Say, how do you think the rear cam would perform with limo dark windows? Redtiger thinks it'll be fine but I'm thinking I should downgrade to f7np and use external rear cam
In areas where there is no street or other lighting the rear camera video is very dark. But it does pick up number plates of other vehicles when they are close enough behind you.
Its odd that they chose 30fps 4k instead of 60. The Viofo a329 uses the same imx678 sensor and they manage 60. Hopefully redtiger pushes software updates to add configurable bitrate or a higher framerate, seems like they swung and missed on that front.
@@tech-garage1527 The lack of a polarising lens is something that this camera really needs. It does do a really good job identifying number plates even when the sun is reflecting directly off them. Which is something my other dashcam (Uniden dashview 60R) has a hard time dealing with.
@@Jase583 does the youtube compression take away much quality from what you see on your local files? Or is what we are seeing pretty much the same as what you are?
@@tech-garage1527 I think there is some loss of video quality on UA-cam. It doesn't seem as clear. Also I have noticed that the video seems to jump more on UA-cam than what it does when played from the SD card to the computer. I would really like to try out the Viofo A329 to be able to compare both.
@@scottweinstein4255 no not your imagination. When the dashcam is set at 30fps the video is jerky. I have found that it does a better job When set at 2.5K and 60fps. It is a much smoother video then.

@@Jase583 that’s what i kind of figured, thank you!
@@tech-garage1527 this dashcam really picks up all the reflection and glare off the front and rear windshields.
Interesting it looks like the video is a little jerky in spots. Is it just my imagination?
