First Wisconsin Ride on The Near North Trail

- After owning my Raptor for nearly a year I finally made it over to Wisconsin for my first trail ride. I got linked up with Jon through a Facebook group this spring and he was kind enough to show me this Near North Trail loop he had discovered. I felt spoiled being able to floor it pretty much whenever I wanted. The groomed trail made for extra smooth and fast conditions. I'm looking forward to riding it again someday.

@@JBRAAPY there’s a lot of high speed trails in northern Minnesota and Wisconsin. It’s funny how you want to go faster and I want to ride the techy sand trails in Michigan 😆🤘
There's some trails by me (Wisconsin, near Winona MN), that are a blast to ride. Somewhat technical, steep hill climbs, single lane, great day. Going back September 14-15. Great trail for sport quads

I liked the addition of you starting and loading the Raptor at the beginning of the video. Also couldn't help noticing when you decided not to turn the rear facing camera on because you'd be doing wheelies down the road lol. @@stevenguzman4591 I only rode with Jon from this video once and that was on this “near north trail” the other rider on a blue raptor that’s been in my videos is Joe Goettl and he has a channel with some great riding content. He used to live in the same town as me but moved to Utah a couple years ago

Come over to Midwest USA we have best ORV riding paths/ state parks! Forget coastal USA. Midwest has great jobs/lower cost of living & everyone has ATVs & dirtbikes / snowmobiles or side by side UTVs.

Nice video ! Do you happen to know the rim and tire set size(s) on the blue 700 ? Looks like a 22/23 setup I’m considering . If so how does he like them ? I need some additional clearance but don’t want to compromise the quads stability .

ononewheel7 I have thought about taking my 2nd hero and putting it on a friend. I want to get a 2nd helmet so I could give a motovlog helmet to friends. I have all the stuff I need except the 2nd helmet lol
@@PeteHager Try this! It's a mount that just clamps really tight onto the bottom of a helmet, so you can easily switch between helmets or toss it to a friend. I have found that on the older Fox V1 helmet it doesn't really work but I havent had any trouble other than that. If you plan on giving it to a buddy for the whole day, you could just zip tie it on to be safe, that's what I do when I use it on the jet ski. Here's the link.

I’m getting a 2006 crf250 soon. Never rode clutch before I’m exited to say the least
Jordan Coard I just got a 2017 kx450f, trust me bikes live up to the hype, just remember one thing you need to be careful about, remember this, bikes are all speed no brakes, the second you tap the front brake and you’re going to fast, that bike is sliding from under you and you’re going to fall, try to use the back brake and use engine braking, when using the back brake remember to pull in the clutch so the bike doesn’t stall, but you’ll get the hang of it, don’t try to be crazy, it’s going to take some time before you can really ride hard, but enjoy your bike, you won’t regret getting one, be safe man.
Jordan Coard yeah its very easy to ride clutch after you get used to it, it’s almost natural for me

Dare yourself to even put one of the 4 wheels onto the woods and the Hunter is gonna stop you right at where you try too unload the machines. with the police gonna chase after you .. Gawd Damn ! I have 2 GoPro Hero 7's. The bumper cam footage tends to get a little pixelated from vibration but the helmet cam always turns out very smooth. When the Hero 7 came out I knew it would work great for this type of capture

Lol I primarily always follow because I personally find helmet cam much more entertaining with a rider in front and the extra exhaust note. This is definitely a fun trail system 👍

Pete i was wondering the whole video where is the key for your four wheeler because i have a 700r and the key is right on the bars but i dont see one on yours
Hey Gunnar, I have the key relocated right on the left fender in a similar position to the reverse switch but opposite side. You can see me turn it on 38 seconds into the video 👍
Thinking about getting a yamaha sport quad in the next few months, but have no idea of which one to get. I realized the yfz is better on the track but the 700 is better for trails. I think the 700 flips more easily but would love to know if you could just reply and answer my few questions

Thanks for watching my videos! This was on the "near north trail" near Athelstane Wisconsin. The Appleton videos were filmed near Appleton in west central MN. A lot of people tend to think it's Appleton Wisconsin.

Come up to Chisholm area we got giant hiss and lots of good trails and if into it we got a couple tracks. Some of the jumps I won't even hit. Like a 40 foot double
