Aftermarket O-rings were 1 red and 1 black. I followed your instructions for my 2005 Civic and must took just 10 minutes to change both O-ring seals, reinstall the hoses and tighten up the clamps and remount the small power steering tank connected to both hoses & then refill the power steering fluid, turned steering wheel around a few times from lock to lock, drove around a few blocks and checked PS steering fluid, low but refilled it and checked later, no leaks that time. Hope this stops my power steering leak because it's in that general area.
Thanks for the video. I think you may have saved me $250. I was about to buy a power steering pump. When all I might need is 2 O rings. Let's hope it's only the old rings.
This guy is the best I love he showed part number and color he said it’s not important but was very important it was leaking cuz I put the wrong color I thought it wouldn’t matter lol
Hey thanks for the video brother, very informative. Did the cam seal work for you? Did it stop the oil leak in front of the block? Also how did those rings go? Was your power steering fluid still leaking?
Yeah i have the 02 but my cam seal doesn't have that much room to pop it in & out, but thanks for the vid was wondering why the oil was coming from there
If you have a 2002 civic with the vtec and EGR valve you might have to get a nut/bolt extractor because you're going to strip the nut closest to you because it's going to be very hard to get a socket in there and flush on it for it to be able to turn My whole bolt came out with the nut still attached after letting it sit in wd40 😤😂😑😔😖
@@hondaresource man would of loved to see that one! Hell after removing the egr valve its so dam rusty just ordered a new one & the 1 nut was seized up so hard the whole bolt came out w/a extractor
This is why I love civics. You can basically work on them yourself.
Didn't realize how easy that cap was to replace thanks for the video!
I just did another one yesterday
Quick tip to change the cap is to jack the car on the right side so the oil moves to the left side so you will have less spill of oil in there.
good tip!
Isn’t the cap on the left side when you replace it? Wouldn’t that make more oil?

Facts where do I buy the rings at?
@@FutureDreamZz I bought the two little O rings for the power steering pump lines at o'reilly's

Awesome dude you made that very simple for a guy who is just learning about his civic
Glad it helped
Crazy how a damn gasket can make so much mess on the ps pump. Thanks. Gotta do this asap.

I live in Huntsville. I’m fixing to try to get in touch with you to bring my 01 lx to have some work done on it!

Thank you for another video. This wasn’t the problem either. Let’s keep searching together ! 👍 I’m going for the vtec solenoid next
That could definitely be an issue.
OE parts are a must.
I love oem quality
Fireing order depends on the car Civic 2001 is 1432 and clockwise rotation. 2001 CRV is counter clockwise and fireing order is 1342

Best of luck with it!

Correct firing order is 1342
My car leaks the same could it be vtec sensor?
Yes. Vtec solenoid is prone to leaking
Will it leak that much to where it flows down tranny , when I turn on car it gets oil on the dimple on top of solenoid
It can definitely leak a lot
I like the 7th gen i have one in a coupe 5 speed
I've bought and sold a lot of them. I've personally owned a manual sedan, a k20a3 auto sedan, and now my hybrid sedan.
