COMSCC - Watkins Glen TT Lap - T80 Supra - 2.07.4 - August 27, 2024

Not my best work. Ended third in class. The racing excuses today are:
1) With the shifter popping out of gear and the timing coming disconnect on a curb before the laces - distracting me into the heel of the boot - I left quite a bit of time on the table. It also means I have no data for these laps...
2) I had to do an emergency brake fluid flush after my foot went to the floor in the second to last session, so I wasn't fully trusting the car to stop first lap and didn't get to run a TT sim lap with the TT rim set (different size tires)
3) My front left pad was almost gone, versus the right, which was making the car very unstable under braking
4) I threw the car in too much into the final corner to add to the mess
5) The car seemed to pull timing after the first lap, so even though I drove better the following laps, the time was .5 slower each time. Looking at the up and down on the splits, it looks like the issues in the boot alone cost over a second...
There, I feel better now!
There is always next year! Freakin’ amazing track and over 147 mph into the bus-stop is incredible!
