I have listened to this about 50 times now! Love it. I have 2 questions: 1. Did the Old Testament Jews bring sacrificial lambs for sickness or just sins? 2. If God knew He would raise Jesus from the dead is it truly sacrificing His son? I would never sacrifice my children for anyone else. But, if I knew I would get them back in a few days that is a different thing all together.
Not sure about the OT sacrifices as far as healing.. as Jesus wasn’t born during those days, but I’d say (my opinion only) that yes, they were. The Jews had to be cleansed once a year by the Priest, so they brought a blemish free lamb to the Priest for the upcoming year for their family. On the cross, Jesus Christ became “the” Sacrificial Lamb, once and for all. God knows ALL things. He spoke the world in existence in 6 days. He created man and woman last, then on the 7th day, He rested, not because he was tired, but because He was finished with creation. Sure Got knew that Jesus would be raised again.. but that has nothing to do with it. A Sacrificial Lamb, once and forever, had to be made for Jews and Gentiles alike, wherein salvation could come. But one must accept Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on Calvary on their behalf to receive eternal salvation. I hope this helps. God bless you
