Glad that that's over. Lets get back to normal
You totally wrong Simon! Consumption of low alchohol BEERS is rising ali the time
No he's right , who's paying for this pish in a can other than the type of bloke who lets his wife do all the thinking 😂
same with vegan food (I am vegan since a very long time). He probably lives in his own bubble and sees the world like he wants it to be. If he would check the sales numbers, then he would recognise that both are huge growing markets. A simple fact: You you want to get something new startet, then you need advertisement. If somethings sells well, then it's stupid to waste money on advertisement.
@@frankseyen9156 he s a dick .
@@frankseyen9156 have you not seen the reduced items section on supermarkets? In my experience they are often full of plant based heavily processed garbage . So I would agree it's clearly on its way out . Thankfully . That stuff will give you serious health issues if consumed regularly
I just tried this beer yesterday got 2 cans as part of multipack of their non alcoholic beers, it went down the sink, I then poured the other can down the sink its vile, the other 3 in the pack Lost/Punk/Hazy were fine.
The reason I believe the Six Nations has Guinness 0 advertising on the pitch I believe is because in France they cannot advertise alcohol in sports matches so this is the get around. Same with Spain where alcohol is banned at all football stadiums and they serve San Miguel Zero. As I said before when my wife was pregnant is was great and my father in law developed an allergy to alcohol in later life so needs to drink these things now and the choice now he can get is incredible for him compared to basically Becks Blue back in the late 00s.
Best way to view non-Alcoholic beers is in the same light as every other January "New me" fad. That's not to say they don't have their place and I have stated on here multiple times I have been drinking some myself to help cut down especially after Xmas. I just can't see many people cutting alcohol out completely and then drinking these instead. Partly because most of them just aren't very good and you'll be drinking them to replace the real thing which might become an issue for say problem drinkers and why doctors generally don't recommend them in such cases. You take those who don't like alcohol and never drink it you wont see them buying non-alcohol beers they'll likely be having a coffee, Tea, J2O etc
Can’t enough you’ve become a sheep by doing dry January
This is a man that hops out of bed and downs pint after pint of beer in his conservatory at 9 in the morning……I think some tone off is very sensible.
Non alcohol beer is definitely working, some are absolutely awful you pour it down the sink but breweries have been producing these poor ones for years Old speckled hen for instance and I don't understand how it is still being produced !
At the other end of the scale there are some good ones let's say quiet drinkable and it's only going to get better which will mean the demise of the poor quality low alcohol beers. A massive range of quality low alcohol beer is not needed we just need half a dozen outstanding ones. If you drink mainly because of the effect alcohol has that's a different problem
Wingman original is one of the worst biers they produced in my opinion, this must be worse 😂
Thought this one was strange as well. Reminded me of flavoured sparkling water.
A couple questions for you. In a few videos you mention you are a keen snooker player.
1 What do you drink, when playing snooker, when you are off the alcohol?
2 if your snooker club say they will sell any 3 AF beers. What would they be and would you drink them, again when you are off the alcohol?
I think he drinks Doombar when playing snooker
Brewdog used to put their AF Elvis Juice in the AF multi packs up until last year. There must have been something criminally wrong to swap it with Wingman!
Personally I see non alcoholic beer as complimentary to normal beer. It is something people are choosing midweek in addition to their normal beers at the weekend. Oh and non alcoholic beer sales are on the up and up, the bubble most certainly has not burst if you look at the figures.
I agree, part of the downward trend of NA beers he's observing is likely due to the price.
I agree that the NA push is too extreme, however his take here is too extreme the other way.
I've enjoyed his NA reviews and am a little disappointed he won't be doing anymore.
pesky overlords not wanting us to die of lung cancer or liver cirrhosis
There are some good non or low alcoholic beers on the market and some terrible ones too . The price on some are scandalous . Best buys are Becks blue and Adnams ghost ship 0.5 abv , avoid lucky saint overpriced piss at £2.50 in supermarkets and £5.25 at a music venue near me
This is great, you taste these failures so we don’t. I’m looking for a good AF beer so I can drink an amber liquid when I go out in my camper van with my lunch when I do for a day out and not worry about getting done for drink drive.
I really dont get it . Its like having a smoke free cigarette or a bacon free bacon sandwich . Beer was made for the alcohol . Whoever drinks alcohol free has some serious character flaws .
I would say it's more like having nicotine free cigarettes and fat free bacon sandwich. If you like the taste of beer a lot and consume higher quantities if you want to keep a reasonable amount of your brain and limit the damage to liver and other organs you haven't got much choice if you still want the taste...
Alcohol is a by-product of the brewing process, something that was not known about for thousands of years after ‘beer’ was first brewed.
Beer was made to keep people both fed and watered because the water wasn’t safe to drink. The alcohol is a happy coincidence
@andrewsteer8860
You don't actually need a brewing process for alcohol production don't know if you saw it but many years ago watched African animals elephants monkeys etc getting drunk on Marula fruit quite funny.
@ exactly, yeast in the air interacts with sugars from rotting fruit. Brewing is just using sugars from grain
@@madbiker1000 you described the character flaws perfectly . Just cut down on said item instead . It just takes a bit of discipline, same as people who want to chug fizzy pop all the time so they buy sugar free thinking that's ok for the health.
You realise no one is actually forcing you to stop drinking beer or meat, even the " Overlords" weren't
I done Dry January too. I have to say I enjoyed Ghost ship, Erdinger and Guinness 00. I disagree and think there will be a place for some of these liquids but then again I am a vegan 😀
