A BRIEF BIO
Pastor Brad is exactly who he sounds like, a Pastor named Brad--who is also an 80s style, Christian metal recording artist. Growing up during the golden age of metal, Brad picked up the guitar in 1982. In 1987 he became a Christian, a decision that revolutionized his life & continues to do so to this day. In 2004 he launched Pastor Brad Rocks as a platform for sharing his music with the world. To date, Brad has released more than two hundred songs!
Brad has been blessed to work with several of his heroes! Richard Lynch & Dee Harrington (SAINT) appear on several songs on RESHREDDED (2006). Les Carlsen (Bloodgood) laid the lead vocal on HE LOVES ME (BREAK OUT, 2010) & Ken Tamplin contributed the lead vocal on TURN UP THE LIGHT (BREAK OUT 2010).
CHRISTIAN METAL PASTOR
Being both a Christian Pastor & a Hard Rock/Metal artist/music fan, Brad has a stong desire to serve the "heavy music" community. The Primary Aim of The Pastor Brad Rocks Channel is to Rock You (everyone) Up for Jesus with Classic Style Christian Hard Rock & Metal Music, & Practical Bible Teaching. Pastor Bob Beeman of Sanctuary International is another "Christian Metal Pastor" (who I respect deeply). My hope is that this channel, in concert with others like Pastor Bob's will serve the Christian Hard Music Community well and reach Hard Rock & Metal Spiritual Seekers--with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

I've just discovered whitecross just by looking for Christian rock music. There are no local Christian radio that will play this great music. I find that rather sad, I don't have anything against any type of Christian music but I've always heard how Christian music should not be rock music and so I've struggled with this but after hearing whitecross I have found that these people are wrong ( no disrespect to them) I really believe whitecross is good Christian music that I really love, love the sound of guitar and the lyrics takes it home. Thank you whitecross for the great uplifting music. Christian music.

Great video Pastor Brad! When I discovered great Christian Music with driving guitars, there were what I call a few waves: 1. 1985/86 Daniel Band, Jerusalem, Petra, Rez and Stryper. 2. 1987/88: Barren Cross, Bloodgood, Leviticus, Messiah Prophet, Saint and Whitecross. 3. 1989/90: Angelica, Deliverance, Guardian, Halo, Holy Soldier (discovered them in a page spread in Metal Edge around 1987 where there was a pic of a band member or 2 along with band pics of Messiah Prophet, Saint, Stryken and Leviticus and a blurb on each band but I figured I would include HS in this wave where I bought their debut cassette in the summer of 1990), Idle Cure, Mastedon, Shout, Sacred Warrior, Ken Tampin, and X-Sinner. 4. 1991/92 Siloam. I found out about many other bands like Darrel Mansfield Band, Crystavox, Die Happy, Lovelife/Fear Not, Joshua, Recon, The Brave, Dreamer during these years but bought their albums years later. I love the music of Whitecross and I prefer the Rex Carrol years of 1987-1993 and the latest albums Fear No Evil but Unveiled (1994) has some good tunes too. Rex just shreds on guitar. I like how the bass player on that In the Kingdom era video had that swagger as he seems he was having a great time playing live!

Hello, Pastor Brad. Whitecross has been very important in my life too, because it helps me stay spiritually healthy. I thank God for this project. I'm sorry that Scott is not currently in the band, I have a great appreciation for his style. I've also never seen a Whitecross show in person, so you're in luck.

Thumbs up. Of course I liked it. I have this old VHS tape but it's been awhile. I completely forgot that their name also came from Isaiah, most people know that is where Stripes, er, Stryper got their name. Last summer I was a little hesitant seeing Whitecross perform, but I was not let down with the new singer.
Very cool... yes, I had the same "hmmm... interesting..." thought about both Stryper & Whitecross drawing upon Isaiah for thier band name. And--I totally agree--the new singer---while not Scott, is very good in his own right. I enjoyed him at Immortal Fest 2023, and (Lord willing) I'm looking forward to seeing him/Whitecross at Immortal Fest 2024! Thanks for sharing!
Back in the early 90s it was hard to find these bands since they didn’t play them on local radio. Fortunately some of the old record stores had music that you could listen to before you bought it. I would always go to the Christian section and pull out any cd that looked like what I would expect a rock group to look like and listen. Lucky I stumbled on white cross early. Great video
