    Fredericton is the capital of New Brunswick in eastern Canada, on the St. John River. It’s known for its Historic Garrison District, an 18th-century British army base now home to a Changing of the Guard ceremony, artists’ studios and an outdoor theatre. The Beaverbrook Art Gallery’s Canadian and international collections are nearby. Just south, Fredericton Boyce Farmers Market sells seasonal produce and crafts.

    i am thinking about buying around the Fredericton area. Say 15 to 20 minutes out of town. Id there alot of bugs in the summer time 15 to 20 minutes out of town or do you have to go a bit farther to get the bugs? Or do you think its better go to Moncton? Thanks for your help in advance:)

    • @rps1689
      @rps1689 2 роки тому +1

      You don't have to worry about bugs too much, They overspray here like crazy with pesticides and herbicides. One of the eeriest things I noticed when coming here, was the lack of birds and flocks of birds. Keep in mind most of NB is a tree farm and they also spray to kill hardwoods.
      Moncton is bigger and has more services and better access to primary health care. Fredericton is the worst in the province for access to primary access to healthcare, but keep mind the whole province doesn't rate well for access to primary healthcare.
      20 minutes outside of Fredericton would be in the middle on nowhere; Fredericton is pretty much isolated itself.

    • @mikearchibald744
      @mikearchibald744 Рік тому

      I grew up by moncton, it depends what you like, but I agree, the province is messed up regarding spraying. Thats not to say there aren't any bugs, I live rural outside MOncton, there are definitely times you don't go outside.
      If you are outside of town that far then thats rural, so you shoudl WANT bugs. Bugs mean wildlife. I live outside Moncton now and there are pros and cons of both. I think Moncton is much more multicultural now, which I like. Finally have really great international stores like I took for granted in Ontario.
      But as said, this province is noted for its pretty shitty governments. Its the poorest province despite having the most public resources per capita. Healthcare is bad everywhere of course. Oromocto is 15 minutes outside, and its a nice enough little town, I grew up there and don't want to live there, but I can recognize that its nice enough. The oromocto river is probably even nicer than the saint john and it links up to it. Gagetown is a little further but a super nice community. But while the people from teh cities always bitch about the other cities, almost nobody has anything bad to say about Sussex. Its a fair sized towna bout halfway between all three major cities with tons of trails.
      I know a guy who has a trans canada business and he settled in wirral, a hick town in the middle of nowhere. If you like the middle of nowhere, there are lots of places like that here.

    I can see and watch a lot of people saying that Living over there is not good at all because of discriminations for people with colours especially if you are black you’ll ended up crying and no one will do anything about it to help wow

    • @rps1689
      @rps1689 2 роки тому

      Profiling is rampant here not only for folk of colour, but people from other provinces especially the "have provinces".

    • @mikearchibald744
      @mikearchibald744 Рік тому +1

      @@rps1689 I wouldn't say 'discrimination', particularly now because most places really need workers. But this was an underdeveloped province with not a whole lot of immigration til recently. Thats always a shock to some people, but I know some immigrants that have never seen any kind of problems, but sadly also other that do have racist encounters, but thats not 'discrimination'.
      When I was young the police in fredericton used to regularly harass minority students at the college, I think that goes on a lot less now that there is social media and people who will document it and publicize it. I always encourage people to document it as much as possible.
