This video just popped up as a suggestion, and I'm glad that I watched it. Looked like a great route through some epic countryside. We have nothing like this in the UK. More importantly, it's three buddies getting out there and loving life. 👍
This is amazing i just backpacked Isle Royale up in Michigan and i told my buddy i would love to do a biking trip this is right up my alley, great video!
At 38:12 one of you makes a left across a road, seemingly without looking. Reminded me of a buddy who did that (summer of 79) & was hit by a car moving 60mph. Miraculously he survived & wasn’t even seriously injured. The car took the bike out from under him and launched him into the air. We still talk about his near death experience 45yrs later.
We attempted to piece together a route this summer from Buffalo, NY to Pittsburgh this summer and found out that PA is hilly! The gear range on my gravel bike was not up to the task. I think I walked 25% of the route. Your trip looks like it was a terrific adventure. Great job guys. 🎉
Every adventure is good one! Ahhhh yeee once ya git dahn there by Chautauqua county things start going uphill! It’s like a cork in the ocean up and down. Cheers to the next one homie 🤙
Some of that gravel looks heavenly to ride on. Looks like you guys had a blast and ate well. On the Salsa, I could see your total load coming to 100lbs. I noticed how you struggled with your cinching straps. Have a look at ROK Straps. They use a combination of nylon webbing with an elastic segment and release clips. The challenge with strapping gear to the top sometimes involves making sure that there's no play, and these straps help because there's always that elastic tension when you need it. They come in different lengths and colors. I ended up buying the black with reflective pattern for my Surly Troll.
@@the_dirtbags I don't see them listed on Harbor Freight. I know Amazon carries them and Walmart will sell them as well, but you might have to order them online if they don't have them in your particular store. I don't know who all else carries them. The straps come in different lengths, so take note of that when you buy. Standard length is 12" to 42" with a 1/2" width. The Commuter version does 12 to 24" which is ideal for most cyclists. Longer "ATV" versions start at 18" to 60" length with 5/8" width, which is likely too long for your bicycle needs. I have two sets of commuter, and two sets of standard (just in case I need to tie down lots of bulk).
The whoopie pie, alternatively called a black moon, gob (Pittsburgh area), black-and-white, bob, or BFO (for Big Fat Oreo), is an American baked confection that may be considered either a cookie, pie, sandwich, or cake. It is made of two round mound-shaped pieces of usually chocolate cake, or sometimes pumpkin, gingerbread or other flavored cakes, with a sweet, creamy filling or frosting sandwiched between them.
Love the channel love the video. I live in South Central PA. I have been all over northern PA, I never even thought about cycling up there. Well I’m not known for thinking. I’m looking forward to more adventures. I’m inspired now. Thinking maybe I’m ready for a cycling trip myself.
Great job DUDES!!! Keep it up!! History, great scenery, and the whoopie pie reviews were excellent. I must say you are missing one thing and that’s a wheelie! Better put it in your upcoming 2052 video!

Great video lads! I grew up in Maryland and put many miles on the C&O Canal Towpath back when I was in HS. What are your thoughts on that Brooks C17? I'm doing Tour Aotearoa in January and thinking about investing in one if it will significantly improve ass pain.

Wow this video just popped up after watching some NorCal stuff. As a NY guy that visits Mt Airy in the Poconos I can't believe the elevation you dudes were hitting. Over 27K feet!!! I noticed that you dropped your packs on the last day or riding. I bet that was nice on the last day to lose about 75 lbs of gear. Great video!!!!
