Volgens mij stamt de Waterpoort nog uit de jaren zestig. Leuke film. Eerste keer dat ik in Groningen zo’n tewaterlating zie.

Leuk om alles nog terug te zien, bedankt voor het filmen. Vanaf de ANNA 6 was er weinig tijd om met iets anders bezig te zijn dan dat wat wij moesten doen.

It would appear that stern-first launches are not as big a spectator sport as their sideways counterparts. So few remained to watch the docking procedure which is just as necessary as getting the vessel into the water. I must look out for JAN D's delivery video to see if the port of registration gets its final coat of white paint - just like the name. There used to be a shipyard in my home town and this was the manner in which its vessels were launched. Until I got used to them, sideways launches were bizarre!
