with the Giants ... Patrick Surtain traded to KC) ... ZT and JT stayed and remained. The two "constants" on the Dolphins defense (and the Miami Dolphins team in general) for a number of (bad & down) years were Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor. Watching those two play, how they played, how they always played hard, and never cheated themselves or the Phin fans, regardless of how good or overwhelmingly bad or disappointing the Phins were ... made me proud to be a Phins fan. I've always said: - Dan Marino made me "A FAN" of the Miami Dolphins. - Jason Taylor and especially Zach Thomas made me LOVE the Miami Dolphins. Thats why Phin fans were so passionate and emotional with ZT's selection here. Not only have we stated that he belongs in the hall, but so many of his teammates, contemporaries, and rivals stated it as well ... from Peyton Manning, Jimmy Johnson in his HOF speech, Ray Lewis, Brian Urlacher called the voters a bunch of dumbasses for not putting him in ... among so many others. My personal favorite was former NY Jet C Kevin Mawae shouting him out in his HOF speech back in 2019. I remember those Jets/Phins games very well, and Mawae and ZT would not only BLOODY each other ... they would try to outsmart each other since they both knew what the other would do before they even did it. Look up what Kevin said about Zach , and it tells you all you need to know about Zach. I can't wait to go to Canton to see Zach enshrined ... I was there for Marino in 2005, and Jason Taylor in 2017, and I will surely be there for Zach Thomas. He was an OUTSTANDING LB for us ... and if the Dolphins today had a player that was even 1/8th the player and leader Zach Thomas was, they would be MILES better.
@@Leader-fq1dq Gastineau at his peak was a better player than Klecko, but his peak only lasted about three years, after that Gastineau lost a couple steps and battled injuries. Klecko was more durable and had more sustained success. Klecko also was more versatile than Gastineau.

Zach Thomas was an absolute monster when he played. A complete pro who never made excuses, never got arrested or caused any distractions for the team etc. Just went out and played the game at the highest level and gave it 100%. Its a crime that he had to wait this long to be enshrined but I'm glad he's finally in.
Glad to see Joe Thomas get in. He could have played anywhere and demanded huge money but he just quietly did his job for his team and earned the entire Leagues respect.

Klecko is the only player in NFL history that made the pro bowl at 3 different positions. He's the most deserving player in this entire class and had to wait 35 years for the honor. Maybe you're too young to remember him and if you are, you owe it to yourself as a Jets fan to look him up.

Seeing Chuck Howley, part of the original Doomsday Defense, SBV MVP( the only MVP on a losing team), and one heck of a guy getting told by his teammate Roger Staubach he’s in the Hall of Fame is just great. Congratulations to all HOF 2023!
I honestly thought he was already in.
I'm so glad he was chosen! #54 was a childhood hero!
Wow. Cool fact. Need Roger Craig up in there
He had like 15 tackles, a fumble recovery and 2 INTs in which he ran one back for a TD, in that Super Bowl. The team lost but that's why he was Super Bowl MVP. This may not be exact but it's close.
Howley a legend
As a Cowboys fan see Ware get in feels amazing. As a football fan to see Zach Thomas and Klecko finally get chosen makes a grown man tear up
cried seeing ware get in
Cowboys fan and no mention of Howley??
Andre Rison should be in if he is getting in!
I loved watching Klecko play. He was what many fans considered a blue collar player. And seeing Ware get the nod was awesome!
Woody keeps getting snubbed, without question top 5 safeties of all time!
I balled my eyes out when Zach got his call. I cried in absolute joy. This was LOOOOOONG overdue for Zach. He busted his ass for the Dolphins and us Phin fans during a lot of "down years", and he never complained and never cheated us. An all-time great LB ... a classic "underdog" story ... and now one of the greatest Phins of all-time! I cant wait to go to Canton for his induction!
For someone who doesn't know every thing about football pre 2010s, on a scale of 1 to 10, how good was Zach Thomas's career?
@@KamsPoliticalPredictions “The most unnerving thing about playing Miami is Zach Thomas calling out all of your plays,” Manning said. “He caused the most problems for me of any player I ever faced.”
- Peyton Manning HOF QB
"Zach Thomas ranks as one of my favorite players of all time. Having coached 10 Hall of Fame players in my career, I believe Zach deserves to be in that group. Zach was a coach's dream as a leader and a player. I never had any player that prepared himself as well as Zach. He belongs in the Hall."
- Jimmy Johnson HOF Coach
"Everything about Zach said Hall of Fame. His statistics, how he played, the winning defenses he led, the Pro Bowls and his knowledge of the game all jump out at you. He was not only certain to be in the right spot and get to the ball, but he would get everyone else lined up before the snap. He was the quarterback of that defense and he made his teammates better.
- Dan Marino HOF QB
"Zach was one of those pure football guys that I really admire. There aren't very many players who were as tough, productive and consistent."
- Bill Belichick
"I first met Zach as a friend. Then I met the warrior. Year after year, Zach showed to the world how to play the middle linebacker position. He wasn't the biggest or fastest, but his instincts, passion and knowledge of the game always impressed me. Sideline to sideline, there are not many linebackers that I have ever seen better than Zach."
- Ray Lewis HOF MLB
I've always said:
- Dan Marino made me "A FAN" of the Miami Dolphins.
@@KamsPoliticalPredictions Think Prime Luke Kuechley with less speed & more physicality.
Klecko’s reaction
So awesome
Is his Team mate mark Gastineau in?
@@Leader-fq1dq Gastineau at his peak was a better player than Klecko, but his peak only lasted about three years, after that Gastineau lost a couple steps and battled injuries. Klecko was more durable and had more sustained success. Klecko also was more versatile than Gastineau.
@@ryanjacobson2508 Gastineau was never better than Klecko. Klecko was double teamed on practically every play, while Gastineau always got the 1v1 match up.

Long overdue! Guy was a beast on the D-line.
Raider fan here but I always wanted Zach to a Raider because his of his tenacity, toughness a true legend.
I’m a grown man….stuff like this and the Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony always make me cry. 😢
Me too, man. Me too. Aside from the usual, two sports things make me cry. This, and when a home crowd gives a standing ovation to a visiting player or team for tragedy or accomplishment.
Zach Thomas
FINALLY!!
#FinsUp
FYI. Agreed! It´s about time, Zach in Canton, Ohio.
Finally zach thomas gets in. One of the greatest LBs i ever had the privilege of watching
Amen. Sure right about that. One of the greatest ever and HIGHLY underrated in his era.
I’m surprised it took this long I mean the stats speak for themselves

I could never get over seeing Zach Thomas passed over every year. So excited to see everyone feel the same way.
The wrong people vote for the Hall of Fame in all sports
Thomas doesn’t know anything about being passed over a lot. Randy Gradishar of the broncos was one of the best ever and retired in the mid 80s and still has yet to make it despite having a better career than Thomas.

If you pause the video at 2:55 and pay attention to the older gentlemen in the back, he couldn’t contain his excitement and happiness for Zach, very wholesome, they know how hard he’s worked. Well deserved and a joy to watch.
As a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan, I'm thrilled to see Joe Thomas get in. He stuck with us when he didn't have to, and honestly, most others wouldn't have. Thanks for everything, Joe. You deserve this!
He went through some very thin days.
And to boot he had Walter Jones bring him the good news
Joe Who was not even born in Ohio Is more loyal to Ohio then Akron's own L.James
I’m a Panthers fan but I went to see a Browns game against San Diego on Christmas Eve. Ive always known Joe Thomas was a beast but I was astonished that he, an Olineman, got the loudest applause from the crowd. It was awesome and spoke to not only his greatness but to the hardworking blue collar people of Ohio.
As a Steelers fan I thank Joe for always playing his heart out and I even as a Steelers fan loved watching him play. Definitely one of the best offensive linemen to do it! Thank you Joe! Welcome to Canton brother!
One of my all time favorites! and...I am a Pats fans. Zach was a total beast & a class act always.I could not agree with you more.
Agree 100 percent
Seeing Coach Johnson present Zach with the award was my favorite one. The coach and player relationship that they have made it so much more special.
One of the most feared MLB's of our era
Glad to see Joe Thomas get in. He could have played anywhere and demanded huge money but he just quietly did his job for his team and earned the entire Leagues respect.
So happy to see Zach Thomas make the hall. One of my favorite players ever.
No doubt... right on time too...
FYI. Agreed! It´s about time, Zach in Canton, Ohio.
#54, Zach Thomas… Sooo long overdue. I can’t think of a more electrifying MLB I’ve watched in my lifetime. All around play maker at MLB and a wise general of the Defense on the field. He knew where the ball was going almost every time it seemed and was there to drop the hammer. I miss watching his play.
I saw him blow up a running play his rookie year.. he got a TFL and almost got a safety ( I had season tickets in the south end zone) .. from that moment on, I knew I was watching history... CONGRATS 👏 ZACH
Klecko was even more overdue
Agreed, even his final year in Dallas. He was great.
@@michaelmoorhead762 Hell yeah! Like how Drew Brees remembers his play “That dude was like a rolling ball of butcher knives. Here he is, this undersized middle linebacker, and yet he would make every tackle. And when he’d hit you, he hit you so damn hard.”.

Tears came to my eyes seeing Zach’s reaction. But it also made me think about my grandma, who was a big fan of the Miami Dolphins! She loved Zach Thomas and she would’ve been so happy to see this moment.
It was great moment. Emotional. Your Grandma had good taste. She clearly knew talent.

Curious that you're a Jets fan, and mention Zach Thomas, a Dolphin and certainly deserving of a spot in the HOF, but not Joe Klecko. Klecko is the only player in NFL history that made the pro bowl at 3 different positions. He's the most deserving player in this entire class and had to wait 35 years for the honor. Maybe you're too young to remember him and if you are, you owe it to yourself as a Jets fan to look him up.
Pretty sure revis was a first ballot.
@@PipleZiple of course, I’m still happy either way

Zach Thomas got what he's always deserved for a long time. That was a truly heartfelt moment between coach Jimmie and Zach, and we could all feel that.
