Works great, bought the same remote off of amazon for $24. Took a couple of tries. I think that last step of push then push down for a long second seemed to do the trick for me. Followed exactly is pushes and timing then it worked for me. Pretty easy in the end. Thank you

Yeah I think it does. After the last step I synced the remote than press the lock one more time to see if it locks and it locks and unlocks twice ( this the second try after syncing the remote before I opened the door I kepted on pressing the lock button on the remote just to see if it works on the last step a few time before i opened the door and car resets. It’s would just lock and unlock twice when I press remote before door opens and remote don’t work again) but I should Just lock and unlock once when you pull the key and once after syncing remote but it cycles twice for each of those two steps. I might have to record it. If this doesn’t make sense but yeah
@@diounly5102 did you figure it out? I have same issue. I’m brought an old vehicle back from the boneyard, the battery was dead. The alarm was very tricky at first and would not allow car to start, but I eventually got it started. I think that process did something to immobilizing system.

This worked perfect. Bough the same key from Amazon as well. $24 bucks. I bought this 2003 4 runner (v6) used in amazing condition recently and it only came with an old twist key. This is a huge upgrade to be able to lock and unlock with remote. Also the back window goes down as well. I can’t get it to go back up with remote tho. Not a huge deal but ya.
@@PhelpsLife Check the owners manual for the back windows. My 2007 4Runner SR5 allowed me to roll down/up the windows with the original manufacturer key fob. Great video though Womackke! Saving me money.
To bring the rear windows back up use your key in the rear door and turn it right right and hold it. It will lock the truck and roll up your window. :)

problem with that new style fob, depending on how many keys you have had done you have to take it to the dealer to get a reprogram including the original key so its not a plug and play
Hi everyone so after the new key has been chipped will it ever be able to get I chipped from the 4Runner? My questions is pretty much since these are some cheap aftermarket keys I just bought from EBay will they ever malfunction and not be programmed after awhile or is it chipped forever? What if you drop the key into water will it work again or will it short the key out? Asking this because I’m hiding it outside the 4Runner for spare/lock outs and scared that if it’s sitting outside for awhile or get wet it might not work? Thanks guys!
@@womackke thank you.. had a hard time with Homedepot and Walmart duplicating my keys.. they saying they are not liable blah blah blah. They can duplicate but they wont. Ended up paying a local shop $5 each and it was really fine paying. Just ranting about lazy workers from homedepot and Walmart

The back window button programs automatically like the other 3 buttons (lock, unlock, and alarm). If your window isn't rolling down, then use the button on the dash to roll the window down and up. The button on the FOB only works when the window is all the way up. Sometimes you have to roll the rear window down and up with the button on your dash to make sure it is seated all the way up. When the window is all the way up, the button on the FOB should roll it down like normal. This applies to the factory FOB too.
I got mine to lock and unlock the car remotely but I can't turn my car on when I turn it in the ignition. All the dash lights come on, same with the stereo. But the engine just turns over but doesn't turn on.

Got question on the cycles I did this multiple times and every time it’s supposed to cycle it does it twice instead of once

@@womackke Ah ok. I am assuming they did that for safety since there are no stop sensors to make it stop going up if something were to get stuck.

I programmed my new Fob, but original is now dead. What did I do wrong?
There may have been to many programmed and it erased the rest. Try reprogramming your old one same as you did the new one

The programming actually programs they key to the car not the car to the key. Basically it let's the car memorize the keys rfid

There is a roll pin on the key blank that’ll need to be drove in and it’ll hold the fob and blank together
So I get to where the buttons have to be pressed at the same time and the lock cycles twice and not once and the remote doesnt work.
Make sure you are pressing at the same time hold for 2 seconds or so. Wait for a few seconds and press lock
