Vids a week and I’m just so depressed
A6000 and A6600 - for the type of videos I make (cooking, close ups, a lot of smoke and steam) manual focus works best. I've used the touch tracking a couple of times too and it works great and when using it on people then the eye af won't fail! Too bad I didn't realize it during my first videos 😅

Thanks for the helpful review of video focus settings; I am using a Sony a6500 increasingly for some of my one-person shoots, and this let me double check my settings for continuous automatic focus tracking while making video.

You just my friend, solved my months of struggle shooting myself. I bought a6400 and have been struggling to get sharp videos as either videos weren’t sharp enough or I just won’t be in focus at all. Not anymore.

I am a solo creator and am expecting this camera in later today! *excited is not the word* My community on twitch helped me to get the camerra and I've been doing research in preparation of getting this camera for months! I'm glad I was able to come across your video I've been doing a lot of reading where some people are complaining about the focus on this camera bouncing in and out when they are recording sooo I'm hoping this will remedy that, so that I can learn from and not repeat their same mistakes!! This is great and very helpful. How do you use touch tracking when you are recording yourself and you aware from the camera? Do you set it where your guess where your face will be?

I go back and forth from shooting myself talking but then I hold up product at times where I need it to focus on that. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

@@curatedwithsafiyya I love it! There’s some things I would change… like I wish the sd card was separate from the battery for ease of use. I wish the screen was touch screen and that the screen flipped out like canon but the picture quality is amazing.

This has been great! I am a single content creator and figuring it all out by myself so thank you. I adjusted all the settings as you described but my camera keeps focussing regularly (like for sure each minute) any idea how to change this? I already turned AF speed on normal

if I may, I have one rather specific question- I want to buy this camera to film myself indoor climbing (bouldering). I assume this camera is able to track me if my back is facing the camera, but would the background become blurry in return? Will I be able to see the holds and the route I am climbing if all the focus will be on me?

I am a solo creator and i record on my smartphone Samsung A10s with crappy stabilization 🥺😅🤣 but yeah got to do it till i can afford for a better camera♥️🙈 even though this camera that you showed is the ideal for my type of content where i need action camera but yeah i love the camera and its features💯👌

An, this was great. My a7c all of a sudden was focus hunting and wasn’t sure why. The tracking setting was turned off. I had it on before so not sure if an update messed that up. Thank you.
Good good. One thing though. What good is touch to track when AF system is already set to prioritize faces?

what about if i'm on stage and i set it to auto focus. What's the best settings i should put? I usually just press record and just run on stage. I set my focus to Auto and go

I have an a7iv. Is there a way to set track focus to the joystick? its hard to touch to focus when using evf, is there a better way of doing that?
which lens do you prefer for shooting videos on the a6400?
Hi, my camera (6400) makes noises (like trying to focus all the time) when on AT - Continuous in video mode. The lens is E 50 mm F1.8 OSS APS-C Standard. I am a beginner and just bought the camera. Can I fix it somehow? Is it a problem with setting? Or is the camera and lens I bought broken? Thanks so much for your tutorials - learning so much!

Could you do a video for canon G7x ii camera as it’s so popular. I need to know best settings for vlogging because when you do auto track the auto focus leaves a noise in post from where the camera is hunting. If I keep it on afl that stops the noise but might be better for a sit down video setting
Also for sit down videos I find it leaves a white noise in my videos that sounds super annoying.
