Noticed when you installed diff carrier and bearings/shims there was no resistance to inserting the assembly into the axle housing. My understanding is that the shims should be a tight fit, even to the point of ‘hammering’ them in place….that provides the desired (necessary) preload on the bearings.
That’s entirely possible brother. No bad noises yet so we’re gonna go with it for now😂😂😂 had like 1200 miles on it since the swap, seems okay for now but based on the ETCG video I watched before I did it, I believe you are correct haha maybe I finally got lucky for once

8.8s come from p71s not sure in this case though I see he has a p71 but no 8.8
