    I loved the petunia comments. It made me laugh. It makes me so happy that the sheeting is made from corn starch rather than plastic. The less plastic used in the world the better.

    Now this video was tops Thanks Andrew for showing a variety of farmland duties. That big green new machine is massive and I’m so glad you have some air conditioning. Lovely to see Lauren and your mum keeping company with their men. Again love hearing the crunch of fresh, fresh veggies. Take care all and stay safe, xxx

    I bought my husband a combine in 1982...he was soooo excited because the interest rate was near 18%. We just moved to Spirit River, AB and didn’t even have 1/2 a penny to rub together. Life was much simpler then. He’s since passed away 😭 and I’d love a life farming again. Watching you guys enjoy a whole life together is wonderfully amazing. Stay close, love each other, and let the wave of life move you all forward and together. ❤️

    How about doing some videos on the financial aspects of farming. Which vegetables are the most cost effective? Why do you sell them like you do and what are the alternatives of selling? What are the major problems of farming and barriers of entry etc? Why has your whole family gotten into working the farm and not gone into other careers or moved away? When your parents retire or pass away how will the farm be divided up? What are the pros and cons of livestock as opposed to grains or veggies or fruit trees or nut trees?

    Just wondering if you could tell how often you should water tomatoes and peppers to help us home Gardner’s out. I have a little trouble with them. Thank you and a great video

    • @theveggieboys
      @theveggieboys  4 роки тому +2

      That’s a harder question to answer than you think 😂 a lot depends on where you like, what soil you have , etc. However I will say once your tomatoes are about 50% turning in color (half the plant is turning red) Stop watering as you will split the tomatoes. Peppers will take water all year up till frost or freeze.
      The biggest problem I’ve seen is that people OVER water their vegetables. Overwatering leads to a lot of disease.
