I'd wait and see what it looks like after buffing is done. To me, clearing it is not a lot different from painting it. Either way, it's not really original anymore. I like clearing some old cars to show the patina in an artistic way, but I'm not feeling it on that GTO. But I live in Frisco, so I like things "fancy."
I had a 67 but it was not that nice. I did do front disk and replaced the complete brake system. Rebuild 327, love this little engine, awesome power. Miss my 67
@@fidellaboy-negron5816 i really want one, but sadly we never had any american muscle cars in Denmark.. my friend has enherited a Ranchero and its amazing
Nice to see Alex joining in the conversation with Dennis about the cars & what's been done. They bounce off each other nicely. Great work on those cars. 👍
lol not gonna lie, alex seems super cool but I wasn't sure if he had the chops to lead the show - I was genuinely super impressed with how natural he is talking, love to see it!
The respect and positivity Dennis shows his employees is great, it really shows the employees look like they love working there and the customer gets an awesome product back.just a great successful business. Get you some of that.⚡️TCB ⚡️
The knowledge that Dennis has combined with the mechanical skills that Alex has is awesome to see. I now know where the expression "cut from the same clothe " came from.
Alex definitely has the dream job!! Keep it up man!! We need more folks like you to carry on the knowledge of this mastermind you have teaching you!!! Keep it up alex!! Your doing a great job! ESPECIALLY being hands on with dennis and able to and take in the mastermind knowledge that man has!! Props to you sir!
Totally agree Brian. The shop and personnel are driven by passion. I understand the financial aspect. We need to keep young people interested.....old automotive engineer...
I love that the camera man gets the aperture up so we can see the details and not get distracted by the camera focus going in and out, incredible camera work!
I had a 72 loved that car fastest thing on the road all 150 maybe less horse power and it's one barrel carb and posy rear end BUNNY HOP EVERY BURN OUT rear end was so light had 60s on the rear. Let me wipe the drool from my chin
It's cool that we still have people bringing the American Muscle back to perfection. This younger generation doesn't have a appreciation for the VINTAGE CARS, JEEPS, TRUCKS ETC..👍👍GREAT JOB GUYS!
@@markgriffin4888 yes, I’ve heard so much about Utes, but they are virtually impossible to find here in the US. The owner of a cigar store, here in Dallas, TX (near our house), used to have one. It was always parked outside the shop, when it was open. Very cool.
Always a pleasure watching Coffee Walk, the respect Dennis shows, the knowledge he shares and, not to be forgotten, the way Alex is growing with his skills and knowledge too.
Unbelievable. You dont even hear the starters turn on these vehicles they start so good. Just amazing work guys. These guys are doing things the RIGHT way. Which is the only way. It's only original once.
"I hate to even get in and out of it." LOL! That thing really is a true time capsule. It's got to be about the only one that original, and in that good of a condition. Absolutely museum material.
That maybe a Texas thing in 1985 I was going throught USAF basic training in San Antiono. And all the D.I.'s used that saying, pretty much the only place I had heard people say Outstanding.
That El Camino is perfect. The GTO is nice enough to leave as is and a testament to the original owner who obviously Loved it just like me. I Rode in a Judge once 455 4spd when I was 13 Pontiac fan for life. I have owned a 75 Granville convertible 455 4v for 28 years and a 1989 GTA TA for 5. Great job people.
That guy is a heckuva worker. Very skilled too. You can tell he cares about doing a great job. You don't always find that in people, especially so young.
Thanks for asking on the Pontiac it's only original once you have it looking great, a car you can drive and really enjoy, and not a trailer queen, great videos thanks to all the crew.
Your attention to detail and given somebody a brand new car, is outstanding. I grew up in the 60s the GTO 's Chargers. What a great channel. Thank you Dennis and all your men I love coffee walk.
I enjoy Coffee Walk and really liked the ride to your local restaurant and you talking about how the rode has changed. How about one telling us the history of Collins Brothers?
With the variety of cars in the scene today Resto Mods are super popular but I am still a purist at heart and love that Dennis and Alex leave it as it was when it left the factory. To me its art and engineering marvel. Y'all really are great care takers of these cars of yesteryear
Good help is hard to find, but it looks like YOU found it. Your team is GREAT. The only thing that would be better would be if I could afford that goat. Just awesome.
I really can't say enough about how much I enjoy your videos. I love all the vehicles but especially the GTO, I think you guys are going the right direction by just fixing what needs to be fixed. I would love to have a chance to buy a car from Dennis Collins, absolute quality!. You are a class act my friend.
Amazing transformations on very rare low mileage examples. 1965 was a pinnacle year for Chevrolet, they were at the top of their game for sure. The wheel trim rings on the '67 Jeepster were an exact copy of 1958 Cameo Carriers. Keep the GTO original, wet sanding with 1000 grit often times produces amazing results. Thank you for the long awaited updates Dennis, love the channel.
Barn find originals are the bomb Dennis. Great finds with the Burgandy 69 GTO, the 65 El Camino and the 67 Jeepster. Love to see them freshened up and brought back to life. Keep doing what you do. 😎👍
Dennis is most certainly a great and generous gentleman and treats everyone with the utmost respect that’s why he has such a large following I would love to meet home some day
follow up videos on the barn find pieces are great - keep em coming. Esp love the GTO work in progress - no need to repaint that original finish - just wash, buff and drive to enjoy!
I just found your channel this morning and I'm addicted! I hate The "car restoration" shows on T.V/Internet when the shops are always crunched for time/MECHANICS arguing. You know the shows, WEST COAST CUSTOMS, Rust to Riches......ETC. The shows where people are putting obscene sound systems, and Play Station 5's into cars. Just restore them back to factory stock or mod them within moderation for performance. I like that you didn't fix the dent in that GOATs rocker panel....or was it the Stang? Patina is a sign of old age and brings some character. I will keep watching!
Glad to see you saving the good cars people say there not to many left not true there is lot of them left getting people to turn loose of them out in the hills
Dennis you are one of the only channels my 4 year old son will actually sit and watch fully with me. If I were to buy some merch would you sign it for us!? Please and thank you!🔥🔥🔥👍👍❤
El Camino is a jewel. Someone will get a beautiful car. The Jeeps are special in many ways. Take a shot at buffing the GTO. I think it will come out and surprise you.
What do you think? Should we matte clear the GTO or leave it as is?
Leave it
Leave it original. Like Richard Rawlings says its only original once.
Leave it.👍
I'd wait and see what it looks like after buffing is done. To me, clearing it is not a lot different from painting it. Either way, it's not really original anymore. That El Camino is utterly stunning. Nice to see Alex getting more interactive with us viewers!

and two good guys no bullshit just real car guys
Dennis has the mechanical skills also make no mistake , he just doesn’t need to get dirty anymore ….
Is Alex the son of Dennis?
Well done Dennis! Alex is such a fine mechanic as are the rest of your employees!! You are truly a joy to watch!

And so still and smooth 👌
Yea very high quality videos. Your killing it PDM
Love that El Camino! Everybody wants an El Camino!

Dennis,Dang u have enough museum quality stuff have a museum yourself! Nice!!!
That El Camino is freaking gorgeous!!! So cool….to me they are the “mullet” of the car world - “Business up front, party in the back!”
Now you know why us AUSSIES love our utes ( I've got 3 them )👍👍👍👍👍👍

Love it 👌🏻
All right Alex! Nice to hear you add some excellent context. Hey Dennis, give him a raise!

Outstanding..

This is definitely a man that could teach classes in vehicle identification. Thanks!
It’s quite obvious that the workshop is Alex’s safe place. Very able and talented young man obviously.
I'd move to Texas to work for Dennis!
Total class act, a decent human being.
So nice I had to like it twice!
"I hate to even get in and out of it." LOL! That thing really is a true time capsule. It's got to be about the only one that original, and in that good of a condition. Absolutely museum material.
Hell yeah brother! I thank the universe y'all exist...
Loved more interaction from Alex and genuine appreciation from Denis of the excellent work!
Unlike others, DENIS dose not talk down to his employees 👍👍👍👍👍👍 the him
Caught myself saying "outstanding" must have picked it up from your videos; you do say it often. Great content; I watch every one.
That maybe a Texas thing in 1985 I was going throught USAF basic training in San Antiono. And all the D.I.'s used that saying, pretty much the only place I had heard people say Outstanding.
Outstanding drinking game ^^
STUNNING
Caught myself doing it at a restaurant over the weekend though it seemed to fit the situation. I see no reason to stop.
Nice to see Alex growing in confidence and becoming more involved and verbal with the build updates.
You guys got both looking showroom fresh.
The Goat will be awesome as untouched original paint. 😎👍🇨🇦
Isnt Alex only in his 20’s?? To know the in’s and outs of all these cars has to be a god given gift
I believe I heard he is 23 on an earlier episode. Hell of a worker and person it appears to me !
Alex is gifted, and he is going places...I hope Dennis gives him an awesome Christmas bonus every year...he deserves it...

I agree that GTO is perfect the way it is. Ready to go eat asphalt !!
That El Camino dang!!!! Beautiful!!!
Alex have grown so much under Dennis care. Great 👍 job and really enjoy the Vlog.
That GTO is the best thing iv seen on 4 wheels in a long time...👍🙂👍🇬🇧🇺🇲🇬🇧🇺🇲
That guy is a heckuva worker. Very skilled too. You can tell he cares about doing a great job. You don't always find that in people, especially so young.

Crazy Alex looks so young, but he has some serious mechanical ability. Awesome episode.
The El Camino is stunning, great work.
Denis is the type of guy you just be quiet and listen to and nod when he something cool as hell
I enjoy Coffee Walk and really liked the ride to your local restaurant and you talking about how the rode has changed. How about one telling us the history of Collins Brothers?

The Holy Grail of El Caminos it's just outstanding
Some of the best videos I’ve seen l like it that there’s no fluff just real life
That has to have made y’all proud when your customer compared your work to NCRS standards. Outstanding!
Good help is hard to find, but it looks like YOU found it. Your team is GREAT. The only thing that would be better would be if I could afford that goat. Just awesome.
One of my favourite watches in a week this channel. 👌⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Dennis. If you keep this up Richard will be very envious!
Nice to see Alex getting more comfortable in front of the camera. Great video. Cheers from Southern Thailand.

My choice is the 65 El Camino. We're the same age. This is actually the only car program I ever watch. Thumbs up from Alberta Canada.
Dennis, THANKS! for the update video.

Man I have a soft spot for GTO’s…..Early Malibus and ElCaminos too….heaven.
Love that El Camino ❣️❤️❣️
Beautiful El Camino
Great. Simply great.
Alex must work his ass off when he ain’t drinking coffee with Dennis.
On the GTO, preserve the original paint even faded looking as it is. It's just a dull colour, maybe even a boring colour but yet its so characterful.
Great to see Alex commenting. Love the vibe of the show
WoW they look stunning ........!
You guys are the absolute best. Good to hear more from Alex.
Absolutely love Alex. He's being taught by the best.
Totally love this video. I like when you find the cars but like this as much, if not more .

Beautiful cars and update. It feels good to see them again and see the progress in the works. Really like the color on that blue Jeep.

That Jeep is beautiful
Nice to see the updates. Thanks!
To be so young Alex sure is talented with the cars!
That El Camino is fantastic 👍
Eh, I literally CAN hear the Jeepster run? Dennis is prone to the odd overstating! Outstanding!
The blue jeep is a dream ride. Would love to have that as a summer cruiser
Superb work ☕
Alex is coming out of his shell. 😃 (all for the better, his knowledge and expertise is growing by the week)
What an awesome video. Dennis and Alex have the same passion!
Keep after it!
