Thanks for tasting our Danish gourmet liquorice! It might take trying a few different flavours to discover the love, but we think there’s a liquorice lover in everyone. 😉🖤 All the best from our factory just outside Copenhagen!
I'll have to buy more, tried the sampler on Amazon... seeing the sour starberry now as me feeling like I missed out. Salmiak was intense and awesome though.
I sent these in and am a bit surprised at the mostly positive reactions considering how black licorice has gone over on other videos. I'm glad they brought such joy and nostalgia to Grainne. I'm two for two now with samples sent and positive reactions. There's two more on the way...
Send them to me! I will lie to you and tell you I hate them and make Irish faces! Also Snøfler. I hate them too! and Labre larver! Pthuii..What's laber about them? And don't get me started about Tom's Guldbarre!!
When Pagan first showed up on the channel full of sunshine and enthusiasm I remember some commenters were saying it was a matter of time before the disgusting food/shots wore her down. Here we are countless videos down the road and she's still sunshine and enthusiasm. Congratulations on not letting Sean and Colin win, Pagan
@@JackBarrett7no crush, just appreciation for the energy she brings. The same way I appreciate Ciara being the embodiment of chaotic neutral or Dermot's mastery of comedic self-deprecation.
@SteveHarrellRally So aside from a creeper you fancy yourself a student of creative writing, eh? I should've guessed it. There's a reason intelligent people do not try to advertise and only the tragically simple ever do. Good luck.
The camaraderie and timing that Dermot and Colin have developed over their time at Try is just pure comic gold. The way the ended the "sour is Dermot's thing" was spot on. Respect and appreciate you all so much. Thank you all.
The facial expressions of Dermot, LOL! As a Swede, my jaw dropped when Taran and Justine said they had never tasted salmiak before. Those are words that nobody has ever said in Sweden
I don't know who in Sweden decided to make djungelvrål and export them but I love them for that. The dopamine kick you get when you lick all the salmiak off, when you have three or four in the mouth at the same time, is amazing.
@@TheMissnola they are nice but I still crave something stronger. funny since I cant even have pepper on my food. as a Dane my love for licorice is in my blood.
@@valkoharja It IS salty liquorice, that’s seriously what it means. If it isn’t salty then it’s not salmiakki. It’s not rocket science and yet you fail so bad at it. Are you American or what? XD
I don't understand why so many people dislike liquorice as much as they do, I've always enjoyed it even when I was a kid. I'm going to order some of these Danish treats to enjoy. Happy New Year from New Jersey!
Massive fan of liqourice but Australia/NZ doesn't salt it like they do in other countries. I've had some Scandinavian liqourice that was way too hardcore salty.
I unironically love this stuff. I get their advent calendar every year, and a favorite flavor is a flavor that got a recent resurgence last Halloween the sea buckthorn flavor
I just discovered this brand literally a few weeks ago and I am OBSESSED. Especially for the first one, the trick is to let it melt in your mouth instead of biting right away.
I love salt licorice. We had a specialty shop in our small town when we were growing up. We were there every week buying a bag of them. Thanks from Canada
I was raised on black licorice, both my grandmother on my dads side and my grandfather on my moms side LOVED it. So it doesn't disgust me as much as it does others, that being said, I have had these and they AWESOME!!
Ok, so this knowledge will show how many TRY videos I have watched since the beginning, but I remember Justine wearing that same blouse when she did her first (I think) licorice video with Paul aka "Irish Jesus", and spit out every piece, and how many years later, she was able to enjoy every piece. The TRY channel breaks you! Breaks you I tell ya 😂
Salmiak it's NOT salty licorice and it's NOT regular salt. It is Ammonium Chloride, used beside licorice to "taste" salty without having destroying the osmotic respiration for the cells=Dehydration. //Half Danish/Swedish
Dermot and Colin's first reaction to the passion fruit ones reminded me of the brothers from A Night at the Roxbury every time they tried asking someone to dance at the club. Lmao 😂😂😂
I cannot comprehend the Irish dislike for liquorice. I'm not Scandinavia but love the stuff. Even the salty ones. Get past that salt and the liquorice hits you. Incredible.
Happy New Year, Try gang!! I believe I was the first viewer on this first day of 2025! May your taste buds stay strong and your content keep us smiling! Keep up the fantastic work!
You know what you all need to do: whiskey and chocolate, *together*. Take a bite of chocolate, keep it in your mouth, then take a sip of whiskey and let the chocolate dissolve into the whiskey, then enjoy. It's delicious. It works best with an American Bourbon, like Woodford Reserve. You could do a shoot where you try different combinations of chocolates and whiskeys: dark chocolate, milk chocolate, flavored chocolate, caramel filled chocolate, American bourbon, American rye whiskey, Canadian whiskey, etc... Guaranteed to make Tryers happy, and who doesn't want to see that. Hell, you could even try it with tequila or vodka if you want to see people make faces. Whiskey and chocolate has been my go-to after-work treat these days. Give it a try!
Bülow’s advent calender is the ONLY one I would ever consider buying for myself, but then again I’m a fellow Scandi (Swedish). Sooner or later the rest of the world will catch up and understand the greatness of lakrits.
I can't believe you guys ate those things. So impressive. I say as someone that hates licorice though. Bravo to all of you for getting through this. I wouldn't be able to do that for sure.
Late to the party but still here to dance to that ol' Al Gore rhythm.... Lovely folks - if I were a few years younger I wouldn't be the age I am now I tells ya!

OMG!... If only they could get muppets to guest star, and pair 1 Muppet with 1 tryer. That would be an amazing episode lol@@runekarlsen9295

I hate salty stuff and I hate licorice. I guess that’s one of the Nordic traits not passed onto me. My mom, on the other hand, loves licorice.
Salmiakki is not ”salty licoriche”. It’s one of the dumbest translations ever penned, and sets people up with the wrong expectations.

Happy New Year Tryers and fans
Happy New Year to you and the people you love and who love you too✨🌟
Happy New Year, Tryers! Love from Canada!
I want to see a shoot where the Tryers try powdered survival food. The idea of someone like Niall eating reconstituted scrambled eggs is (giggles)
That video already exists. It's Irish people try MRE
@peeker3000 that's military food. It is not powdered survivalist food.
I can think of three grocery stores I can walk into right now and find powdered scrambled eggs under survivalist food.
Dermot and Colin are the best duo. They have great timing and seem like they can play off each other so well! ❤
I feel like they could do a whole comedy hour, and i'd watch it.
Happy New Year! 🥳

But try and give the Icelandic stuff a chance aswell, they are lovely!

Now I want to see Dermot singing habanero as De Niro

That was very funny, thanks
Grainne being 6 years old again. Good for you, girl. I, too, love licorice and would like to try these.

Happy New Year 🎉🎉 from Pennsylvania!! 🎉🎉Adore you all!
Happy New Year to all the tryers
the sour strawberry made Dermot do a Robert De niro impression LOL. Great video
Not just a De Niro impression, a GOOD De Niro impression!
I love the fact that Justine H and Gra are roomies!

Did I hear that Grainne and Justine live together? Was that a casual insertion of TRY lore?
There have been many Try roommates or couples before. This is a new tibit of info to me though, also.
