Thansk for posting this. I know I requested this some time ago. Now I can really smell the licorice/artemisia aspect of the Kouros. Never really noticed that before. Very lovely smell.
I love men's Perry Ellis (that takes me back) and used to wear it along with Fendi which I loved. Maybe I should try more than just Opium. Ha! Another great video!
Actually, this was Fendi for women and it was back in the late 80s that I used to wear it and then I basically got hooked on wearing opium for women and have since only been wearing that but really loved Perry Ellis and Fendi back in the day
Don't worry, they are reciprocal. If France puts 200% tariffs on Ralph Lauren, we put 200% on Dior, but this doesn't happen. A $60,000 corvette made by US taxpayers costs $160K in Europe, like a supercar because Germany protects is workers. Meanwhile, Europe exports supercars to the super rich in America all day and we barely charge them anything cause our politicians have special agreements. So basically our neighbors and fellow taxpayers lose (less money for public healthcare and assistance), politicians get even richer and rich people have more toys for cheap. You'll be fine with your fragrance purchases. Having said that, I just picked up some Firmenich Cuir Base 184028 because I heard Trump mention it in a speech, so I panic bought just to be safe.
Ryan. I have a question. Do you use a single pipette for putting in materials? If so do you wash it with ethanol every time a material goes in? Please explain I am confused. I am planning on using pipettes, till now I've been working without them.
Thank you again for a wonderfull vid about an epic frag. I hope you can do a vid about Chanel Egoiste. It's such an amazing Jacques Polge masterpiece. So complex, timeless and attractive. Greetz from the Netherlands.
Most of my bottles are from Stockmetic. I have a handheld crimper I got from Perfumers Apprentice. You can find other bottle crimpers at BottleCrimpTools.com
Yesss! Such a legendary, yet biasing fragrance. Thanks! BTW, Ryan, what's your music setup? I saw some synths and studio monitors (yamaha?). Asking since I'm a musician, too. Cheers!
Have to try this I remember when this came out. Ryan what is your take on Cetalox? A different version of ambroxan have you ever used as I'm wondering is it as good is it better?
I prefer Ambroxan made by Kao. They are all very similar, and I don't yet have hours and hours of experience with the ambroxide materials as a family to really distinguish all of the nuances between them. But for some reason, I gravitate to Ambroxan rather than Ambrox Super, Cetalox, etc.
I have a free formula for Davidoff Cool Water out of 1000 parts 200 parts are Dihydromyceranol , Bergamot is 140 and Lemoral is 100 what is lemoral and how can I substitute it and even 2.5 parts of (Menthe Chine) is it peppermint?? any substitute?
Hi dear , i been watching your library material with blue light ! Are you sure those are not affecting photosynthesis your chlorophyll green content materials ?!
I would, but perhaps ten years down the road. Learning perfumery is hard (and time-consuming) enough. I'm not sure I want to add chemistry experimentation to my to-do list. 🤣
Hi Ryan I like to dupe a cologne called brut 33, is it possible just to use essential oils and perfumers alcohol bought from Amazon Here’s what I found online. I know the 30/50/20 rule but I don’t know how many drops of each oil to use. If you can help me make this. Top notes are anise, basil, bergamot, lavender and lemon; middle notes are geranium, jasmine and ylang-ylang; base notes are oakmoss, patchouli, sandalwood, tonka bean, vanilla and vetiver.
Skin type and body chemistry is real. I don’t fully understand it. I can’t wear certain fragrances (Invictus Aqua, Terra d’Hermes Eau Tre Fraiche) because something in them smells like rotten egg on my skin. Bleu de Chanel smells good on me, except when I’m on a carnivore diet. PDM Kalan smells terrible on me, except when I’m on a carnivore diet. It’s all very weird, and fascinating!

Love the little story about your dad! I think it's really sweat you have a formula you can smell to remember him
Sweet*
Sweat is Kouros

Great 👍
Buying as much as I can now before the tariffs kick in.

Hey Ryan, you've got yourself a new fan. I am learning a lot from your channel. Can you please do a formula for Chrome Azzaro and Ck One?
I will look for some formulas for those :-)

Sorry I just rewatched this vid and you say that you always use a new pipette😂
Very fine

Hi Ryan thanks for all videos you do for us, can you where do you get your perfume bottles (for finished perfumes) and the crimping machine from?
Most of my bottles are from Stockmetic. I have a handheld crimper I got from Perfumers Apprentice. You can find other bottle crimpers at BottleCrimpTools.com
Im actually looking for this fomula from CF…. :))
Yesss! Such a legendary, yet biasing fragrance. Thanks!

I will do a perfume setup tour someday soon. You'll see my synth setup as well :-)

I have Lemoral replaced with Limonene Aldehyde (Limonenal/Limoxal - CAS: 6784-13-0)
Hi dear , i been watching your library material with blue light ! Are you sure those are not affecting photosynthesis your chlorophyll green content materials ?!
So far, the blue/green light hasn't affected the smell of the juice. We'll see. 😁
Ryan, would you be interested in making schiff bases by yourself? So many to discover since there are tons of different aldehydes
I would, but perhaps ten years down the road. Learning perfumery is hard (and time-consuming) enough. I'm not sure I want to add chemistry experimentation to my to-do list. 🤣
@RyanParfums well, good for you, schiff bases take time to form, we'll wait patiently 😊

I'm sorry, but it's impossible for me to recreate a fragrance using only a note breakdown. 🙃
Hi Ryan , i need an alternative to ethanol/perfumeralcohol
I need something ethanol free
For final solvent
What do you suggest?
Alas, I am not the guy to ask about this. 😣 What you use will depend on your target application.
is skin type a real thing and factor? ive heard its only true for animalics

@@RyanParfums thx for the reply i value ur opinion on this especially.
Is tonalide fixolide?
@@fastrunlogistics3560 yes
Yes, they're close enough for perfumery :-)
1st😂😂
