This one has removing the handlebars, wheel, brake calliper and sliders. I managed to undo the slider bolts without the use of the damper rod tool I do have to use it for reassembling though.
Hi Lunmad. Thanks for your wonderful videos. Today I dropped the fork sliders off, replaced the springs, gaitors and oil thanks to your teachings. If you ever come to Belfast look me up for your payment in Beer. Cheers Mark
I realised this was the problem but could not work out how to switch the bloody headlight off, quick call to ex owner and ignition key was turned the other way, Bonny started and ran to our late ferry and even started and ran off at the other end, got to our trailer and we were ecstatic, What a fun weekend and now we have a classic to build and some brilliant you tube videos to watch. .
Hi Nifty :-) a trip to Ireland for me might just be on the cards this year I fancy a blag along the Antrim coast. I'm glad my vid helped you get sorted.
Sounds like you had a blast, shame the Bonnie "almost" let you down, but still got back to the trailer. Bonnies tend to get you home before they break down properly. Check the ign switch is wired correctly, then check rectifier then Zenner.
We were foot passenger's from Cairnryan to Belfast then spent a night in Belfast which was lovely, then the next day we took a black cabs tour which was excellent took us round all the famous trouble spots. then we took a train to where we picked up bike spent a night in a hotel then drove to ferry next day, Unfortunately we did not make it got to 2 miles from ferry and could even see the bugger when the Bonny stopped, Flat battery. arghh
@thirteendreams Hi thirteendreams :-) I am not sure if moving the choke lever was to unclutter the bars or Trumpy trying to save money on cables and a splitter box. I mentioned the dowty on this one!! thanks to your comment on my T120 fork vid part 2 on its way :-) How is your Trumpy going all good I hope.
@pushur Hi pushur :-) a fair amount of work could be saved, if the bar mounts where a bit further back then you could remove fork springs without removing bars.
Hi Lunmad Do you have a fan club because I would like to join, Your vids have been a great help in the strip and rebuild of our T140e that we bought a couple of months ago (From Ireland) my lady and I had a lovely weekend picking the poor old thing up lol. If you get over to the emerald isle I would recommend a Black cabs tour of Belfast, absolutely brilliant takes you round all the dodgy bits and is a real experience. Kind of like owning a Bonneville I suppose.
@thirteendreams Hi thirteendreams :-) I think you will like the UK bars, I have mine pushed forward so the ends point up a bit. The flasher unit on mine was on a springy thing in-between the coils. I have had a couple of rides which where nice but cold, spring soon fingers crossed.
Hi Lunmad, greetings from Queensland Australia! This video clip was perfect for me as I need to replace fork seals. Where can I find Part 2 so I know how to finish? Again, many thanks.
Hi Ob :-) I like to show most jobs can be done without special tools but will agree an impact wrench will make short work of the job and others. For me though on the odd occasion I would use one it is not worth the outlay.
Hi Bill no m8 no fan club I have started an FB page and a Twitter page "what's that all about then!" Ireland is a place I want to go to The Antrim Coast is supposed to be amazin.

Hi Peter part two is in the up next playlist also on my Channel page it is in a playlist T140 engine/frame.
Hope this helps
An electric or pneumatic impact makes short work of the slider bolts without the tool in most cases.
