Thanks for sharing the that you have a hard time with onions and certain other crops!! Your bountiful harvests are amazing and it is partly because you figured out what loves your soil and climate! ❤️🌽🥕🥦🎃🥬🌶🫑❤️
you don't know me but I'm the oldest of 11. I grew up on a third generation fruit & vegetable farm. I live in north central ohio. we had mostly sandy soil. this time of year we would pick between 150 to 300 bushel of cantaloupe & 500 to 600 watermelons. we'd pull about the same amount of sweet corn as you. we'd grow acres & acres of potatoes & dig them with a one row digger. never was able to watch a high school football game. we also had 75 to 80 milking cows. all I can say more power to you
Appreciate the in depth explanation.Love the quality control and care you take in providing the best products to your customers.I wish I lived close by..
Wow, that was interesting. I never knew that each kernel needs to be pollinated. I don't garden any more but I used to and that info would have helped my garden, no doubt. Anyway, keep these videos coming. I truly enjoy each one. I live in The Pas - north western Manitoba and there are some nice gardens around here. We have a shorter growing season than you but longer days.
I love to grow vegetables, I believe the effort you put into your plants will depend on how much you will get from them! Honestly, I've learned a lot from "The Veggie Boys", I appreciate the knowledge you'll give, thank you!
Glad to see you hydrating!,! Blasted crows have no manners, they don’t even finish one before they go and peck into another. Great looking vegetables, wish I was close by.
I really appreciate all the different information you provide. Being raiser in the farm belt of California, I didn't know all of these things. Being reminded of everything about your foods to share is really good. Trying to eat healthier. God Bless You and Your Family.
I appreciate the sound of hurt , and agitation in your voice. When you found the broke over pepper plant. Ive worked in the Horticultural industry for the better part of 30 yrs.And have seen my little leafy babies hurt. All ways saddened, and some times angered me at the same time.
We really like your dad, he must be fun to work with. I love how you all "eat" what you grow in your videos. Snacks galore. I just love your "bubbly" personality. Keep the vids coming, much appreciate them. Doug in KS.
Your dad's awesome! Great video, I really enjoy learning about what's you guys are doing there. The info on the corn was excellent, I never knew that. I've been subscribed for a couple of days, and I'm almost done watching all your videos. Great videos, great channel, and great work. Thanks for sharing :) Thumbs up as always
The 1/4" long pollen capsule contains tens of thousands of pollen grains. When the capsule opens, it releases the pollen that then falls on the silk. A pollen grain is the size of a speck of dust. The capsule will drop but has already done it's job by then.
Hi Andrew, another great video. I liked learning how the sweet corn is produced. Yet again, you all certainly worked hard to fill those bins with produce. Have a restful night, until next time, bye xxx
Best channel on youtube. It makes me happy watching you guys and of course your dad enjoying every moment on the fields! I have a small 15 Acre patch and I can't wait to start working on it :D
Love all of your vids. I am from Allentown but live in SoCal now. Brings back good memories. FYI, people love learning, and the more vids on that, especially as fall hits, the better. Show folks all the PA Dutch pies and cakes. and how they are made.
Andrew, Another educational and entertaining video! It shows just how hard you guys and other farmers across this great country of ours work to provide food for our tables. 👍 God bless you and your family and all farmers! ✝ Stay healthy!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge Dad, would you mind letting me know what ingredients % wise you use for starting your plants, it must be a good mix being that your plants come out nice and healthy, thank you! 😀
I'm a cnc programmer/operator and i'd drop my career in a heartbeat for this life style lol. Application please? xD Makes me miss my grandpas farm and all the tractors when i was young... Thank you for all your vids dude!
That "Monarch" Sweet corn looked like it could be a meal itself, as it was so big with plenty of kernels. . Luckily two towns East of me there is many thousand acres of "Zellwood Sweet Corn" . Best of all I only have to drive 3.4 miles to a farm stand at a Citrus Grove to get my corn. Nice vlog & appreciate you sharing your family's' work.
I have read somewhere that birds peck at tomatoes not for the fruit but for the water. The trick maybe to provide a water trough near the trees and they may avoid the tomatoes.
I grow a lot of things, but I think my favorite is corn. I've been growing a variety called Serendipity the last two years. It's one of the new triple sweet varieties. We like it a lot. Also, do you guys ever try to hunt the crows? Sounds like you have a little trouble with them.
I wish we had a veggie provider like you guys near us! I remember a few farm stands/stores when I was younger but I think y’all are a dying breed and that’s soo sad!😢 Do y’all have a video on how to choose the best ear of corn?
In the fields with crows put up some poles and tie plastic bags to them. Or get some wind catchers. The movement stops them from coming in. 😁 Hope that helps
Thank you Dad for explaining how corn is pollinated!!! I never knew this and love learning something new!

It's great to see such a family with everyone pitching in and enjoying what they do.

Yeah it's cool
Come for the veggies, stay for the dad.
He calls himself the “star”
The "corn star" 🌽😆
Fact
@@theveggieboys How much does it cost in water yearly and how many gallons do you go through?
Cole the corn star

Stopped by the farm market today, I’ll be pickling peppers tomorrow. It is a lovely store
your farm is totally grand, great video
Blueberry farmers have the same bird problem so they pipe predator bird calls in to the patches. Works like a charm.
Neat idea

Beautiful haul of peppers. Garlic!!!! Mmmm....pickled peppers and garlic.
Love the big farm channels like Welker and Millennial, but most people grow veggies not cereals at home. So much more entertaining, keep it up!
Glad to see you hydrating!,! Blasted crows have no manners, they don’t even finish one before they go and peck into another. Great looking vegetables, wish I was close by.

That is fascinating. My corn came in like the bad ear. I may have issues with the new batch too because Sally knocked whole row over.
Great video👍🏻😎. Thanks
I know that pickin down on your knees or bent over like that is BACK BREAKIN WORK!!!!
7:20 Wonderful Bell Peppers Congrats!
Love your show 👍👍👍👍🍅
Y’all are to cool love from Kentucky.
I have read somewhere that birds peck at tomatoes not for the fruit but for the water. The trick maybe to provide a water trough near the trees and they may avoid the tomatoes.
. . . . another good reason for planting different varieties. . a bug or sickness that takes out one variety might leave others alone. . .
I’m new to the channel, I’m really enjoying it.
I'm getting addicted to your channel lol. Can u please do a video on you do your business plan.
I grow a lot of things, but I think my favorite is corn. I've been growing a variety called Serendipity the last two years. It's one of the new triple sweet varieties. We like it a lot. Also, do you guys ever try to hunt the crows? Sounds like you have a little trouble with them.

I don’t have a video on that, however in the future maybe we can share something.
Very interesting on the pollination learn something new everyday
Thanks for watching
Yo man this is super informative stuff, hope u get 1mil sub soon, love from india❣
I didn't know how the kernels formed.. very interesting information.
I’m glad you enjoyed!
I enjoy you harvest your vegetables, what state is your farm in? Thanks!!
Pennsylvania
In the fields with crows put up some poles and tie plastic bags to them. Or get some wind catchers. The movement stops them from coming in. 😁 Hope that helps
Good idea
Your corn looks spotty this year compared to last year and there a lot more weeds in the pepper.
Noticed quite a bit of large weeds in your pepper plants. Wondering why you don’t weed as your harvesting your peppers.
Where do you guys farm? And I’m just going to say, the sound of you guys picking is very satisfying!
North east Pennsylvania, lol I love the sounds of picking
