Very nice....love the dubby chord sounds.....very smooth sounding, and there's a drum hit moving around in the mix i couldnt possibly explain but its awesome. Great stuff as always 🍻👍
@@GavinVickery @mauriziofaggion haha! I feel very flattered (Hope it was a jam you were happy with ;) ) I was just talking to someone the other day about how, even though electronic music sometimes get characterized as being faceless, you can really hear someone's 'fingerprint' in their work... I think we'd all be quite successful at a kind of 'invisible jukebox' test guessing who did which jam!
@@yassokiibawell glitchy beats are pretty much my goal in life so … 😂 haha Non but seriously I think I’ll order it soon. Furthermore It’s not that expensive !
Haha! No idea! It's made by sending both an 8-beat loop and a triangle wave (looping in 3/3 time) to a comparator module, which then outputs beats based on the relationship between the loop and triangle wave. (I also programmed a slight change to the way the measurements were made every 4 beats, to try to create a 4/4 feel - when I was jamming I was nodding along to an imagined (implied?) 4/4 kick underpinning the whole thing.
@@yassokiiba I had to try every time-counting options I could think of while re-listening to it... the only way I could make sense of it was by interpreting the two consecutive snare/rimshot accents as the 5th and 6th time of a 6 and a half/4 bar (or, more elegantly, the 10th and 12th beats of a 13/8 bar)... i'll have to play along to it on the drums tomorrow to test if that actually works! 😅😅 I'd love to know a bit more about how those modules work to understand how you can create those "irrational"-sounding types of beats!
@@urbulibaba It's so interesting to read your take on these beats as a drummer. If you do try playing along I'll be really interested to hear what you find! The module at the centre of all the beats here is this one: joranalogue.com/products/compare-2 Someone made a good guide to how to use it here: cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1594/2421/files/Compare_2_Practical_User_Guide_v1.5_300_dpi.pdf?v=1663597287 I'm not sure if that will make sense to you, but I used the comparator and logic outputs of the module to generate the beats in this track.

Thanks so much!!! So happy to read that you liked it :)
You know what...we should create a term like.."Yasso style", your tracks are very recognisable!
Ha ha I’ve totally said this to a buddy I jam with. “Like yasso…”

Thanks so much, man!!!! :)
delightful as always 🤩 , this piques my interest towards that "compare 2" module...
but anyway, the beat is fire, and the sounds too !! great work 💥
Yeah, Compare 2 is incredible. Very versatile, although I pretty much just use it for glitchy beats

@@bertrandvanasch Yeah, it's quite cheap. And I think lends itself to creative patching.
Love this, such a nice tone you get well done 👍👍👍

Thanks so much for listening :)
always top-notch! Super duper groove! is that... a 13/8 time signature, or am I just too tired and over-analyzing? 😅
