Great carb. I think he has made the move to Smart Carb now. They were experimenting with tuning for a while and I think they got to where they wanted to be.
@@motovalleyenduro Yes, Smart carb contacted me and I've been testing one in Australia (I admin several Facebook Sherco owners pages) It's certainly as good as the Keihin now down at the bottom end and is a good product. They charge a fair price for it too in the USA. Unfortunately, for a retail purchase here in Australia, the price is prohibitive.
@@motovalleyenduro we're feeling really good about the setup now. Cody won King of the Motos on Sunday with the SmartCarb due in large part to a fuel efficiency strategy whereby he skipped the final fuel stop, ditching Trystan Hart and Ryder Leblond going into the last lap. The minute+ advantage, along with being out of sight, allows him to push for the win - 48 seconds ahead of P2.
I have lower pegs but like to know bar position in triple clamp holes and if a higher bend bar is used...6ft and I'm always playing with my ergos to feel comfortable standing...😢
He had this in a video awhile back. He was testing the smart carb but ultimately decided to stay with a well tuned keihin carb due to the snappier delivery for clearing obstacles when needed.
@@markm4656 Not sure where you're getting your information, but we installed the SmartCarb not 10 minutes after this video was filmed at Grinding Stone in Page, AZ and Cody has been competing with it all season. The SmartCarb outperforms a dialed Keihin bottom to top, especially with our new enduro spec D-F series metering rods developed in close partnership with Sherco USA.
3:12 I notice Cody runs the Keihin carb on his bike. Good to see the factory carb is good enough to race with.

Most of these guys still use lower bars without much rise to get into a good attack position. Bar position neutral and in line with the front fork.
Beautiful

Awesome season
