- Advanced Certificate in Lifting Operation (ACLO) course is designed to provide essential training and certification for individuals responsible for supervising lifting operations. This course aims to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to oversee lifting activities, ensuring that operations comply with WSH regulations and that risks are managed. ACLO Certification gives opportunity to take 5-Days Appointed person - Lifting Operation Course i.e. higher-responsibility roles and better job opportunities.
ACLO course was conducted on 04 weekends from 12th Oct. till 02nd Nov. 2024. In all, 7 lifting and HSE personnel attended this course. It consist of 4 modules.
Module1 (i.e. Basic Engineering) imparts knowledge about basic engineering concept used in lifting operations such as trigonometry, mechanics, friction, moments, pulley system etc.
Module 2 (i.e. Advanced Rigging) gives in depth insight about the advanced rigging concept such as selection of lifting gears, Centre of Gravity, sling angles and tension force at different inclined angles, interpretation of load charts for different types of cranes.
Module 3 (i.e. Crane siting and ground stability) share about the various ground condition consideration for crane stability, Crane maintenance regime and safety devices.
Module 4 (i.e. Risk Assessment and Lifting Plan) provides hands on practical experience on development of Risk Assessment and comprehensive Lifting Plan.
Practical training provided candidates opportunity to learn about the inspection of different types of lifting gears and hands on application of lifting plan at the crane yard.
