Welcome! If you've been recommended here and enjoy the video give it a thumbs up, subscribe, and check out the highlight videos from each tournament for more! 👍 Thanks for watching!
Hey I was interested by this recommendation, first time ever watching this sport, I would like to know if there's a way to better understand how players get the points and how those points are added. Nice sport btw
@@jcamilosv4447 Hey Juan! Scoring in disc golf is much like ball golf. So if a hole is a par 3, if you throw it in after 2 throws, then you scored a birder or -1. If you had 3 throws, then you made par. If you had 4 throws then you made bogey. And so on. Even though I think this video is directed towards kids, it explains alot in just 5 minutes. ua-cam.com/video/IAnJEZRG_Jk/v-deo.html
Its a super fun sport. Hopefully there is a course near you and you can get out and play some!
Hey bros video coverage and production are amazing : keep going 😎😍
This is 1000x easier to watch than regular golf
Thanks for watching! 👍
shut your fooking mouth.
100% agree this is fun to watch I like the guys covering the tournament
It's the production value. These guys are doing a great job.
This is now regular "Golf". The other game is Ball Golf ;)
I never knew this was ever a thing and I have just watched over an hour of it.
Thanks for watching! 👍
same
Yea haha same :) and what a finale
saaaame
same
*me*: lol disc golf, what a dumb sport!
*me 20 minutes later*: man...Wysocki's gonna have to pick it up if he wants a shot at the title
SAME.
LOL, me too. I was totally absorbed after about 3 minutes.
It's like normal golf only seemlingly not a sport reserved for douchebags.
So true xDDD
Straight Facts!
my fvorite part was around the 20 minute mark when they used that "follow flight" trail feature on all four shots. very cool, the production quality of this is way higher than i expected
18:23
Real talk dude
But then again... What were you expecting? LOL
Can we all take a minute to appreciate the fact that Emerson Keith had the guts to put on such a great a performance from the underdog position? What a story. Congrats on being a father.
Do we know yet? Boy or Girl? Congrats.
no, we can't.
@@james1x1x1x1 You must be a joy at parties
Yeah it was cool but they were milking the baby thing too much. She’s due in two weeks not two days. I mean I understand, I have two kids myself but come on.
@@Dexecute. You must be the Virtue Signaler
Also, anyone else feel these announcers have the most soothing voices ever? I could fall asleep to this if it wasn’t so cool.
I use this to take naps to.
I nap too these, then watch them again later.
It’s the iconic slow and calm North Carolina voice. - NC native
I’ve spent an hour watching frisbee golf.
I’m in.
I’m a fan.
You’ve got me hooked
Nice! Thanks for watching! We covered another tournament this past weekend: ua-cam.com/play/PLZ1LrAadOyA0rYoO8bx9tDneZSNW-Ng6b.html
Yea it’s crazy first time watching to and I’m cheering for Ricky I don’t know who he is or anything but he’s fighting hard but Paul just wont let Ricky win lol crazy game you got another fan Ricky #1
@@MrBlackghost34 Same situation no idea who he is or how I ended up watching this but Ricky is ma boy haha
@@MrBlackghost34 Yea, I'm all about Ricky. Loved that he went for it hard on the final hole, and just pushed all round. That unlucky roll OB kept him from the tie, and I guess a playoff?
DISC GOLF!
This showed up in my recommendations this morning. I saw it and was like “huh , frisbee golf this is going to be boring.” But I was very wrong. The production quality is great and very professional. The commentary from these two has the vibe of PGA but makes it digestible for people who are new to the sport. You have made a fan out of me boys. Never has a UA-cam recommendation inspired me so much to start playing a sport. Thank you 🤙
Did you start playing? I hope you did!
Awesome man, just wait till you start playing and see how much more hooked you are then (if you havent already) and if you want to become clinically addicted, wait till you hit your first ace haha
Justin, have you been playing disc golf??
2 years later I hope you started playing
This year's worlds has been such an incredible ride. Let's all take a minute to heartily thank everyone at Jomez, BigSexy, everyone at PDGA, the tournament crew, and obviously the competitors. Thank you.
.
For sure! Jomez and BigSexy is the best by far!
Thanks my brothers!🐶😊
cheers. PDGA/Jomez is just spitting out some gorgeous coverage and content. Thanks so much to all involved.
I'm an old timer who loves the fact I've seen Ken Climo play in person during his consecutive worlds streak 7 years before UA-cam even existed. This year I discovered modern Disc Golf coverage here and got back into following the professionals for the first time in decades. I got to watch Paul and G.G. sling it at the CCR open this summer, so now I've seen both GOAT candidates play in person 20 years apart. What a thrill!
Yes, there are far more courses, there is far better equipment, way more people involved both spectating and competing as players. Yes, modern-day immortals can afford to practice more and better and travel in comparative luxury. True, none of the top echelon has to work construction and crash on friends' couches on the road. Paul is still every bit as good when factoring in all these things that don't make the comparison apples to apples. You aren't going to hear a lot of people from my era admit it, but it's true.
I get the same feeling watching Paul step up to make a throw that I used to get watching Ken Climo with a door opening. For example, when Ron Russell's drive slipped out of his hand on the last hole at the 1999 DGLO, you could see on Climo's face he was going to step on the tee and lace the flex shot on Hudson Mills Monster #18 with absolute precision and win the tournament. And of course, he did. It was inevitable, time and again, when he shot he was going to do it surgically.
Paul has the same gravitas, and he dominates the same year as a complete bag overhaul with ten times as many quality competitors. It's truly amazing.
I'm so glad to be back caring about this as a spectator sport and it's ALL due to Jomez. Kudos!
What a great perspective. Thank you.
SE Michigan player here. Great words, and awesome flashback moment.
Same man. Loved watching this coverage. I played in my first disc golf tournament in 2008. I was the youngest player there by far and I got dead last but I didn’t sink any in the water at least. I looked up to Ken Climo and wanted all the discs he reviewed on Innova.
I took my girlfriend out disc golfing this past week for her first time and she was not half bad and kinda liked it. Ultimate really exploded at my school but never disc golf. Congrats to all the players.
This is something I love about the disc golf community. I started playing about two years ago and I feel like all of the "old timers" I've played with are more than willing to share stories and experiences from the pre coverage days. I love the idea that so many age groups and lifestyles can enjoy watching, playing and discussing the same activity. Keep growing the sport. Cheers
The audio is 1-2 seconds early. Thanks for the great coverage
Love Jomez, but this is really annoying...
No way! Jomez doesn't mess up...
They just need a spoiler alert if commentary is on alert..
Commentary audio is off. The footage audio is synced
It's not the WHOLE audio track, just the commentary, specifically. And it isn't the whole time, either. I noticed it at 24.20: JUST before Paul releases the disc, both commentators react to the shot missing the basket.
My guess? Something in the commentator's recording was edited out (a sneeze or something, maybe) in Premiere or FCP, and the newly created cut "snapped" back to the previous edit because their editor hasn't slept in a week, or twitched their hand to the next piece of work before letting their hand off of the LMB.
Cut em some slack, I say. They have a crazy hard job and an absolutely insane production schedule for something that was, until very recently, largely a passion project. That being said, this is something I've seen on a couple of Jomez uploads at this point. Perhaps disabling "snapping clips" would be wise moving forward, if that's the source of the problem. All major NLEs should have the option to disable it.
I've never seen a disc golf video that was this well composed. You guys rock!
Thanks for watching mate! 👍
Ricky playing the perfect aggressive B9, Paul playing the perfect safe B9 to end up winning by one shot. Neither of these players can get enough praise for their performance on this B9, honestly perfect.
DonMeta Paul plays safe and shoots a 1070 rated round. Unreal
@@colw07 Ahah yeah, he's something special
Honestly, I clicked on this because I had no idea what the hell Disc Golf was and thought it would be a bit of a laugh. Now I want to watch more! I'ts bloody amazing! LOL
Try playing it.
Paul McBeth is good at disc golf.
In other news, water is also wet...
Yeah he's okay
He is good because he is SOOO good.
Is he or is the competition mentally soft? He is...
he's good at the frisbee throwing
Frisbee game in my feed
Me: Lol.. who plays frisbee. Let's just watch 2 trick shots and close.
Me after an hour: Man, Ricky has to take risks and play aggressive if he wants close in on Paul, which he could.
That Emerson kid has shown spirit and recovered so well. Much better than my grades
Randomly came across this on my feed. Didn’t think I’d enjoy it so much. 1 week later, I’ve watched over 10 of these 30+ min videos from JomezPro. Love it.
Welcome to our crazy game! Get some discs if you haven’t already. Such a great game
Fantastic commentators make this entertaining as well as relaxing
One month ago, I wouldn’t have imagined being so emotionally involved in any sport. Now, I am legitimately invested in every stroke. Great commentary and great channel here.
Don't know how this ended up on my feed, but, I watched the whole frickin thing! ;)
At first I thought to myself: "pffft! Disc golf. What is that, mate?"
By hole 15: "OMG! it's so close between Paul and Ricky!
Come on, Emerson! Keep ya chin up, mate! Yoo can doooweet!"
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it lol
Awesome Sport I never knew about it! Thank you for the videos :)
You're the knife guy
Ok, the quadruple follow flight was so awesome!
Zach Fawver yes! the editing is so professional
Came here because of curiosity, stayed because of the production quality!
LOVE the multiple shot tracks on 14! You guys are doing a great job!
Had a tear in my eye after Paul finished the round. What a journey these players went on together. So many emotions for everyone. Great job Jomez with your commentary. Spectacular work from everyone involved. Time to go practice my putts!
Great Job Jomez on this successful year. It started out rough but you endured. Cheers.
This channel is without a doubt the best disc gold coverage channel on youtube!! My hats off to you Mr. Jomez!! Thank you for putting out incredible coverage of all the major disc golf tourneys!!
Hole 16 green "uhhhh over the top"... some time passes... the putter does indeed go over the top :D #OuttaSync
Thanks for the awesome footage as always Jomez! =)
"great come back shot"
*nails come back shot
proof that this is all rigged. I can't think of any other explanation.
The commentary is so good, that they know the outcome just from watching the wind-up.
Thought it was just me😂
3 years ago I watched this on a whim from my recommendations. Now disc golf is a staple of my life. Wild how that happens
McBeth is the GOAT! What an amazing run by Rick with that kind of pressure. It is the year of 5X! Congrats to both champs.
This is the first time that I've ever watched this stuff. Love it!
Thanks for watching 👍
What a huge evolution of coverage for disc golf. Incredibly well done all week!
I didn't even know Disc Golf existed, but I'm glad that it does.
Its been around for a long time, just never any notoriety. I hate golf and even more so I can't stand watching it. I can watch disc golf all day lol
Don't know why, found this hella relaxing to watch. Such great production for a low-key kinda sport
Cheers Rhodri thanks for watching!
@@JomezPro NO worries, going to have to go buy a disc now!
This is my first time watching disc golf. Very glad UA-cam decided to recommend it to me a few days ago.
Really enjoy your production value. You make it very easy to follow, even for someone who has never played the game before.
I’m so hard up for DG content I’m watching this again 3 months later. Still pretty intense even knowing how it ends.
I forgot how it ends so it’s like watching it again for the first time lol
This might really be my new fav channel
Thank for watching!
Wow great final. The audio got off after the quad follow flight, witch was awesome btw, but still great coverage. Thanks Jomez and crew. Congrats to all the players.
no it didnt.
dude77313 The sound did not go away, think it is your equipment something is wrong with.
@@TheButcher83 I think he means out of place which you can clearly hear after minute 24 that's it's not in sync
Escrow Large Ahh okay yeah then it makes sense.
Commentary was amazing and calming! First time watching professional frisbee and I will sure come back for more!
This was great! Never watched disc golf but I did it. Professional but also doesn’t take itself too seriously. I like how the announcers laugh and make little jokes here and there. Respect disc golf, well done.
Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed it.
The sound on these broadcasts always have the announcers ahead of the video. Please sync these up better. Otherwise, you guys do a great job!
Yeah. Frustrating. We know they're recorded after the fact, but get the editing in sync or it ruins the feel of spontaneity.
Agreed. Everything else is great but it makes putts annoying.
nothing inspires me more to go out and play than these guys. wow!!!
Yes, but I'd hate to play with them. The constant embarrassment would shame me. And they'd get tired of me taking twice as many shots as them.
Rewatching this because a) I was there for this amazing round and b) because we didn’t have worlds this year due to covid. Really looking forward to the 2021 disc golf season and 2021 worlds.
Also, it’s so amazing seeing all the great comments here from people that had never watched professional disc golf but are now fans thanks to this great Jomez production.
I feel really entertained about a sport I did not know existed and enjoyed the great way it has been arranged with the TV and graphics setup and what a beautiful area they play. I have already become a big fan now. 😊👍🏼
Long time fan of disc golf, but didn't know this level of production was out there. Props to Jomez... amazing film, editing and graphics.
Just think tho......
What if Ricky put that in?
Maybe, the greatest moment ever in disc golf.
Albert Cibelli if he hit it, it would have been amazing. If he hit it forced a playoff and won I think my head would explode. No way that dont make ESPN!
I hope he doesn’t read this
i think paul would've went for the basket instead of laying up next to it though. but maybe he misses that who knows. anyways that would've been sick to see
Ahhhh yes...the hypotheticals, they’re so much fun.
@@yoshimoto23 Yeah paul seems to nail semi jump puts in the clutch. And as much as I would love a playoff, Ricky got a lucky break when he gained 3 strokes on paul over a drive that really wasn't that different, and also some lucky skips and no-skips, so it would have frustrated me some tbh, does that fence hole (yeah im too lazy to figure out which hole it is) really have to have OB long? and not only long but maybe half way into circle two? It already has so much that makes for huge swings, and even though paul crossed in bounds which usually missed drives don't do on that hole (thats what justifies there being a drop zone) and he can't play from where he barely skipped OB so he gets taken maybe 300 ft out with a narrow landing strip.
This is irrelevant, my point is that I think Paul played better the final round as well as rounds 1-3 and I think it was clear that he deserved to win with well executed safe shots and a lead that should have been more comfortable.
It's amazing what Ricky did that last round, but his shots were far from textbook and weren't always what he was going for, I think Paul executed better and Ricky had nothing to lose in that last round knowing that he isn't playing for 3rd place or worse
Thanks, again, for the awesome coverage. You guys have really upped the quality of the production in the last few years and brought new validity to an awesome sport. I've been an amateur, at best, for decades and had a difficult time finding quality coverage and instructional vids. It is pretty rad that I can put this on around the house and it is much more entertaining than watching any NBC Sports Golf coverage. You guys are definitely capturing new audiences and elevating the player field; it is great watching the pros!
Never clicked on a video so fast in my life!
Jacob Major for real man
Who else was brought back because of the covid-19 outbreak? 😷🤷🏽♂️
Me!!
@@terablair628 i just finished re-watching every round. It's 5am :,)
Same.
first jomez video i put on tv for my family to watch, great coverage as always!
Great Job Jomez. Thank you editors, camera crew, commentators, everyone, for all the time and effort you have put in over the course of this tournament, without your coverage there is no way we Australians would be able to see this kind of event. From this disc golf fan all the way on the other side of the world thank you.
Congratulations Mr 5 time champion. Hell of a run Ricky. Get well soon Jerm. Love the coverage Jomez.
Not a clue why this was suggested to me by youtube and i was not going to watch it cause i have never really been interested in Disc Golf. Thanks to this i have watched the whole match and really enjoyed it, LOL. This is really kicks ass and is a blast to watch, i even got into it and caught myself bitching when they missed shots and went out of bounds.Subbed
Holy crap, Ricky really put something magical together in those last two rounds, that was amazing to watch
Oh my Lord. I can't even describe the excitement. Amazing run for Ricky! Thank you Jomez!!!!!!!
I used to love disc golf on the ps3 using the move controllers, and 6 months ago they just openend a disc golf course near me. I think I am catching the disc golf bug!
Thank you Jomez and all who help. Disc golf owes you so much
Me “wtf is disc golf” 30 minutes later dam it Ricky your gonna have to go for it if you want that title
Thanks for watching! Our 2020 season just started check out our latest vids!
Amazing coverage, amazing commentary, and most certainly amazing play by these players. One big thank you to the Jomez team for their work, glad to be a patron.
Well I've enjoyed this and the front 9 video much more than I ever thought I would. Commentators were brilliant. Subbed and looking forward to more
Awesome, thanks for watching!!
Great job BigSexy creating anticipation and storyline without giving away any spoilers in the commentary. That can't be easy and it is appreciated!
Great job Jomez, and congratulations to the McBeast yet again!
The announcer's monologue from 5:45 through 6:40 is crazy heartwarming. That made me happy.
Crazy that Ricky was even in contention by the end of this thing after the first 3 rounds. Hats off to an amazing performance by him and congrats to 5 time world champ McBeast.
Incredibly good work covering this. Earned a subscriber
One of the best worlds I've seen! Go Emerson, looking forward to seeing you in many final 9's! Great job Paul!
The editing and production on this is nothing short of top shelf.
Thanks so much Eddie! 👍👍
Full disclosure I've never watched this sport before. I knew it existed cuz I have a few friends that play casually. But this is the freaking jam!!! Half way thru the front 9 I was jumping and screaming cheering Ricky for a come back. I'm totally hooked on this now. Awesome coverage too this was real deal excitement
You should try playing sometime.
Wow, just wow. What an emotional roller coaster! The fact that Ricky was even a contender after the first 3 rounds is nothing short of miraculous. A heartbreaking front 9 for Emerson Keith but his recovery on the back showed so much heart. Congrats to James as well for really stepping things up when it counted. And finally, thank you to Jomez and BigSexy for the world class coverage.
Greatest run and battle! Congrats to Mcbeast for the win!
Congrats to Ricky for the course record!
Awesome commentary and video. This is some high-quality stuff. I've played disc golf a few times. Kept my interest the entire time. This is put together very well, thanks!
Thanks for watching Chris!
This coverage is blessed, shoutout to Jomez and their whole crew!
Incredible event, intense battles and great coverage. Thank you Jomez 🤝
Thanks Jomez! I'm feeling all of this incredible emotion all the way from Australia. Congrats to Paul and props to Ricky for that awesome (almost) comeback! :D
I'm not gonna lie. I have tears in my eyes.

Other than some audio issues, you provided some amazing coverage. Thank you Jomez Pro.
Never watched disc golf before but i feel for that Ricky guy man you can hear how upset he was about losing when he was so close to tying for 1st
Thanks for watching!
I got chills along with Big Jerm. That was an incredible battle, and I'm super happy for Paul to have gotten a 5th title! Thanks Jomez!
Really enjoyed ☺ Never knew this sport existed. Found it easier to watch than traditional golf.
Just an all out battle to the very end. Congrats to McBeth on another title. Jomez came through with the killer coverage...as always. Thank you guys for always hooking us up. We are forever grateful.
Ok I just watch a whole tournament of the sport I have never known before. The commentary only makes it better.
Thanks for watching!
I love seeing the comments Of people discovering the beautiful game of Disc Golf ☺️
Yeah they either love it or hate it 😂
Great Vid guys, i wish i could of been there, but with yall help i was ! cant wait until the next one !!
Coverage matched the level of competition; Pros all. Well done everyone.
Cool sport...First time watching pros play it, but played once in Fairmount park, here in philly about 25 years ago, Tough game!
I live in NE Philly. They've expanded Sedgley Woods in Fairmount to 27 holes and it's still a great time. They've also built 2 very high end courses just across the bridge in Jersey.
Wow, the absolute madlads did it, they provided the best coverage and commentary of the most exciting and nail biting round of disc golf in a long time. Ricky damn near pulled off the infected finger comeback, but ice cold McBeth held him off just long enough to win. Is this McDonalds... cuz ba da ba da da I'm LOVIN it!
This production is phenomenal.
Back when I was in high school, one of the baseball coaches who I played for (who I actually coach along side now) had us watch this and keep a score card for our final lol. Best teacher ever!
clicked on the F9 vid from my recommended, thought i would laugh and leave after a couple minute's, wound up watching all 18 hole's, on the edge of my seat.

Can we all take a moment to appreciate how far Paul has come in one year? From getting tie for second place in the 2019 Winter Time Open to winning and getting an 18 under par for the 2019 Waco Annual Charity Open and finally his 5th World title after three years WHILE learning a new plastic/mold from a new sponsor that began this year! I understand that a lot comes from experience, but I feel that this is a testament to the true potential of Paul McBeth.
Man, I didn't know this was a thing but I was hooked. I was hoping Ricky would make that last shot.
my girlfriend and I went from watching this to make fun of it, to unironically watching cause we were actually invested. Awesome production value. The drone shots really gave us the wii sports golf vibes.
