I personally do not like Saddler at all in the remake. Saddler in the original was charismatic and ACTUALLY a mastermind in that he just wanted power and wealth, using anyone as pawns and he showed it with how posh he'd speak. He also had such a disdain for America(ns). This Saddler actually believes the nonsense he's spewing and it just felt like... well... "a world of cliches". I admit, the cult was better, but OG Saddler was far more of a megalomaniac, and it allowed Leon and him to actually talk like... well, people. Rather than the remake who lost his marbles completely that there could be no banter.
Original one as if he understands how the world works, complaining the how ridiculously unfair the world had become and how much dirty work must be involved in accomplishing one’s fortune and success, he also despised and kinda tired of the hypocrisy of the world became (in his eye)especially America, which gave him enough motive to threaten for world domination, so that he was doing everything he could for the sake of power, control and status. If we try to dig into saddler village which had been isolated from the rest of the Spain, their living standard technology didn’t meet the normal 2005 standard at all, famine, disease and stuff like always happen, you have to understand they were suffering people even infants were dying, the incentive was sufficient to drive people like Osmunda Saddler to challenge the world. The new one just lack of these apart from the cult part.

I don't understand why Capcom censors the transformations of the bosses in their new games, which also happens in the Revillage where something always happens in the environment so that we don't see the mutations of the leaders

The remakes version is more haunting towards Leon and is truly a monster who exploited those poor villagers and destroyed their history for his own gain. Shows why resident evil 4 worked so well, or hell the series up to that point. The Spencer mansion, to the raccoon city police department all had history that was destroyed by corruption and Greed.

I hate how they turned Lord Saddler into a generic religious cult leader villain whose only personality is "muh accept the gift". In the OG RE4 he had an actual personality and motivations. He also had an amazing and funny banter with Leon. Now its all gone. The remake Saddler is definitely the most boring RE villain in the whole series. Crowbcat was right when he called this game soulless. It's still fun and great game on its own but soulless compared to the original game.

Now in the OG he looked so human other than his strange eyes, that the moment you saw something come out of his body it was like seeing a freak show. In the OG what unsettled me was how psychopathic he was, saddler clearly didn't believe in the holy plaga BS at all he was a man trying to control the world by any means and would kill anyone without a doubt he had no compassion or empathy, he was always so calm and collected, Vs the remake the news saddler actually looks like he buy Into his Spiritul bull crap, he gets angry and flustered, just like any human, and that makes him like most other Villains, no longer does he have those cold dead eye of his, his seemingly normal human apparents with his inhuman like quality.

Plus the fight with Salazar is FILLED with dialogue. Leonn and Salazar are literally discussing how they kill each other, which is pathetic. Another point is Saddler. in the original he looks very much like a Final boss, everything is perfect. Alsothe fight with Ada. However in the Remake the final boss Cutscene lacks the jumpscare, in which Saddler transforms, aandn an eye comes outof his mouth. Also WHY the fuck does Saddler have mold on his head instead of Hair. And the WORST part. He lost his ACCENT!!! WHYYY !!!!! Capcom for fucks sake
