- In today's vlog we head to the Gaylord Palms Resort to check out ICE! Thank you to ICE and Gaylord Palms for inviting us out and for the complimentary admission to ICE, the snow tubes and snowball throwing. We started our night with a couple of walk throughs of ICE! featuring A Christmas Story. We both really enjoyed this! A Christmas Story is such a staple of the Christmas season so it was really neat to see the iconic scenes made of ice. The exhibit is kept at 9 degrees so be sure to dress accordingly if you visit! They do provide you with a parka but it would be a good idea to layer so you can spend more time inside. Then we had a look at the Alpine Village area where they have snow tubing, snowball throwing, a full bar, Mrs. Claus meet & greet, photo ops and gift shops and more. We did the snow tubing, which we love every year! This year we got to try the snowball throwing, also fun, but I don't know how good we were at it lol. We walked around the resort a little bit and stumbled upon the Christmas tree before we left. We had a great time and we appreciate Gaylord Palms reaching out to us. Thanks for watching and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

Randy. Ralphie's brother is Randy.
As a northerner, watching Floridians be cold is never not amusing to me
I was just outside in the Florida heat and being a Northerner them mentioning how cold it was made me want to sit in there in a swim suit.
Hell, I'm Texan and I find their shivering funny... and we ain't _nearly_ as cold as you guys. =)
9° is a heat wave sometimes up here in the winter!😂😂
Oh, I remember times when it was in the negatives for over a week and then seeing that it was going to be 5° and got really happy.
Come to Indiana 65 is summer here
This ICE exhibit is amazing! Especially since it is in Orlando. Totally impressed by all the Christmas story scenes.
Jenn, you remind me of Joey on Friends! “Could I BE wearing anymore clothes?!?!”
I'm home on maternity leave and iv been watching some of your older videos. It's amazing seeing how you've matured. You can really tell that in the beginning you were just goofing around with no care. And now although you are still having fun, you take the videos more seriously. Keep up the amazing work and I look forward to watching you guys for years to come. Merry Christmas
I’d like to see all you winter people come to Florida in mid-July and see just how long you all can stand the heat and humidity before you run for air conditioning. Our harsh weather doesn’t come during the winter months!!!
rachel ledwith I have been to Orlando in mid-July... and I LOVE it!! I live in Wisconsin, but my heart remains in Florida!
... I must remember to check the lost and found the next time I’m there...
Omg.... So Cal girl here..... We got off the plane in FL.... Thought it was just the terminal thing from the plane to the building....and than...we realized...it wasnt the tube haha.... Loved beautiful Fl...God bless anyone who can totes handle that level of humidity and heat all at once 🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞
We come down every summer, usually June or July, but it has been August as well. We're from Ohio, and Md, and we currently live in SE NC. (I work in DC, so I get winter weather every year.)
We did both end of June/ beginning of July and beginning of September. We lived. It's personal preference. I wouldn't wish the cold of Buffalo on a native Floridian. It's pretty rough.
I’ve lived in Colorado and experienced nearly 40 below zero with 50+mph wind, lived in Vegas when it was over 120 degrees and have family down in Mississippi, Florida, Texas, and I’ve spent a lot of time down on their farms working in 100+ degrees/95% humidity.
Weather, meh.
I love Jenn all dressed up like a kid in her winter clothes. And her "Oh my God" is always fun.
I absolutely love how Ice Sculptures became more realistic than everyone could expect!
Joe Pesci was Harry and Daniel Stern was Marv; 'Home Alone' top ten Christmas movies, plus I love 'A christmas Story' too - watch it every year
Kevin Gerhardt Yesss! I love those Christmas movies
It reminded me of when Ralphs brother was bundled up. I have been to a few of them. Every year since I heard about them anyway. Usually, I do it down here in Orlando, but one year I did it at the Gaylord Opryland one.
I love how they go all out for the holidays. I have to get over there still this year.
We just went to ICE in Nashville. It was grinch theme. So fun and super cold❄☃️⛄🌬
Kristen Knight my oldest daughter went there this wkend (in Nashville) to see the ice and said it was alot of fun!
Wow!! That’s amazing!! Love what they did with the ice. Thanks for sharing.
The snowballs are pre-formed??? But packing those suckers is half the point!
So glad you guys are getting all these PERKS after all your hard work and dedication to your vlogging! Congrats and love watching!!
JENN LOOKS SO CUTE WITH THE BLUE BEANIE!!
It looks so beautiful! Why can’t we have places like this where I live!!!
Cinematic tube holding shot was the best. 👍
We were just at the Gaylord National this weekend and saw the Charlie Brown ICE show. It was one of my favorites. We go every year.
That Elf on a Shelf photo op was super cute!
Being from Michigan THIS CRACKED ME UP! This is a warm winters day!
It's amusing to see how many layers of clothes you need for -12 degrees Celsius which is considered mild during the winter where I'm from. Indoor snowballs & tubing. Lol. 🇨🇦❄⛄
Funny how acclimitization works, I'm from Canada too and while -12°C is nothing, I die every time I go to Florida during the summer
@@twelveobscuregeese It's because Canadians are part snowmen/women. I can't imagine Florida in the summer.
same here lol!!! what part of canada are you from?
We were in stitches. 65 degrees would be a heat wave for us.
Another great video and Merry Christmas 🎁🎄
Oh yeah, pro tip: bring a ziploc-type bag, that you can fit your camera in, with you inside the tent. Put your camera in it and close it up just before you walk out of the refrigerated zone, and leave it closed until the camera temp evens out with the outside air. You wont be able to use the camera in the bag, or you could, but I wouldn't recommend it. This method will prevent moisture from building up inside the camera body. I worked as an art director on some of these shows. I used to work for the company that designs them, so I have a lot of experience bringing a camera in and out of those frozen tents, haha!
Believe it or not I've never seen the movie all the way through...but pretty amazing that's all made out of ice!
The theme for a Christmas story movie is amazing. Great video Tim and Jenn.
I love this year's ICE!
Randy was in the cabinet saying dad's going kill Ralphie! And their mom says no he's not and gives Randy a glass of milk while he's in the cabinet!
This is my favorite Christmas movie! My mother and I watch it together every Christmas Eve.
All those ice sculptures are pretty impressive! It made me cold just watching, hahaha!! That place is pretty cool!
The guy from Home Alone is Joe Pesci!!!
no its Macaulay Culkin
its totally Joe Pesci
It's Michael B. Jordan.
It's definitely Joe Pesci. He also starred in Leathal Weapon and got shot on the ice.
Lauren Poland I LOVE HOME ALONE!!! Ahhh I can’t wait to watch all the Home Alone movies!
4:08 - Scut Farkus and Grover Dill. ( I always thought it was "Scott" but have just recently learned otherwise. ) BTW, this whole thing is amazing. I thought the car at the opening was giving away the best part too soon, but as it went on each room got better and better. Just amazed.
I love Gaylord Palms, been there several times i plan to go to the next ICE event and take as many videos as I can. Thanks for sharing.
This was so neat, seems to get bigger and better every year! Thanks
I was there last year and it was so much fun!!! I used to live in a colder climate and now I live in Florida so I miss the cold. Brought back a lot of memories :)
This looks awesome. Such a great movie and so well done.
That light up ice slide!😍
We live about 10 minutes from the Christmas Story house in Cleveland ,but that ice carving was awesome.
Loved your video. We went to ICE in Nashville today to celebrate my son
Robbie's birthday. Got home and watched your trip and compared the two as part
of his home school report. We wish we had snow balls to throw.
Gaylord at National Harbor in Maryland is doing a Charlie Brown Christmas.
Such a great idea to do these ice sculpture shows! Thanks for sharing your experience, looks like a lot of fun!
We live in Indiana and have been to Ohio where the really house is! It’s so cool and on certain times of the years Ralphies little brother is actually there giving tours. it really cool to see! You guys should go!
You guys are so COOL! lol as always. Thank you for taking us!!
What a great place for all to visit. Thank you Jenn n Tim for bringing it into my home. Great job.
Hope more people get to Gaylord n have a ball. You both have so much fun!!!
I can't get over how funny you both look in all that winter gear😂
THAT, was amazing. Thank you.
We went down the slide from A Christmas Story yesterday at Castle Noel, it was freaking amazing!
It was actually Randy, the little brother, who was hiding in the cupboard under the kitchen sink, because he was scared that "Daddy's gonna kill Ralphie!" after the fight incident. Great video! We have yet to check out Ice! It always looks so amazing in the advertisements! ❄😀
When you guys put the down coats on and said it was 65 I was like come on 🤦🏻♀️, but I quickly forgave when you showed the sign that it was 9 degrees. That’s cold, even up north! lol
Everyone loves you two together in the vlogs! Nice hats! :)
I'm not the biggest fan of A Christmas Story, but I liked all the ice sculptures in this video.
I would imagine that when you get tickets that they tell you to dress for such temperatures. It would be an otherwise definite surprise to me if I was visiting Florida
Fun Fact: The narrater from A Christmas Story, Jean Shepherd, is also the voice of the dad in the Carousel of Progress.
David Phistry Not only the narrator, but wrote the script based off his own book “In God We Trust - All Others Pay Cash”. He also used to do a radio show! Amazing story teller. A big part of me wants them to never update Carousel just because I wouldn’t want to loose his voice.
Richard Ludwig I agree. I have that book as well.
I loved this video! ICE looks Awesome! This year! I love how you went through and quoted the movie! It would definitely make me do the same at each scene!!
Tim you should have stopped yourself on the slide, climb back up and talk to santa like in the movie!! Great video, wow what cool sculptures and your narrative is on point!
You are rocking your editing! The test pattern was awesome!
9 degrees and your freezing, true Florida people LOL! Try being in minus 25 here in Canada at Winter. I’ll trade up with you all LOL! Wish I could visit that place this year, that exhibit is amazing. Thanks for sharing this video for those of us that cannot be there 😁👍 You two are awesome.
What a Wonderful adventure, A Christmas Story and Its A Wonderful Life are our all time favorite Christmas 🎄 Movies and seeing you experience A Christmas Story in ice was such a treat for us. We went to Gaylord Palms a couple years ago when it was Madagascar and we were not properly prepared for the cold and couldn’t really enjoy it because we were freezing and had to rush through it. It is so unbelievably cold. Living in Central Florida we do have cold snaps here where it’s in the 30’s in the winter and due to that fact you can never be too prepared. Thank you for sharing and I’m so glad you kids were toasty with lots of layers. Thank you for sharing ❤️ We love you two. P.S. that was so nice of them to send you tickets 👍
I love seeing Jenn coming along for the adventure!
I'm from up North and laughing at how cold you are!! Thanks for the video! The ice sculptures are amazing
FRAH-GEE-LAY... So appropriate for an ice sculpture exhibit 😂🥶 The IceSlide is the best- favorite Christmas movie too! (And also Elf) 🎄🎅🏼🎁 What a neat place to visit!
Oh and the foggy halos are very cinematic!
Christmas Story is my absolute favorite movie!! I'm so sad i'm missing this year's Ice it looks amazing!!
It's a tradition in my house, every Christmas day we watch A Christmas Story all day long!
That looked like so much fun! Glad you got to do it this year and stay longer.
Can't wait to go! I love Christmas Story!
If you havent been to an Ice Bar you should go! Bc everything is made of ice even the cups for drinks 😊 so fun to take pictures and experience it! I think there is one in Orlando....btw great video 💕
9 degrees.....pretty normal for Michigan winters lol. That’s why we wanna move to Florida! LOL
Thanks for another amazing video! 😊
You guys crack me up ! 9 degrees here for us in Alberta is a early spring day! People start wearing shorts and flip flops! Love your channel
I liked the ice place it looked so cool , ice cold, the snow throwing that was cool, Jenn you did so well on the throwing, tim you did well too.
You guys are hilarious! We have ICE at the Gaylord here in MD, and I don’t think anyone is as bothered by the cold. Poor FL peeps aren’t used to these temps! 😉☃️
would love to visit gaylord palms during the holidays someday! maybe next year
Not Danny DeVito ... Joe Pesci! ✨
I have stayed there, just not while this os groin got. Next time you are there, you should check out the Alligator feeding open to the public (2x a week), they have quite a few gators in the one area. Nice video.
Elf on a Shelf! Tim on a Bin! Jenn on a Wren! 😎
This is awesome!! This is my favorite Christmas movie!
Now that was very cool! I cannot believe all that was made of ice! Exactly like the movie! Jenn has a good arm! Snow tubing looks s much fun!
Loved the video Tim and Jenn, all your videos are so great. I love your channel so much
I almost spit out my tea when you said its very cold in there it's 6° cause being a canadian that's still flip flop temperature 😂
Love the theming! The Gaylord in Texas has never done A Christmas Story. We've got Rudolph this year, which is one they've done before.
That looked fun!! Thanks for sharing. I deliver mail in southern Illinois and the coldest I have been is -35. Ice formed in my mustash.
You should have watched the movie before going to this event. But thanks for taking us with you!
Looks like a fun time there.
you can go visit the actual Christmas Story house in Cleveland, Ohio! Its the house that they used to shot the outside scenes and it is so cool to be able to go there and they have props from the movie! I went earlier this year
Hi Tim!!! I’ve been watching your videos since before I first traveled to Disney World four years ago. I’m in Orlando again right now (from Seattle) and staying at a resort around the corner from the Gaylord Palms. It’s cool to think I’m getting to experience all the things I love watching you and Jenn talk about. Thank you always for the tips, and thank you for staying true to yourselves because y’all are awesome!!! Hope I run into you someday to thank you in person. Will be in Universal tomorrow for our last day in theme parks..... thanks again!!!
Ok I loved this 😂😂😂 I don't think I was able to take it that seriously most of the time because everything seemed funny to me ! From the puffy jackets , Jenn posing next to things , the snow tubing and the Santa slide 😂 I think because I live in the colder climates it's just funny in general to see how you guys react to cold weather but I'd be cold to if it were 9 degrees ! This was so much fun ! Ps I was hoping that with in the vlog you guys would see the elf on the shelf but it's ok Jenn made up for it when she posed by the elf on the shelf display !😄
My 5 year old thought his was hilarious! She thought you just have been at the North Pole until I pointed out its that temperature here today and has felt quite mild!!
This is so funny to watching you freezing like that! I understand that it's not a common thing for you to feel that sort of temperature but you probably would turn into a popsicle if you lived in my town.
I loved this video. Such a neat place to go. We don't have anything like this in So. California.
All I can think is “why do Tim and Jen own big down jackets when they live in Florida” ? Lol
They travel
3:21 Jenn was giving off major Ralphie vibes with the glasses and hat😂😂
Guys, if you love the Christmas Story you should visit the original movie house that has been restored. You can even stay overnight in it. We visited while on a road trip from the UK. Its well worth you time. You would love it :)
🤣😜🤘 Awesome video! Can totally see a date night here!
I'm so glad I watched this! How fun!! And from someone who lives in upstate NY ...9 degrees is cold even for us!
Thank you for sharing.
If I could get time off work at Christmas. I would love to visit it.
Aww! Love this vlog! We have one near us in Nashville and I think it's the Grinch! Anyway, I haven't been there this Christmas but it sounds pretty cool! That Elf on the Shelf photo op is pretty cute! You can pretend you're an Elf on the Shelf! And that Snow Tubing area was awesome! I wanna do that lol! And the Santa slide was cute too! I like Tim's backward picture! I also like the Snowball Toss thing! It was pretty cool! Well thanks for sharing your day with us! Have a good rest of the day!
This is awesome! My family went to Cleveland last year to tour the house where they
Filmed the movie, it was so much fun!
Love it! My sister's friend is sitting in the back of the classroom in the movie. Randy is the brother, Flick is one of the friends, Scott Farcus is the mean bully with "yellow eyes, so help me God, yellow eyes" The school which was Victoria School in St.Catharines, Ontario, my hometown.
Lol all these people laughing at us Floridians cause of how we dress when it’s cold, well, I thought it was so funny when I was in London this past summer and you all were experiencing your ‘heat wave’ and I was like seriously?? It’s gorgeous out! Your heat wave is our winters basically. When I was on the tube and they made announcements about having water and staying hydrated to avoid heat exhaustion I couldn’t believe it, I was like seriously? For this? It’s only like 85 degrees F out.
That looked so cool. A Christmas Story is my favorite Chrismtas movie. I don't know if I could do it though because it is way too cold for me and I am in NJ, lol. Thanks Tim and Jenn
I want to bring my young kids, but we are Floridian and don't own winter gear other than some hoodies and hats lol I'm assuming we should wait then, I don't feel like investing haha thanks for bringing us along!
You both are so funny in the lounge! I'm in NH and it is already 28 degrees (November 2019) here and we are still wearing fall jackets :-) 9 degrees is cold and we don't go out much below 15 degrees, too cold!
I think it would be really cool if you guys came to Cleveland and went to the real Christmas Story house. It is pretty neat to go and see. Then you can visit Cedar Point. It is an island/peninsula dedicated to just an amusement park that is Snoopy themed. Kalahari which is a large indoor water park. Then a fun Christmas stop is Castle Noel. It is America's largest indoor year round Christmas entertainment attraction. They have a ton a Hollywood Christmas movie props and costumes from the movie. It was SO COOL!
I put the links below for you guys to check out and something to think about coming and doing for a long weekend in the summer time. It is an escape from the Florida heat but not coming here when it is -20 and snowing. :) I LOVE watching you guys and seeing how much fun you two have as a couple. I thought it would be a nice get away from the normal big name places. Shed some light on smaller places.

Haha 9F (~ -13) is a warmer winter day for us Albertans (Edmonton). We can get to -40F (-40C) with the windchill sometimes. Just got 30cm (~ 12 inches) of snow over the weekend too
Best Christmas movie ever
coincidence, my school literally just got done with The Christmas Story as a play. 10/10
