Wow! Josh if you ever see this I want you to know how immensely helpful this has been to me. I’ve been going through my own crisis moment and it has led to a great surrender and trust in the Lord. Your talk is giving me language to express my experiences. I can testify from personal experience that what you are saying is true and spot on. Thank you and God bless you!

Josh's music is even starting to touch my husband . With Josh's music and lyrics. For my husband has been a bass player for 30 yrs and has been kinda a local celebrity in Central Illinois playing classic rock and some original music . My husband is really getting the scales removed from his eyes with prayers and of course God's doing. He actually asking me about this song or that song of Josh's and wants me to play it to listen too. Josh you are touching so many people with your music and your storytelling lyrics . May Jesus keep you humble and keep making music to bring more to christ . You are a servant and tool for christ .hallelujah! Brother in christ .

Only been introduced to Josh Garrels for a little over a month, but the inspiration I received through his music is astounding. This is the second speaking video I've seen and this one, by far, hit home. Since I am 66 years old, I'm not looking to build something now, but I know I am getting closer to the end of my race. Like Josh, I pray that I will finish well, even better than when I started.

Do not think you are out or it is too late, I work for a major Christian company and a man who was 83 and use to be a pastor is training pastors in latin america. it is never to late and you are never to old, be encouraged my friend!

Wow. I have been in a lousy mood listening to the enemy while working, working, working. And feeling exhausted, I played music to distract myself. I was listening to Needtobreathe and I was feeling it but I knew the song would end.
I taught ‘what musicians music could help’ and Josh Garrels pops in my head.
I listened and l started thinking about him as a person. His music shines and it speaks and it declares God. God, the one I need.
Still my battle is hard for me and I looked up ‘Josh Garrels interview’ cause I need wonder if I’m going to keep fighting the good fight.
Then I click on this video.
Wow. This was packed with so much. There was definitely wonder but to hear Josh Garrels say, disappointment from making it in your career is bound to happen and God, God is the one truly to be wonder filled for, is something that has made me stop. Stop just always exhausted and complaining and look up

I just discovered your Train Song, and so enjoy and appreciate the nuances of quieter sounds - the underlying call abounds in the bigger message - which is of course, by itself, a deafening call to know Him deeper, personally, for who HE is not, what we may have thought or possibly made Him. What a great share and testimony Josh... thank you! May God use you to deliver a song to change the world....

And of course none of us will do that perfectly. But as you rightly point out, God will bless and guide us. We are utterly dependent on Him. And even when we go against Him, he is faithful to bring us back to Himself. We are a people so secure, not because of our success' but rather because He is faithful. And again you're right. First time for making a serious youtube comment. I have watched this two times and definitely think Josh could make a worldwide impact based on his talent and desire to put his relationship with the creator as his first priority and to seek creative inspiration from Him. He did mention the idea of writing a song that could circle the globe, but possibly this message if implemented by the 562 people that liked it could change the world forever. Jesus only had 12 disciples. For another approach to it, I recommend reading Brother Lawrence "The Practice of the Presence of God" (they did not have youtube back then).

Overcomers become the Bride at His side, . . . “To him who overcomes I shall give to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne." Rev 3:21.
HalleluYah! Bo Yeshua! Wonderful Pilgrimage in Messiah. Our testing, aka REFINING, is such a sweet blessing of suffering trials and coming out above them without midway escapism or bailing out or begging for deliverance too soon. Once led to the place of overcoming we are often led to being still and overcoming greater things to His glory. He is always forming us. So grateful for Josh's music and this testimony by which, with the Blood of Messiah, will save. Again, HalleluYah! Amein 🌼

Yeah that wake of men and women, who have destroyed their lives, is the reason the Lord made me pray that, if musical success would take me away from Him, then I wouldn't be granted it. Nothing yet. And that's for the best. Everything works together for good, for those who love God, and are called according to his purpose.

I once read....Thomas Merton, maybe.....that music is made from rhythms. Rhythm is created from sound in-between absences of sound. Therefore, if there is no absence of sound there is no rhythm: no music. We must all be found in life making music, seeking a rhythm in our relationship with our Father.

Brother I disagree. Music, musicians, fame or stardom is not the vehicle Jesus uses. He uses people, ordinary, low born, low educated (cause there is no other kind) people to share the good news. We just have to believe with all our heart and soul and then He performs the miracles. He saves the souls. We are the lowly instruments. Recording songs, making deals, publishing music are not His instruments. Those are the things that prop us up for the bigger and bigger fall that teaches us how to need Him. My prayers are with you and your family and I hope the fall is low and not too high. We all must fall.
