    Still the best 120x25mm fan I have in terms of noise-normalised performance, and general quality - of course the Phanteks F120T30 is better if you have the room for it. I do wonder how it compares to the Sanyo Denki 9RA1212P4G001 though.

    I really appreciate you clicking your mouse so we have a comparison, i honestly cant beleive how quiet that is, next time i need some fans, i'll definitley go with noctua

      I would say to avoid most of the other 120mm/140mm Noctua models (except the NF-A12x15 is pretty good), there are better options in those cases. But the A12x25 is very good, especially if you can't fit the Phanteks T30.

      @@sultanjayakusumah519 Noctua fans come with an adapter to run at slower speeds for a quieter fan. The default plug of the fan runs it at higher rpms for more cooling performance.

      @@sultanjayakusumah519 Forgot to mention I have a p12 slim 140mm size and I have to run it at the slowest possible setting with an external fan controller to get it to be silent. I am buying a noctua fan of equivalent size and will run it with the silent adapter to see if it runs faster with less noise.

    These are basically silent at 1000 rpm which is crazy good.

      most fans are "silent" at 1000rpm, its that slow. personally I find noctua fans to have a really annoying humming sound and cheaper fans like arctic to be quieter with just about the same temps. noctua fans are built like tanks but has overrated performance compared to the competition.

      @@Stance1988arctic are quieter? No way, i had those fans 6 months ago maybe. They are no match against these. I would say they sound similar to the redux s12b or p12.

    Brilliant channel for fan reviews. There is no nasty high pitched sound with these unlike the Arctic P12s.

      @@SirMuteb I remember that the noise was low, but I still didn't like it. Shame, as I was a "fan" of Arctic fans up until that discovery. The Noctuas are still serving me well.

      @DaveThompsonfairlife4all arctic is the sudden rise when it needs to do more work after 1000 to 1100 rpm you really hear the noise and then it calms down then go back up again if it was constant I may be OK with it but the shift in noise is really irritating.

    Price is high, but other than the care they put into the sound signature you also pay for support. I got 3 of them used for 30€, after a while one of them developed a very slight sound when they went from high to low RPM. I contacted support just to ask if it was a normal sound and they immediately offered to replace them even though they were used, af the time they were three years old.

      LOL.
      i've had the same issue and they ABSOLUTELY didn't want to send me another one.
      They want me to cut fan blade and if i don't do that they won't send me or anything.
      Noctua is a joke, like "can you destroy our product ?" like, the hell is that ?

      @@AquilaeYT what? That's standard, it's an RMA not a random "we're sorry" gift. Break a fan blade and they'll send a replacement. In my case, they sent 3 new fans.

    I could be wrong but i swear this one sounded a bit quieter than the black version in your other video.

      They're pricey, but you do get what you pay for. It also comes with vibration pads with multiple colors. If they sold the Chromax.Black version with just the black vibration pads, then it may have cut down the cost. I bought it for Chromax.Black, not the other color options. I thought that was a strange choice. They should have sold the pads separately.

      $ 120.00 for a kit with 4 Noctua fans and that's worth about $ 30.00 each. Here in Brazil if I take into account the price in dollars the price paid for each would be $ 48.30.
      4 fans = $ 193.20

      @@SakugaAsu In my case it's inhabilitating, I'm a conservatory student and have very sharp hearing. Now I have hearing loss and severe tinnitus with no apparent cause, no sensory hearing loss diagnosed. I always wear earplugs when I play and practice, this is unfair frankly.

    I have a pair of this stuck on a deshrouded Red Dragon 6800XT. They are completely silent under 700 RPM and barely noticeable around 1300 RPM and that's how I set them up. Extremely high build quality and balance of the blades.

    I find even at max RPM, it's not that loud. It has a pleasant tone to it and one of my favorite fans, maybe tied with the T30.

    Thank you for the video. It allowed me to make a comparison with the ones I just bought. Now I know that my fans sound the same between 1000 and 2000 RPM. Unfortunately, the high frequency is a bit too much for my liking. But anyways, I will keep them.

    All the reviews of the Phanteks F120T30 seem to compare it to the Noctua NF-A12x25 at higher fan speeds. I'm generally more interested in the silent speeds. On these videos, I start to hear the Noctua at ~1150 rpm, and the Phanteks at ~850 rpm. I'd be curious to know how the airflow and pressure test compare at those RPMs.

      I think any reviews that test noise-normalised performance will answer your question. Of course, the same noise level will sound different across different models, which is why my videos exist.

    I'm choosing between this and the Phantek T30 for my CPU Cooler. My only focus is noise, as my CPU is an i5-12400f, which is very easy to cool. Which would be better for purely noise reduction? Thanks.

    Are these the best radiator fans in your opinion? i'm looking to replace my horrible ek-vardar fans. I see the NB-eLoop also doing very well in tests for less cost. What is your opinion?

      I personally prefer these over NB-eLoops, but there's probably not a huge difference between them.

      Arctic P14 and Noiseblocker eLoop 140mm are both good, I can vouch for them. The Scythe Kaze Flex 140 and be quiet! Silent Wings Pro 4 140mm also look good but I haven't tried them yet.

    I have this one as a rear fan... And at 1300-1400 rpm i can hear the motor noise we can hear in the video... Is there any fan completely silent below 2000 rpm?

      I don't think you will find any 120mm fan which is completely slient below 2000 rpm, and still moves a useful amount of air.

      @@ydihtty why don't I hear any noise from my watercooling fans? It's written 1900 RPM on System Information Viewer (SIV) of Aorus. Maybe since my watercooling system has two fans it's the sum of the two fans RPM ?

      The rated airflow @ 2000 RPM is 102.1 m^3/h, or 60.1 cfm.
