Saw Yes live in 1972. Wakeman was on his first stint with the band. As a student of piano, I was thunderstruck at the sounds he produced. Anderson and Howe were in top form, and Squire's work was also impeccable. They were ALL virtuosos. Oh, and there was a laser show going the entire time. Blew my 17 year-old mind.

Wow, that's awesome Rachel. I only caught them once in '79. You could call it their 'lame' period. Grateful to have the videos to enjoy. Blessings (Yes-sings?😉) to you and yours. Outta sight! 😎

I saw Yes in February '72 on their Fragile tour. Bill Bruford was the drummer, who would leave the band several months later. Stood in the first row, about two feet from the stage, in front of Chris Squire. The warm- up band was the J Geils band😀

Back in the day, that's the 70's, when I was young and foolish in Newcastle, Australia I used to lay in the dark listening to Fragile, Close to the Edge, Tales From the Topographic Oceans on my inexpensive record player... And then got older and fell into the disco night club era. Dancing around like a fool as you do.
Then one late afternoon in '83 I was sitting in a cocktail bar on the Fulham Road in London (it was winter by then and the sun was setting), this song blasted out of the speakers. I was captivated again by the sounds of Yes and went and bought the the album 90125 the next day... Just my little story, there you go!

To hear it when it first came out at 23 years old was magical. Elements of the old Yes but with the vibrancy added through the advent of electronic technology (Fairlight sampling stabs, synth guitar, Linn drums, high class production by Trevor Horn etc).
Incidentally, is that Bill Bruford on stage relegated to playing the maracas ?
