Jesus gave His body for the life of the world.By His stripes we are healed (striped body).The blood was for forgiveness of sins and protection.Any person who didn’t apply the blood suffered the consequence (death)We overcome the evil one by the blood of the lamb Rev 12:11. It is not by the stripes( wounds) of the Church we are healed but by His wounds only.Salvation is found in no one else for there is no other name under heaven given to man by which we must be saved Acts 4:12.The only body that was broken was Jesus.
The bread represents Jesus broken body, which was broken for our healing, the drink represents Jesus shed blood for the forgiveness of our sins. This is what Paul was referring to in Corinthians. Mark 14:22-25 22While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take it; this is my body." 23Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, and they all drank from it. 24"This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many," he said to them. 25"Truly I tell you, I will not drink again from the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God." 1 Corinthians 23-26 23 For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, “This is my body, which is for[b] you. The only body that was broken was Jesus body.The Church was never broken..The Lords Supper was the fulfillment of the Passover Supper.For Christ our Passover Lamb has been sacrificed 1Cor.5:7.The Passover was a sacrificial Supper where the Israeli eat of the lamb and partook of the sacrifice by eating of the lamb.We partake of Lord body at His Supper 1 Cor10:16-18..The bread we break is a sharing in body of Christ and the Passover cup is a sharing in the blood of Christ.Yes the church was never broken,100% about Jesus finished work on Calvary

Duane's exegesis is acceptable but I think discerning the Lord's body is to acknowledge that the His broken body on the cross took away all our infirmities and this is the basis for our healing so that we are not weak, sick and die prematurely.
