Meet PAUL ELLIS “THE GINGER MAN” Mr.Ellis has been farming ginger from the tender age of 9, he told us he grow up seeing his mother and father planting Ginger, he learned everything about How to grow and care for Ginger from them, Mr Ellis is Now producing up to 5000 lbs of Ginger per season, but Ginger is not the only thing he plants, he also farms crops such as Yam, Doshene, Tumoric, corn, sorrel and Irish potatoes.
His story was really inspirational, now am thinking about farming Ginger myself.

Farming is one of the most neglected sector and it is one of the MOST important. A country that can supply itself with food are always rich countries. It breaks my heart how farmers are treated. I learned A lot watching this video.

    Good day Shan Zen Zen...
This was such an informative and heartwarming video. Farmers are such special people. They always seem to be so kindhearted and giving. Big up to Mr. Paul and his wife Ms Hazel for tilling the land and blessings us with the fruits of their labour. That yellow yam looked soooo good. Jamaica is so blessed and we tend to take so much for granted. We definitely need to invest more in farming and reduce our import bill. As Mr. Paul pointed out. The farmers need to work together in order to produce the volumes required for export. (Not sure if they still have cooperatives.) Miss Shan, stay blessed and continue to do your good works. 🙏
