In a surprise to many... Kanye West brought his Sunday Service to Baton Rouge, La. The Event took place at Bethany Church under the its' Three Huge crosses that can been Seen from the Highway and surrounding streets. Unsurprisingly there was a large crowd in attendance. The service was open to the public, therefore the crowd was very mixed and diverse and all attendance witness a performance like no other. Everyone at the end had the same sentiment... The event was great and something that had to be experienced and understood. Regardless of Mr. West's political views and certain public statement... This is one of his greatest creations and should be witness by all.

I started drinking when I was 16. I would drink at parties, but I also started drinking alone because I was unhappy, and I was in a lot of emotional pain all the time. My mom was very aggressive when I was younger, and my brother hated her and so did I. He started hanging out with shady people, he started failing all his classes, he was never home, and my parents fought all the time. I also ran away several times. I was always trying to figure out a reason as to why I was here or what the purpose of life was. So, I started looking at different philosophies, religions, and beliefs. When I was 18 after I was hungover, I got on my knees and I prayed for the first time. I asked if God was real that he would show me he was real because I couldn’t take it anymore. I was crying when I prayed for this. At that moment I felt a presence come over me like a wind. It was barely noticeable, but it was unlike anything in my life I had experienced up until that point. I was surprised when I felt it and I remember saying “what was that?” after that experience I pretty much forgot what happened and kept partying, until my senior year when I got arrested. After my arrest, my parents lost all their trust in me and I was expelled from high school. I was told never to come back. At that time, I felt afraid and hopeless. That’s when I started looking for God, and I prayed that he would reveal himself in my life and that he would give me signs. My prayers began getting answered so consistently that I couldn’t deny that God was doing something. It was mysterious and compelling. I ended up in Church and started reading the bible hours a day. I stopped hanging out with all my other friends because they were continually getting arrested. I was able to forgive my family and myself and to ask to be forgiven. I noticed how at Church people were judgmental and how they formed cliques but were afraid to be around anyone else different from them. It increased my faith because I realized Jesus was not like that and ever since I was young, I saw people as people regardless of who they were. After a while, it’s like I could see God's presence was in my life and then it felt like he wasn’t, and then he was, and then he wasn’t. One day I woke up and felt more depressed than I ever have in my entire life. I felt like I was dying on the inside. That night I prayed, and I said, God, I don’t see my life five years from now I'm going to die Jesus save me Lord, please save me. I was weeping when I said it and when I asked him to save me, I felt a presence inside of me like a heartbeat, and I felt it once like a pulse, and I said Lord please save me and I felt it again even stronger. It was like radiance. When I woke up the next morning, I had transformed everything felt brand new like I was a kid again. All my fears and all my racing thoughts everything was gone. I looked at my hands, and I said this can’t be real it’s impossible. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I saw a different person. I started praying, and the holy spirit became entirely real to me it was washing over me and inside of me. It was total love and peace, and I heard a voice but not an audible one, it was an inner voice. It said I am with you; I love you, I will never leave you, it’s done it’s finished. That was May 3rd, 2009, and ever since then I’ve followed God, I have seen many things change and many things I know wouldn’t have changed without faith and belief. I know what it’s like to be lost to feel you have no hope. Don’t ever think you’re stuck, or life can’t change because it can. My mom is a Christian now, Its night and day. Some of the things that went away during that period were severe anxiety and my addiction to alcohol. I’ve seen and experienced so many things that are miraculous and seen how God has worked in my life. When we ask God to forgive us for what we’ve done and turn away from our sins and wrongdoings and we believe in Christ's sacrifice everything changes. His word says if we confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that he died and rose again we will have eternal life but not just life after death but abundant life in the present. Our sins are erased not only past, present, and future but our burdens and fears are lifted also. Our thoughts, our minds, our hearts, our souls are transformed and united with God and we know his spirit lives in us. If you seek, pray, and knock you will know JESUS IS KING!!!

Amen bro. I also wish somebody will read this. I am a Jamaican but I was raised in New York. MY Dad lives in jamaica but my mother and brother and I in New York. I have visited my Dad before and I decided to come back to America because I didn't know better. Also if i hadn't then I wouldn't have learned to survive through life's obstacles. I'm not saying that I'm a professional at survival but the ghetto of America teaches you things that other places won't. I believed in god since I was a little boy. As far back as I can remember i knew god loved me since I was 4. And that's also the age my mom became a seventh day Adventist and me too. I got baptized at the age of 7 and then after that by the time I reached 9 or so my life went downhill. I was around my older brother and he was a terrible example for me. Although I didn't look up to him that much but subconsciously as a youngin you just follow whoever's around you. Thank God I'm not in jail or dead but my brother smelt like weed, alcohol, and even cigarettes sometimes and cursed at me, hit me, and abused me in ways i did not deserve at all. And I dealt with this for a long time. I tried calling my dad and telling him but he was too busy. I texted it to him and he was shocked but did nothing. That's not the point of the story. Anyway, I went on my own little journey in the ghetto. I could not ejaculate but I felt vagina by the age of 8 years old. I smoked weed for the first time at 12 years old and drank at 16. I was addicted to marijuana since I started but last year Jesus gave me a victory I will never forget. I was homeless (because of my disobedience) and one night after I smoked one spliff I rolled another and was about to light it but I said Jesus help me please. I was in my brothers car and I don't care if anyone heard me either I was crying, and pretty loud but I also felt weak when the enemy was tryna hold me back from calling on his name. I believed anyway and kept the faith and he saved me from marijuana that same night. This all happened last year summer. King Jesus is real and you should never give up on him. As of right now I cannot say that I am living how I want to but I ask for prayer and also for my desire to pray and to feel his comfort. Even if i don't I will not stop praying. The enemy truly hates me but I do not care. I love the Lord. I want to live for him because I know it is right.

Vincent Rizzo I understand your point. There are some things about Kanye that can be attributed to early fruit that are concerning such as: arrogant comments in his Apple interview and some of the lyrics on the album about his justification about his prices for his clothes and the fact he is depicting Christ crucified. Partnering that graphic with the outrageous cost is the biggest concern for me. So the jury is still out with me about this whole thing. I’m waiting for more fruit, but until then I am going to comment on the positive and admit his album moves me and the format for the Sunday Services is giving glory to Yahweh any way you shake it. Go watch all of his most recent interviews and hear for yourself the sins he's admitted to, confessed and repented of; things he's renounced since his born again experience. He is yet a babe in Christ and the Lord is faithful to complete that which He has begun in Kanye, just like He did with you and me. Never forget where the Lord brought you from, my brother. God's not done with any of us yet. No one is good, except God alone, and our righteousness is as filthy rages. Remember that? I was at this service man, there’s literally no way to describe how it felt to finally see my lifelong idol (in the front row too!) in person. My sister called me to tell me that tickets went on sale without any announcements, and I just remember not being able to sleep the night before the performance. I’m a nonbeliever but watching his energy and listening to the voices of the beautiful choir was something that I’ll never forget. I remember talking to the people around us about how big fans we all were, still in huge disbelief that he’d come to Baton Rouge of all places. He was also almost 2 hours late for the performance lmao, but the payoff was worth it. Thank you Ye for an incredible experience ❤️

To Kanye ! You’re so inspiring and I truly envy you that you still found a way to channel your talent in bringing glory to the Lord Jesus Christ with your sheer God-given gifts. As for me, now all of 58yo, and “indoctrinated” into the evangelical bible reading doctrines in my earlier years (since around 16yo) but only recently pursuing the in-depth study of the Word perhaps in the past 2-3 years, after being sidelined from an active career in Law and HR management, I know for sure something is up with God and He (the Lord Jesus Christ) is returning soon for his children. If there’s anything I can help with in your work for the Lord, please let me know as I am currently not busy and coasting along in the luxury granted to me by the Lord to study the Bible in-depth at my own leisure.
