      Thank you Joyce! It’s a different aesthetic from resin and it’s nice being able to work with both!

    LOVELY!!! I use aquaresin too, it's wonderful, love that you get more working time with it.

      Thank you!! I agree, the work time with Aqua resin is amazing. That’s actually why I haven’t tried Jesmomite yet because of the short work time. Maybe one day I’ll be able to do a comparison.

    How much pigment would it take to get a solid red hue, please? Is it even possible or does it always tend towards pastel?

      Check out my video working with TotalBoat Razzo: ua-cam.com/video/cAmDV26BNT4/v-deo.html. Material is similar, but I was able to get darker colors nicely with it. I did use different pigments (provided for Razzo), so that may be the answer.

    These are really neat! Do you have troubles with air bubbles near the etchings of the flowers, or do you find that brushing it on in the beginning solves that problem?

      Thank you so much! I surprisingly don't really get bubbles in my etchings. The brush does a really good job for that.

    Are they heat resistant?

    • @EllafulDeco
      @EllafulDeco  Рік тому

      According to their website, they say it's heat resistant and can even be used as candle vessels. I personally have not used this material with any hot things. Here is the link to their FAQ for more details: www.aquaresin.com/faqs.

    Do you recommend a certain time for mixing? I've been getting white speckles in all of my mixes that I've been using my handmixer and I think I'm not mixing long enough but I'm not totally sure.

    • @EllafulDeco
      @EllafulDeco  2 роки тому +1

      I mix for about 2 minutes with my hand mixer. Maybe different ones vary in power so you may need to mix longer. The mixing attachment might also play a role. My mixer came with two different attachments and I'm using the one that looks like a whisk. I've used something like a frother and that was useless for me. Those were the 2 things I observed from that experience. Hope that helps!

    What sealer do you use to seal them?

    • @EllafulDeco
      @EllafulDeco  2 роки тому

      I am using Clark’s wax for stone and concrete to seal these trays.

    Is this safe to use? Safer then epoxy resin?

    • @EllafulDeco
      @EllafulDeco  2 роки тому

      This is safer than epoxy because it's water based and does not release VOCs like epoxy does. I would suggest a dust mask when working with this though because of the powder.
