Great testimony.
In August 2021, I had covid, I went outside and circled my house, praying for protection for my family and myself, ended up no one else got covid and I barely had any symptoms, I praise the Lord for that, my point being there is something about walking around praying and praising to the Lord.

Glory to God! I can’t really sing unless I’m glorifying God. I can hear the difference in my voice. I’m 53, playing guitar and singing since 7, and play at a homeless shelter. Never ceases to amaze me that I worship the Lord and I actually sound like I can sing.

Your story makes me want to cry happy tears! I am so moved. Butterflies within the last couple of years have become a very important sign/symbol for me in my walk with Jesus. I love when Christ just intervenes in our stories and does something amazing, like He did with you. May you, may none of us, ever stop sensing His Presence or Love, even in the darkness.

On August 3rd, 1985, my brother was on his honeymoon in France. He and his bride had eaten a meal in Colmar at a Tunisian restaurant. Outside the restaurant was a big old fountain. His wife sat on the fountain and Steve leaned up against her. Steve fell over to the ground. He was 27, healthy and a missionary in Pakistan. His wife thought he was kidding around. But when she saw his face - she knew he was already with the Lord. His body was brought back to the states and we had a grave side service. A beautiful butterfly followed our five yr old daughter throughout the service and afterwards. I was still in shock and in major grief, but Amy said, Steve is like that butterfly. She said, "God changed him, He gave him a new body and now he's free from this earth." That perfect statement helped me begin to heal and give me perspective to life. Steve was not dead in the ground - but more alive than we were! How did my precious daughter understand this deeply spiritual truth at the age of five? Almost exactly 27 years later, Amy was called Home. She was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer two weeks after giving birth to her only child - a son and she only lived 10 1/2 more months. She was not surprised that she was the one in eight women who find themselves with breast cancer but she fought for life and had many wonderful experiences with the Lord like the one you described claiming restoration for your voice. We both grew closer to the Lord through her illness. At her celebration of life service which was held at her beloved elementary school where she taught, the principal gave me a book called "The Butterfly Effect". She said Amy helped produce small changes in her students lives that would make big differences in the future and have an effect on many others. Little did the principal know that butterflies were so significant to Amy and to me.

It's not easy to share such a personal story and include speaking in tongues! But you did and I want to thank you for being brave and being humble. I love the compairison of the metamorphoses of a butterfly to life. My 2 year old class just watched them grow from caterpillar to butterfly, and it was beautiful. Such a powerful story!
I was absent mindedly listening to Butterfly, just recently while working on some track labelling, in and was suddenly flooded with Joy. How beautiful are the feet of those who (in this case) sing the good news.

English is not my first language, so i heard Butterfly many times without understand it completely, but i saw short of a mystery in it, then, when i searched for the translation it really touch my heart and speak to me in a special and spiritual way.

This will probably come off really corny but here goes: the whole process of the struggle the butterfly has trying to exit the chrysalis forces the blood into its wings...if you help it or take that process out of the equation, it won't be able to fly.

Thank you for sharing this story! My nine year old loves your music, and I can't wait to show him this video. To clarify, our whole family really enjoys your music and the gift you have been given. God used butterflies to speak to me after my cancer surgery and around the time of my grandmother's passing. My grandmother's mother used to write Ecclesiastes 3:11 in every card she would send me. Can't help but think of that verse when seeing a butterfly! He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end. Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV

I love this! It’s also one of my favourite songs on the album.
And isn’t it funny how when a caterpillar roams about he is crafty and amazing with his little silk rope and eats up a ton of food but then all of a sudden gets the urge to find shelter in the things familiar, wraps himself in a process he never thought possible, sits in stillness and quietness for a time and then emerges with a struggle. If you help the thing escape it will die because it needs the struggle to be able to survive and get its parts moving. But if you let it be, it will shake and move and break free and merge as a beautiful butterfly. Afterwards it has a new take on life and new vision of its purpose, and a new vantage point as it flies around seeing parts of the garden that just looked liked food before. It now alights on flowers to draw what flower created for him. He takes from the pollen and actually helps to populate the flowers and fruits by spreading the pollen. The butterfly really shows us the beauty of God taking us through a process of transformation. Amazing

The Lord was singing this song over Josh. And now He is singing through Josh over His people.
It’s as if God is birthing the miraculous in you. You eked out a living from what God gave you before and grew a lot but then in the right season of your life you knew there was a change that needed to happen. So you got back to your roots. And as you began to go create something from your heart your gift was transforming and what the enemy meant for evil to stop you from creating what God gave you to create, God meant for your Good. Like birthing pains or the metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly. God is taking you into the next season of your life and giving wings to your music. Like you are in a season of breaking out of a Chrysalis, and Gods calling you to soar with Him in your music rather than just take of the nourishment He is providing along the way. Awesome man, I have been watching this happen all over the body of Christ as she matures and grows and gives birth to her God given dreams!

Amazing to hear of someone using praise to overcome! That's what I want to become-- a person of praise, regardless of circumstances. I could not help but be reminded of another healing of someone's voice. His name is Duane Miller. There's a video on UA-cam about it, for anyone interested in a similar testimony. :)
