We are living in an age of anxiety. With uncertainty over jobs, climate change, politics and artificial intelligence, is it any wonder we're facing an epidemic? Buddhist teacher and meditation master Mingyur Rinpoche has first-hand experience of panic attacks and anxiety, and here he explains how he broke through these crippling feelings by doing something unthinkable: embracing them.

I must not forget this ever in my life. It is so clearly explained. Looking forward for my next depression crisis to see what I can learn from it .

Struggling with panic? I can make out from this question that you are impatient and that you want it to be over but in actuality it doesn't go away but becomes a friend. Make yourself accept it for the rest of your life and tell yourself that you can live it with and you can, a normal loving life. I called it a friend because it has taught me so many wonders of this universe that I find it all amazing and makes me a better version. I appreciate this version and I thank my anxiety and panic

I am 24 and I feel like I do not belong in this generation. Everywhere is lust, vulgar stuff is common, and people has normalised some most lustful things. Today's girls and boys mentality are disgusting.
This is the only place that brings peace to me. (Sorry for the negativity)

There are people like you out there, who do not worship pop idols or fantasise with debasing ideas, who are not lustful, arrogant, fame-hungry or demeaning. You are free, the world is what you make of it, emptiness pervades all. Om mani padme hum.

I love it but Im still confuse that Im looking to my sensations and they become stronger I cant breathe so...I can meditate
My breathe is hard chest pain, block in my plexus, horrible...how to do breathing meditation that when Im focus on breathing the pain and heaviness in chest and plexus are more intense
    Please any advise
    Thank you🙏

Daniela Ionescu from my understanding what he’s saying is you have to accept the sensations as they are. By trying to get rid of them they persist and grow stronger. The key is to allow them to be there and not to be afraid of the sensations. Also not to take the sensations to mean there’s real danger.

Hey! Great channel! What do you think he means at 3:44 "The essence of panic, is knowing actually" it is something like awareness is prior to panic?
    Thanks!!

    • @peachgymnastk.v.231

When we see something like a tree for example...we "know" its a tree so essence of seeing is knowing and the person who sees it, who knows it is the real you...the awareness.Awareness is like the space (emptiness) where everything happens
