Hey guys. Sad news today as this is officially the last HoN Top 5 Plays of the Week. The developers said the servers were closing down today, and they meant it. People cannot login anymore.
Going forward, it seems unlikely that there'll be a viable way to play HoN. HoN was a great game. But what really made HoN enjoyable were the people we played with. I encourage you to reach out to the closest friends you've made in HoN and stay in touch with them, maybe even find a new game to play.
As for myself, I've had most of my friends go to either LoL or Dota 2. I think Dota 2 is the most similar to HoN, so I'll be giving it a shot by creating some Dota 2 Top Plays videos. They're probably not gonna be very good, especially at the start, but I'll be making them anyway because it's fun. If you want to help out and be part of it, you can send plays through the link in the video description.

Yes agreeable it was fun ride with HoN, and felt the bad part was they didnt forsee another game to upgrade themselves, and due to that most of the players went over, and HoN didnt try to continue to pace up which is very sad.
Also thank you for all the video contents for the past years, its not easy to maintain the feed of this consistently over the time. It has been a run for 11 years at least.
That is the end of an era. 13 years and thousands of rounds later, it feels like losing an old friend. Good game and well played HoN, I personally cannot replace you.
I haven't played a single game of HoN. But I used to be a wc3 player and I feel the way u feel rigth now. It's all about that moment, that single moment you realize a huge chapter of your life is coming to an end. A chapter with thousands of moments. I am sure HoN was something more than a game for you. Maybe even better than a friend. It was there for you when you were feeling anxious or sad about real life problems. It was there for you when everything went fine and u still wanted to chill and have fun playing your favorite game, having some of the best time of your life. We, gamers of past games, understand each other. But you know what? These kind of games will never be removed from our memories. I will always carry all the memories. At the end of the day, they are a part of me. They played a huge role to form my character and who I am today. Thanks for reading it. Cheers to the good old days

hon has been dead for years already. ever since the CIS and NA/EU merger.
Dota2 is so much better overall. Switched back in 2019 and never regretted it

I remember back when I had just started playing HoN and I stumbled upon the Top 5 Plays of the week. Just like BreakyCPK casting over at HoNcast, it quickly became something to look forward to each and every week.
Never did I think that I would some day pick up the torch and make these weekly highlights of HoN. But here I am after over 100 episodes made and no more to come... It feels weird that this is the end, but at the same time I'm happy to have been part of it.
A big thank you to Ninja and the rest of the Scumbag team for inspiring me to make my own content and in the end making me a part of the team! Thanks to everyone who's watched and supported us through all these years. It's always such a confidence booster watching all the positive comments

I was in the bus today returning to my home, and saw a cafe internet which still has the HoN logo painted outside in the most beautiful and detailed way, i didn't realized how much people loved this game.

It is very sad to realize that the game that I spent half of my life with (I am now 26) is gone.
I still remember the moment when I saw a strange icon in the garena, clicked on it, and HON began to download from me. How surprised I was when I found out that there is a reconnect in this game.
My first game was as an engineer, and since that game, I got hooked on hon, and have been playing for 13 years now with breaks.
In this game, I met a bunch of interesting people from different countries, with whom I still keep in touch.
I went to this game when I had relationship problems, where I spent almost all my free time, and disconnected from all problems.
Now I'm 26, I have a son and my own business, but I still go into this game and play for fun. And I want to cry because I lost such a close friend. HON will always hold a special place in my heart.
PS, for 6 years now I have not tried to play anything except HON. And I'm not likely to start.
P.P.S. Developers, I ask you to give at least some chance to return to your beloved and dear Newerth...
seeing all these plays and outplays reminded me back in the days when ive played with my brothers and our friends. totally memorable and HoN really does played an important part of my life. and thanks for all those top plays sir. glad i was featured in one of your video too which that was long way ago.

Thanks for all the videos you guys have created over the years, I remember back in 2010 when me and my friends where in school watching your video every week and afterwards checking what heroes would be available for free that week. I have played on and off since then and I even came together with my friends yesterday to play some last games together.
I will support you if you make DOTA 2 videos since I’m going to try to get in to it even if I know it’s never going to be the same.

End of an era, this game got me through my high school and university, the graphics and mechanics at that time was the best among others.

I will always remember this game. I played beta with my bros and close friends and continued until a few years ago. Thanks Scumbag for all the memories. The nostalgia from the music in your vids and its ability to transport me back to memories I thought I had long forgotten is unreal. I remember watching your vids with my bros and friends and getting hyped to play good games to emulate some of the skills and builds featured in your vids.
I haven't been playing much because of work and soccer lately, but I never got so "addicted" to game before or after HoN. Good bye HoN, it is really the end of an era. I will particularly miss playing Dampeer, Pred, Swfitblade, Bomardier, Deadwood, Chipper, Prisoner, Gaunt, and my favorite, Devo

With hon ending and everything, i would like to say that i played like 20 matches of this game in total, but i was always here because of your edits, passion and humour, of course. I always thought that hon and dota were too difficult to play so i never spent much time playing them, but the game is so funny and cool to watch with heroes like silhouette and rally. Thanks for everything and i hope you continue doing videos of some other moba or whatever you want to do, i will continue to support this channel, i hope this ain't a goodbye.

I made scumbag top 5 once, like 10 years ago. Installed the game and played it the very last 2 days strait for the last hurrah. Best moba hands down. Hopefully one day there will be a HoN 2.

Christmas HoN was my favorite season. i miss being a kid and enjoying christmas with HoN
I think its sad that the devs didnt provide any way that a 3rd party could start hosting on a private server.... its really disappointing. I would also like to express my appreciation for you scumbags. You could’ve jumped ship to any of the competitors but you sticked with HoN.
It really is such a sad turn of events. I have this strange feeling, like I lost my best friend. It’s been such a wild ride it feels unreal that they actually pulled the plug. I will always love HoN and will always remember it. It helped me through some really tough times in my life.
HoN was simply too ahead of its’ time. It’s unfortunate this massive potential was driven into the ground by poor decision making and management.
